    Fyi: A Bronze caseback would lead to skin irritation for most people, that's why all Bronze watches I know/own have a different caseback.

    • @kimwjustice
      @kimwjustice Před 3 lety +13

      You're right. Also, I've heard that when a bronze caseback starts to age and patina, it can leave green stains on your skin which is not a pleasant sight. Additionally, as bronze ages, bronze parts can bond to each other, which would make removing a bronze caseback for service almost impossible.

    • @Jan-md4bf
      @Jan-md4bf Před 3 lety +5

      @@kimwjustice what you're referring to is probably the reaction of the copper-containing bronze when in contact with a higher concentration of chlorides (from salt water) BEFORE the dark brown oxidized patina has formed. Anyway, the green skin irritations have never happened to me (and I like Bronze watches). But it also depends on the co-elements in your alloy, but now I'm starting to ramble... 😅

      @@seanengel3647 in the case of Bronze, the then oxidized top layer is actually very corrosion resistant, which made it quite favorable to other materials in the marine sector at that time.

    I have the Oris Pro diver Chronograph. After I left the USMC I spent a few years working in Commercial diving mostly bell bounce/Saturation for NDT/repairs etc. Oris was used by a lot of the guys that trained me. I grew to love tool watches- support ships, bells, habitats tend to be very industrial with hard iron/steel sharp edges do a tough watch even just on board ship is a requirement. Yes, dive computers have the market sewn up but most of us also wore a watch as a back up- when something goes wrong as it sometimes does you want a 'tool' that you recognize and are familiar with when your brain is racing through trouble shooting processes especially when in a case like me my tiny brain isn't functioning properly. I am much happier now working in Silicon Valley tech- much more relaxing.

    Great video Jenni and glad to see such a great brand on your channel. For me, the newly released Aquis 41.5mm will be the perfect Aquis- used to own the 43.5mm and although it wears a but smaller due to the lug design on my 6.75” wrist, was still too big. But I loved the watch enough to seek out and try the 39.5mm which wore way too small for me; most of my collection is 38-40mm.

      She should stick to watches; and the Oris bronze she picked to represent the Id is hardly that - she describes it an historical "throwback" representing their core values, hardly primitive, instinctual, or sexual. Likewise, the Superego doesn't mean technical or logical - it's the control of the Id by society through morality. For its very traditional, conservative look, representing core values, the bronze Oris I think better reflects the Superego. Butt I do like Oris and these three watches, and own an Artelier myself.

    Love the Pro-Pilot, but after this video I'm more attracted to Aquis. Never thought I would like a diver watch 😭😂

    My favorite is the big crown pointer, which I'm lucky to own but a close second is the Aquis.

    Hi Jenni, I enjoyed your Freudian analogy. I'd love to hear your take on Rado. The Captain Cook is quite well covered but I see relatively little about the Golden Horse Automatic and the Diamaster range, not mention True Square. They seem to have so many collections and variations in a slightly awkward price range that I find the brand a little impenetrable. They're intriguing but where do you start?

    I don't like the first one, because of the old fashion design. The ProPilot X is real amazing. I love it to see so many details. The Oris Aquis Date is great too. I would like to have them both. Your videos are nice to watch. Well done!

    The bronze will turn your skin green. That is why all companies use stainless steel on bronze pieces. The bronze blackbay is also stainless, it just has a pvd coating to look like bronze.

    Great video, i think oris has been doing a very good job and for the price a good value. 🤘👍🤙

    All three are nice, my choice would be the Aquis. However I prefer my Breitling 1000m. over the Aquis . Thanks for the video.

    Hi Jenni,
    I liked your psychological introduction
    😂😂😂
    It was really cool, this new presentation of you behind a table;
    The top camera is too far away. We were unable to see the details of the watch;
    This same camera shows you gesturing a lot
    😵😵😵
    We can also see that you are wearing another watch on your wrist ... TUDOR (?)
    In your videos, you could add more subtitles and reference prices for the watches shown
    Congratulations on the channel !!

    Damn, that ORIS Propilot - as much as I like it - made me crave the Zenith Defy skeletonized models even more...

    Hey Jenni, I'd like to get your thoughts on the Oris Diver 65. Do you like it and recommend it? either the bronze crown or the green dial (my fav)

    Great job - 3 very different watches.
    The skeleton (non-titanium) is very tempting.

    I prefer the diver, I just like divers better. A close second would be the Pointer Date 80th Anniversary. Great vid.

    Jenni, great vid as always. One small suggestion though, the over head shot over looking the whole watch feels like its over tilted, it makes feel like I'm looking down trying to see my foot if you will.

      I liked that angle. In general Jenny's video has very clean and revealing scenic and shooting position. Shows all the high sides of the watch
