Nothing beats out the astethics of early 2000s and SWAT (the movie) portrays it very well.
As the 90s passed on, many people and the government still stuck using the old tech. Like that old body armour that has lots of holes in it as attaching point, then a lot of police vehicles was a customized version of their civillian counterpart (the Bomb squad truck and Suburban / Tahoe for instance).
We also seeing early 2000s technology comes at play throughout the movie. SWAT armed with M4 that has weaponlight and optics on it, they also drove in dedicated heavy truck which served multiple purpose including as a command post... Some of them are wacky but many of that technologies and concepts are carried into the current operation of LEOs in the America.
I love this PASGT helmet, the tactical vest, knee pads and the blue SWAT uniform from the 2000s, it's simply iconic and beautiful.

I think he was creating a marketing slogan for the ‘Polish Penetrator’.
Shotguns are used as a breaching tool using specific shells to shoot out the locking mechanism and hinges on Doors

i could be wrong as you only see the back for a second buy why does sanchez'es phone have nokia on the back then motorola on the front?
Nextel was the service provider and Motorola was the phone manufacturer.

You're a cop hauling a bunch of prisoners, it doesnt make more than 5 braincells to know that someone inside that others would enjoy seeing outside, its not hard to buy a cop car.
it's part of the plot im sure in real life sheriff deputies if they're transporting prisoners have protocols and don't stop for anyone else without authentification and definitely not for a LAPD patrol car. LASD supersedes LAPD.
