    • @alwayzsmarter
      @alwayzsmarter Před 6 měsíci +12

      Would be a nice bonus for some board members of a "charity". Na let these players play for the prize themself and do with it what they wish. It's a very meaningful amount to them they aren't like NBA salaries and helps them try harder here if they actually get the full prize

    • @coltonmarples4269
      @coltonmarples4269 Před 6 měsíci +12

      @@alwayzsmarter It's more for the audience's enjoyment of the prize money. No issue with the players getting it but it's hard to really care about millionaires getting another million. Having each player declared for a charity raises awareness and can make if more fun to cheer if you have one you would prefer it go to.

      @@coltonmarples4269 I am skeptical of how charities use money and half of them incentivize the bad activity they claim to be helping anyway. And then I feel like it can become more political and crap where it's like shaming some player cause he didn't give to Black Lives Matter or something.
      Players on the other hand there's no gray area where the money is going. It's going to your fav players. The players make me happy and I want the player to get the little bonus directly

      @@coltonmarples4269 to me ideal charity is not some commercial showing u beat up dogs or cancer kids to get u to send money somewhere but rather more direct off standard. Like give $20k to some local coffee shops, or random good people in your local community. Pay to redo your neighbors roof idk. Idk I feel like the more third parties the more money gets misused

      @@alwayzsmarter There are still a lot of good charities that aren't political. Since they are all good causes I also doubt it would be an issue with any real hockey fans.
      While the money is nice bonus for the player, it's gonna end up going to one of the highest-paid players anyway. 10-20% bump income bump can't match the tension of hungry kids vs cancer.

Truth be told, I miss the old 5 on 5 East vs West battles and used to LOVE seeing guys actually get fired up, trying to win, and show which division was the “best”. Alas, those were also the days when dudes also checked hard, played gritty, and sometimes initiated some scrums and physical battles. Top 6 in Points from the 8 events get the Obstacle Course Event. 1 of those events the Goalies can earn money - One on One and an extra Goalie Event in the GOALIE RACE Tournament Bracket where winner gets money.
    Skater Events - Fastest Skater / One Timers / Passing Challenge / Hardest Shot / Stick Handling / Accuracy Shooting / One-On-One / Breakaway Challenge // Obstacle Course Final

When he slows his intensity down even more this is often what it looks like. I dont think that means he didnt care, maybe he felt some pressure. Kucherov is highly competitive and im not saying you are wrong by stating that he doesnt care enough. Im just not sure the common body language signs are saying so much
