The right coworkers will see what you bring to the table isn’t competition but instead that you are a team. My wins are your wins and vice versa. I have learnt though when something doesn’t add up in the books be careful who you report it to as you might be reporting it to the thief. Managers steal just as much as coworkers maybe more because they are in a position of trust. Don’t assume that your good ethics are the same as others or that maybe you are mistaken. Trust in your judgement and don’t let anyone dull your shine.

i’m also new to college and my strategy (which i found out is NOT normal) is to just be completely and truly myself with and prospective friends. not necessarily sharing as much as i would with a close friend, but all my behaviors stay the same at all levels of friendship

I didn't realise I might be autistic until I was 28, and until that time I struggled a LOT at work (I'm a teacher), even though I was beloved by my students and did all my work correctly. I once lost a job because I ""didn't socialise"" enough, and I've frequently been called out for not being "social enough" despite, again, being a pretty good teacher. The extra tasks that come with being a teacher (summer camps, proms, etc) are enough to send me into sensory overload. Thankfully I've now found a school that takes my needs into consideration, even though I haven't been diagnosed yet.
