- Now it’s time to start getting my hands dirty with this SRT-10 truck makeover for my dad! These Belanger Headers made a HUGE difference, and sound amazing. Super smart to let the bolts soak in penetrating oil overnight! Makes all the difference. Also, smart to leave on the plastic coating on for the install. Cerakote is an incredible product. Has the best reviews out there from what I've seen from multiple sources. Sounds awesome! 😮

Headers make a world of difference when I threw mine on the sound alone made me smile for weeks let alone the performance…great job!

With the number of people in your crew, it’s so impressive that you filmed and installed the headers yourself. It’s like everyone had the day off except for you.
A guy who lived across the street from my dad had a single cab Ram SRT-10. I always knew what a cool truck it was, and it was my dream to try and buy it off of him. Sadly he ended up just letting it kinda rot there out front and ended up getting rid of it before I graduated high school. I think your dad will be stoked with the headers!
The ceracote will really help with keeping the heat out of the engine bay, good call there, ive had ceramic coating on my mainfolds for my turbo cars for years now works better than heat wrap and looks 10 fold better too 😀

The car bug bit me when I was 8 years old, My top two were the following. The Dodge Viper, and the Ram SRT10. I didn't know they made that truck in a four door, which is a pleasant surprise. Your dad is a lucky man to have a daughter like you working on his truck. Great job. Keep up the great work!

Love the videos, I just bought my 5th Viper truck and it’s a VCA Edition and it’s been heavily modified with a turbo charger and puts out over 900 horsepower. You don’t see too many videos on Viper trucks and it’s nice to see someone doing a video on these cool trucks. Looking forward to the next video 😊

I appreciate it! I’ve had a lot of help along the way as I’ve grown my channel into competitive drifting and higher level builds, but I try and be as hands on as I can if time and the project allows 🙏 I really wanted to be hands on for this one for my dad.
Love it. I have a 3yr daughter and she loves helping me build and fix things. Loves cars. This makes me imagine her modefing my car in 15yrs time. Im a old dad so Ill be 56yrs then but I think Ill still drive a turbo subaru and a supermoto bike if they still exsist 😂. Girls can do anything guys can do better i allways tell her.

This was an awesome upgrade. Loved the tutorial. That being said.... I'd definitely avoid talking about removing the cats publicly. The EPA seems to be going after influencers doing that. Even though you aren't a shop that they can go after. They can still fine you. You don't need that smoke. Just dance around the subject. All of us will understand the hints. Pete can be the "cat chaser" mascot lol.

I am in Australia and work for one of the largest exhaust shop here and i am a trained cerakote painter. Its worth it in most applications.
That is the absolute best way to put the headers on removing the tires in an inner fender wheels. I have the same belanger headers on mine
The coat on the spark plug covers is a good idea, as well as the plugs looking old, they also look like they been hot 🤷🏻♂️ cool vid, I’ve been watching Adam for ages and this is the first vid of yours I’ve seen, really good 👍

It's too bad Flowmaster didn't make an aluminized exhaust for those. I think drilled rotors would look great on it. You almost gave me a heart attack waving that heat shield around by the front fender, lol. I'm sure it wasn't as close as it looked and I guess you'll be painting it anyway. :) Amazing truck and great work. Such a cool thing to do for your Dad. Everything can be done easily because she actually is organized and has the right tools. Most guys head to garage in chaos trying to figure out where half their tools are them give up trying to find it and use some other tool that’s not meant to do what it does and thus what makes it hard lol

The truck sounds amazing usually the V10 viper motors do not sound good with pipes that usually sound pretty quiet but that one actually sounds amazing there's the first V10 viper truck wiper motor chassis whatever you want to say that actually sounds good so it sounded like a V8 it sounds like a true V10 very good job at picking the headers out your dad's going to love it
I love how the automotive industry is finally finding out about the magic sauce that is Cerakote. It really is incredible.

You truck looks SWEET! I worked as a Dodge/ Chrysler / Jeep tech for 14 yrs. ending in 2014. I loved this year of 1500, never did get to work on an SRT10… Just curious if your 47RE trans has anything done to it or is it stock?

I think the truck is awesome, my two favorite things from dodge combined into one. I have one question. After wiring up the downstream O2 senser up with zip ties, did the truck throw any codes? I deleted cats on mine and i kept all four in pipe with spacer on downstream and I get a slow to respond code. Just seeing if maybe there is something different i can do. Keep up the good work!!!!

what's not to like? A really nice SRT-10, Belanger headers, and a pretty gal to install them! What a lucky guy to have these in his life.
Just a quick tip always start from the headers/exhaust manifolds first and then tighten the rear of the exhaust. Tightening the rest of the exhaust may put tension on the manifolds and causes them not to seat properly even with the bolts/nuts tight

Would recommend copper neverseize on the spark plugs and copper gasket maker on the exhaust gaskets always.

With header or stock manifolds. You break the studs/bolts loose then re tighten them. The idea is that all manifolds warp to some extent and when you loosen a bolt, then next one has more pressure causing it to snap. If you break them free and put them back, they will support the metal from twisting!

I can tell you, Cerakote is far easier than a candy paint or fade. Wont be difficult at all for you, try to get the bake on one though. Holds up a lot better. My goal is to get an old used Kiln and make a new temp control system for it so I can use it as an oven for Cerakote, Ceramic coating and powder coating
My 2004 Ram srt10 regular cab can be next if you got time. It's not running at the moment 😢. Got some wires cut from that heat shield. That keeps burning the single ground wire going to the other 5 wires going to the passenger side.
