For long I like many other Assamese people was dismayed why our Hindi speaking brothers originating from Rajasthan were not interested in understanding the stellar or rather unique persona of Jyoti Prasad Agarwala. Today we are greatly satisfied that the people of India outside Assam too will know something about him. But still they will not understand with what love and sense of beauty Jyoti Prasad's songs are sung all over Assam in Schools, villages, clubs, theaters, town-halls, radio- centres- everywhere. Today may be not many may admire this Hindi translation, but one day this book will be of great value. Sanwarmal sanganeria ji ko dhanyabaad. This is a great step also in the direction of smooth assimilation of the so called Marwari community of Assam into the Assamese main stream.
