Have you had problems with the pinion staying on yet can’t find a way to keep it on
Try using lock tite and a hardened steel pinion, I had the same problem when mine was new, it might just need to be broken in

I used to do that with my dogs when they were younger.
One passed away suddenly after battling heartworms about a year ago,
and his sister is still here hopefully for a while longer.
But she is already 12 years old and is having problems with her shoulders and hips.

Extended hubs are going to cause alot more breakages. Thats probably what killed that bellcrank.
Knew this already and this is why I hate extended wheel hubs
Their just as bad is putting wheel spacers on trucks not good at all
Well, he did also put outcast 8s wheels on it making the center point of the wheel in the same location so it shouldnt cause any issues.
not necesarily, in this case the wheels he used are very low offset, so with the hubs it has got the offset just about where the stock ones would be. A major thing he changed that i would say is the culprit the the thicker servo saver spring. it has less giv,e so it puts a lot more strain on the arms and servo.
It was it solid servo saver not the extensions
Class upgrades there Kevin! I've had a nitro Revo for some time now which is totally stock, and it runs perfectly well. I won't be changing things on it at all. It's good to hear you say how well the XMaxx runs in its standard form, shows how reliable they can be. You two had a ball by the looks of things, and that jump over the climbing frame....jeez, well done for using the throttle a bit to lift the nose. 😎
Have this exact motor and esc/ m2c setup and my xmaxx has honestly never been more reliable. I love the truck all over again you’re going to absolutely love it. I’m running 26 pinion 52 spur with trencher tires. FYI, Sky rc makes a $15 dual fan that with a little trimming fits perfectly on top of the motor and in between the brace

Kevin, I love how you can come up with so many different ideas for videos that have to with the X-maxx. Also you should try to fit the electric raminator motor into the world's longest X-maxx!

The worlds longest x-maxx is no more. It's the one with the paddle tyres on it now.
kev should do a video on all 3 raminators when they are ready to go again (since the v3 raminator is broken at the moment)

Awesome vid, i finally got my Xmaxx at Christmas after watching your videos for months and its an absolute beast, i have done the m2c chassis brace and shock o rings also replaced the hinge pins for the set hinge pins and with thos small upgrades its now a tank. I will eventually change the electronics once the stock ones have broken. Cant wait to see more Xmaxx videos 💪

That is some of the hardest abuse I think I've ever seen beyond someone throwing the car off a 40 story building or a cliff or something. Probs helped by very expert drivers but awesome none the less! Love it.
The trees probably take allot of the shock out of the landings though
Ya the driving makes it look good. But these trucks really are this tough.
On tik tok I've seen a dude drive his Maxx off a cliff and it survives somehow 😂

Kevin...have you considered running larger diameter shocks in your rigs? When i was running 1/8th scale truggies i found bigger diameter shocks helped on jumps and overall dampening.

Haven't been out for a xmaxx bash for ages, you boys have inspired me.
I went and did a thing. It should be to me the end of next week. Also ordered RPM bearing hubs and pins along with standard servo adapter and HD servo saver spring.
Of all your videos this has to be my favorite, the jumps in the large field are EPIC!! Need to group bash one of these days!

I've had a larger motor in my X-Maxx for a couple years and it has been almost noting but breaking the drive-train. I am curious to see how yours holds up, best of luck!
100% same motor and max5. But rear diff keeps blowing up
Mine is the same I replaced pinion gears often and replaced rear and front diffs twice
What gearing do you recommend for an xmaxx with the 1650kv motor?

Holy cow, that steering servo is 5.5 amps @ 8.4 V = 46.2 watts. Crazy!
