- Pre-facelift C30 90mm

T25 Torx required.

How is the visibility at night time? I would love to get some halos but am concerned if I replace the wiring with the drl’s that I won’t be able to see at night very far
They are not a replacement for your main beams it's a DRL

@LiL-Kelley YT The LEDs give you a message on broken low beams if you swap them. You need to install canbus or have lights which already include them
It's been bothering me since i bought a '10 V50 that it has halos but no way to illuminate them. WTF, Volvo?

No they are plastic, can buy from ebay

Can you tell us which LED bulbs you're running in your headlight projectors? Do these pass MOT?
Im using Night eyes LED's and they did pass an MOT
@@vipphil please link, i can only fit LEDs that have passive cooling. All other LEDs are to long so the cover does not fit. Any error messages buld warning?

It’s the kit size
Removing the projector from a Mk2 V50 is a pig, nowhere near as easy as a C30.
One of the bolts holding the projector in, is beneath a protrusion inside the headlight casing, so you need a screwdriver or ratchet with an elbow joint on the end to undo the bolt. Then it is a pig to manoeuvre the projector out, once all the bolts are removed. No wonder I can't find a guide on here relating to the V50.
Even easier option as explained in the video.. One of the bolts below the projector bolts can be losened to move the projector housing so you can access the third bolt
were you able to figure it out? i have no idea what he did in the video but it’s impossible to get that 3rd bolt out
@@t5kai I just had to push a screw driver in at an angle, and really gently loosen the bolt. You can do it with a little bit of force, but it is awkward as he'll.
I'm guessing they are pre assembled at the factory, and installed from the front of the headlight, before the lens cover is bonded in place.
@@hermanmunster3358 hmm ok thanks. i was able to do that to the passenger side but the driver side is too long and is actually impossible to fully unscrew without hitting the housing lmao. even without using a screwdriver

Volvo did a redesign around 2008-09 so the car have cosmetic changes. Google it

@@rickohorvat2053 you Can fit 80mm but the halo will not be able to fit over the projector, it will need to fit inside the tube where the projector goes, 80mm will work tho
