Hello and welcome to my channel! In today's video I review the Liteway Illusion Solo 1p, a light and compact single wall tent made in Ukraine. It's a 1-person tent, but it can accommodate two people, although it gets a little cramped. For me and my dog, however, it's perfect! I have made this review through a collaboration with Packraft Sweden.
First impressions of the Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
When I first received the Liteway Illusion Solo 1p from Packraft Sweden, I was impressed by how light and compact it was. This 1-person tent is made of silpoly, which is silicone-treated polyester. Silpoly has several advantages over silnylon, including better UV resistance and less water absorption.
Specifications for Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
Weight: Only 680 grams, but then without hiking pole and ground pegs included. Which makes it extremely easy to carry around. It also takes up very little space when packed.
Material: Silpoly, which is both durable and water-repellent.
Size: Perfect for one person with gear, or two people with minimal space. Or as for me and the doggy + hiking equipment.
Setup of Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
Setting up the Liteway Illusion Solo 1p was more complicated than I thought. But I'm learning and getting better every time.
I guide you through the entire pitch in the video. There are several different ways to raise it, I will later release a video on how I go about getting the best possible pitch. But I have to test more myself first.
Comfort and space in the Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
The Liteway Illusion Solo 1p offers enough space for one person and my dog to sleep comfortably. If two people use the tent it will be cramped, but it is definitely possible for shorter trips. For me and my dog, however, it is an ideal solution. But it should be mentioned that the manufacturer Liteway does not recommend the tent for people taller than 185 cm.
Weather resistance of Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
I've tested the Liteway Illusion Solo 1p in a variety of weather conditions, including light drizzle and light wind, and it stayed dry and stable. The Silpoly material is more UV-resistant and absorbs less water than Silnylon, which gives the tent better durability in long-term moisture.
Ventilation in Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
Ventilation is important to avoid condensation, and the tent has two higher vents + a mesh net along the entire floor that ensures good air circulation. This has worked surprisingly well. I got very little condensation and only one of the 7-8 nights I tried the tent. But will report back with more videos on how the tent performs after I test it more. The closest thing to mountain hiking will now be a week in Sarek on an alpine climbing tour in August.
Packing and transport of Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
The tent is easily packed into its included bag and takes up minimal space in the backpack. Weighing just 680 grams, it's one of the lightest 1-person tents on the market, making it ideal for long-distance hikes and other adventures.
Pros and cons of the Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
Advantages:
Lightweight and compact
Water-repellent and durable material
Large inside despite low headroom. There is room for lots of equipment in the inner tent.
Good ventilation
Disadvantages:
Tight for two people. Low ceiling height, if you want good headspace, you should probably look for another tent. It is not recommended for people taller than 185 cm.
Very small apse, it must be difficult to cook there.
The single-wall construction can lead to condensation under certain conditions.
It's hard to pitch, but if you learn it, you'll probably have a really awesome tent.
I have found an easy and good way to adjust the spaces between the inner tent and the apse against each other. So I can now choose whether I want a large apse or a large inner tent by angling the trekking pole.
Conclusions on Liteway Illusion Solo 1p
After testing the Liteway Illusion Solo 1p in various situations, I am very satisfied with its performance. This 1-person tent is a great choice for solo adventurers, especially if you have a four-legged friend with you. Despite some minor cons, the pros clearly outweigh it, and I highly recommend it.

Tackar, vill passa på att tillägga att jag fått mer kondens sedan den här videon. Den här gången var det mer, det var mycket fukt i luften och helt vindstilla.
På kvällen mot natten hade jag fukt på insidan av duken. På morgonen när solen gick upp så var det borta. Då blir det noga att inte komma åt tältväggarna.
Så jag skulle nog säga att maxlängd är uppskattningsvis 180cm. Annars är nog risken att man kommer åt innerväggarna. Men jag är fortfarande nöjd med tältet och kommer fortsätta att använda det.

Thanks, yes it gives so much more if you include everything and not just try to raise the tent to something it is not. There are no perfect tents, but I really think the advantages outweigh in this case.

Tackar, Hillebergs gör grymma tält👍 Det här är lättare men mer på gränsen gällande både utrymme och risk för kondens.
Får man kondens i Enan så skyddas man ju av innertältet medans här är det direktkontakt.
Och med utrymme menar jag just takhöjden i ändarna, för golvyta finns det gott om.
Så det är ju hela tiden en balansgång vad man väljer. Tackar som tittade🙂

Om man är 175 kort och sover ensam så kanske man har "massor med utrymme" men tältet ser ut att vara kort för den som är över 180 och definitivt för litet för den som är över 190.
Ja håller med. 190 cm går nog inte att vara, tillverkaren går ut med att man inte bör vara över 185cm.
Och mycket av allt extra utrymme så är ju golvytrymme. Det går ju bra att använda till att ha utrustning mm.
Men som jag säger i videon så kan man sova två i det. Men då blir det trångt.
För mig som är 175cm med en vovve på 14,5kg så räcker utrymmet gott och väl.
Då har jag också plats för utrustning i innertältet.
Ja, det blir som sagt fort mindre utrymme med sluttande väggar och sover man på en tjockare madrass än 5cm så blir det ofta för trångt för mig som också är 190cm
