Open me 💌 Hi everyone. Ceren and I recently decided to make videos about neurodiversity. So I drew a vtuber model and we wrote the script and shot the video. The video was delayed due to technical problems (like old vtuber model was not working properly) we apologize for that. In this video, we still have technical problems but we wanted to post the video. Hope you enjoyed the video ♥ Ceren's p...

i gotta say, the last one happened to me except i was diagnosed with depression, ADHD and SPD and i’m not entirely sure i should be taking the depression meds bc what if it’s something else like (which i possibly am) autism, bipolar disorder or something like that. it’s really confusing and i get really paranoid that taking the wrong medication which i don’t need is going to affect me negatively

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD (like, 3 years ago I think?) and it's changed a lot of things, like before, I thought I was dumb. Literally. Then my psychologist was like "Hold on a minute" and boom, life changed. Now, even more recently, I realized what dyscalculia actually is and I'm pretty sure I have it. Problem is, because I have it, I'm not majoring in anything science/maths related, so my psychologist totally brushed it off when I told her about it, probably because she doesn't think it's important since I won't use it as much as other people? But like... I need a summer job, so of course I'm gonna use mathematics! What do you think cashiers do all day?? I've had to use a cash box and it was hell, I counted an extra 300€ out of nowwhere for no bloody reason?? I also have absolutely no idea when most major events in my life took place, and I sometimes forget what year I was born and what age I am. I've also been living in the same city for 22 years, a medium-sized city, and I still get lost all the time. So, to all the people out there who think dyscalculia is just a funny little thing where you need to count on your fingers, no it's not, it's actually distressing as hell

These kind of videos are what makes people just think autistics are dramatic and attention seeking. All those years of fighting for decent treatment for kids to put out these non issues.

My grandma (that I live with) is always screaming at me for my vocal tics (groaning, grunting, throat clearing, squeaking) even though she knows I can't control it and that I can barely even tell I'm doing them. Like, Yia-yia, I'm sorry I'm loud, but yelling at me to stop is not gonna do anything

Sun through trees or radio? I'd take the radio. Let's be honest, the sun thing can be dangerous even for people without neurodivergencies because it impairs your vision. I've watched all those movies multiple times... except Grown Ups. I don't think I've ever seen Grown Ups The whole being told I was very mature for my age as a kid, only then to get told off for being childish as an adult is too real The last one... I haven't been to therapy yet but I'm worried that will be my experience

Oh, Aristocats. I loved it when I was younger. I think I watched it more than 20 times. But I loved Cinderella even more. I guess. I watched it a year ago and I knew I don’t like it anymore tho. I’m wondering how it would be watching Aristocats again… I read more often, so I probably have a book I repeat reading…?

💘 I'm so fascinated by dyscalculia! 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 I'm rather certain I have it, however, I was "the wierd kid in school that loved math" & it was definitely my best subject... I don't get it! ...but then again I have always tended to self sabotage by creating challenges for myself if things are going too well, so I guess tackling challenges is a dopamine seeking behavior??? I used to call math "fun number puzzles"! Maybe it was just down to the fact that my dyslexia was much worse & I hated words & spelling & read SO 🐌 slowly that it was easier to 'overcome' the dyscalculia than the dyslexia.... all of which was not diagnosed, of coarse. Also, dyscalculia has a big impact on Driving in a number of ways esp poor estimation of distances, speeds, etc. Which is why I finally accepted my self identification as dyscalculiac despite it seeming an absurd idea to me at surface level.

6:19 that there is very accurate. Hit the nail right on the head. I think it’s important to find the best fit for you. The right employer will see these traits as useful but not exploitable. The right coworkers will see what you bring to the table isn’t competition but instead that you are a team. My wins are your wins and vice versa. I have learnt though when something doesn’t add up in the books be careful who you report it to as you might be reporting it to the thief. Managers steal just as much as coworkers maybe more because they are in a position of trust. Don’t assume that your good ethics are the same as others or that maybe you are mistaken. Trust in your judgement and don’t let anyone dull your shine.

@3:40 Recently we had a meeting about the results of an anonymous poll regarding employee satisfaction with the company, and in our sector there was an 86% positive perception on tolerance and inclusion, so my boss was waxing poetical about how great that was, then I blurted out that we as a sector are over 90% able-bodied, straight white and male (i'm not), so of course no one had a problem. He laughed nervously. It wasn't meant to be a gotcha moment, just the truth lol
