I guess watching educational videos over here means a voice over that sounds like a lecturer rather than a movie preview autocue. I'd expect it in a boxing ring, or a cinema. I want to know things without having to stop quarter of the way through because the voice annoys me. Colin Furze has that craziness but at the same time you learn as you laugh. I mean laugh. He does crazy comedy properly. Go check him out.

Ab M it’s a lot of buildings and cars that could be fixed up and used by the homeless but people and governments they rather just let them go to waste
I give to homeless especially vets because I’m a vet, but homeless ppl need ppl to give them jobs. Just giving them places to stay with no income, cost. And it’s going cost the taxpayers not the government. Fix abandon buildings and keeping them running with no one paying going cost a lot. They not going for that bill.

That's a noble thing,but most people don't know how to take care of property that's not theirs...within a month,you will find all drainage systems in that whole apartment blocked,garbage allover.

We’ve been to Centralia. We live about an hour from there. It’s surreal for sure.
The mystery these places hold is amazing. It’s always so strange to think what used to happen around these cities.

visited ordos summer 2018 ..its NOT as empty as you think but what i found most surprising was the fact that new apartments (yes still building them !) costs are nearly matching 1st tier cities like GZ !!! now that's amazing!

Shortly before the upload of this video, the roads to Centralia have been covered with dirt and trees have been planted. There is no longer access to the town or mines (not that anyone would want to enter the mines)

What happened to Pripyat? This was the town which was close to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant which blew up in 1986. This city is now a ghost town.
No hunny!! People still live there!! Look it up!!! Some of the older people who have lived there their whole lives refused to leave when that tradegy happened

@@carmendilcherd4765 That's not true. The civilians who have returned are living outside the exclusion zone, but the Pripyat is pretty much empty... Even staff of the power plant, technicians, military they all live outside the town.
Unless you have lived under a rock for the past 50 years, you know about Pripyat, so I'm glad he didn't include it, its so well known there is no reason to cover it in this video

Goldfield mine is In Arizona. It’s 6 minutes from a Modern Circle K. This is 5 miles outside of Mesa Az that has a population of over 1 Million. Mesa is physically attached to Phoenix AZ which has over 3.5 million population. It is 41 driving miles across town from the State capital in downtown Phoenix to the Ghost Town. The ghost town is an attraction 7 days a week that has a train, tours, restaurants and a Zip Line.
Hardly what I would call abandoned.

I live near Centralia! Sadly Pennsylvania tore graffiti highway up :( it was a very big destination for teens/ young adults to go. Last i knew as well atleast 5 people still live there. They are allowed to live there until they pass.

I've been to Centralia before. It's really interesting if you know where to look.
By the way, you left out at least two other abandoned towns: Pitcher, Oklahoma and Treece, Kansas. Both were mining towns that had to be evacuated.
I live 20 min from the goldfield ghost town, you show 2 different places. The town of goldfield in Nevada is NOT the goldfield mine shown in the photos. Half of the photos are from Apache junction in Arizona, at the base of superstition mountain, where the lost dutchman treasure was hidden.
Why not to gives these places to homeless people and refugees.

S S S the buildings are there but plp need structure, you need plp to keep this place from collapsing , if you just throw plp there and just leave them there , they will die , without food, I’m sure running water is an issue, there is no nice way to say it but unless the plp there are capable of maintaining such a place , they are not gonna make it.
Saying that plp would have to have a system in place in order to say survive, then you are sending them out to die , maybe you were of the though that homeless plp don’t have money which is why they are homeless and therefore they wouldn’t be able to say pay taxes or anything like that . So the plp you want there have no means , and you would like to send them to a broken down city....what’s your purpose there then , clearly you are not helping but are in fact sending plp to their deaths .... and that that is stupid , I mean I you care for plp otherwise sure , just say that you don’t care and would just rather get them out of your town a la “South Park “

There’s some good ones here in Western Australia including old gold mining towns like Coolgardie and Wittenoom which was abandoned and wiped off maps because of contamination.

There was a mine there that mined asbestos but they didn’t realise it was getting in the air. The ground is now littered with asbestos and over 80% of the original township have contracted some form of asbestosis or asbestos related disease.

Warstone I know right! I was think that they just need to talk with major, discuss about purpose of the city and get it up and running again. Not all of them. If I had millions, I would have bought the city and remodel it. Bring life back to the area again.

#15: Ordos City now has a population of more than 2 million people and growing. I am understand if this video was made back in 2010 when it first surfaced as a "ghost town", but the video is just a few weeks old. Is it that hard to find more updated information?

I spotted the inaccuracy of your footage of Kelso. I do not recall Kelso being green like Oregon. Also, an abandoned town in Taiwan close to Taipei City is interesting but I question your research on that. And I am an Authorized Taiwanese Vacation Planner and Specialist.
