Much the Miller's Son - sometimes spelt 'Mutch' cos Middle English. I don't know what role he plays in the original legend, cos I don't know the original legend, but he was well enough known to appear in the Beano Summer Special based on Robin Hood in 1989(?). Saracen is pronounced Sah-rah-sen - but with quicker vowels than that would indicate. And I used to drive through Guisborne relatively frequently! I love the Hoodeners (sp?) card! Very cool!
