    I think the most shocking thing about this video, for me, is the fact that winners receive a plastic surgery prize?! Like WHAT?? This beautiful woman just got massively famous for looking exactly the way she does, and now she's expected to go change it surgically?? The expectations for women are so out of control.

    • @CHloE748
      @CHloE748 Před rokem +26

      Everyone makes a big deal about the worst reality show ever created, The Swan (I think that’s the name) it was a game show type thing where women went through so much plastic surgery they look like completely different people (that doesn’t sound that bad, but if you look it up it’s BAD and most of the women who went on the show had their lives ruined, including husbands leaving them and crap). Now this was a while ago, I think 2000’s and it was canceled after one season, which makes sense. You would think something like that would never happen nowadays, but hearing that one of the prizes for basically being crowned as the most beautiful woman in the US is PLASTIC SURGERY… it’s just absolutely disgusting and shows society hasn’t changed much..

    • @lauralarrabee7870
      @lauralarrabee7870 Před 7 měsíci +5

      The main sponsor is a plastic surgeon and gets a higher profile when sponsoring. What is a conflict of interest is that he’s worked on R’Bonney and is also the Texas state sponsor. R’Bonneys question was leading almost as if it was made for her platform. Miss Montana also said it’s in their contract that the director can place their favorite in the top 16 despite their scores. Miss Montana as an attorney needs to learn to read her contract better

  • @DiMagnolia

      Others clarified this was due to covid, but I also want to add that in my experience with pageantry they strongly advise you to be gracious and even if you hate the winner you congratulate her. It reflects negatively on you to be a poor sport. Most girls in pageantry at this level have had some coaching in etiquette and it's just not a good look to snub the winner. This is a huge, widely broadcasted pageant so the fact they felt so strongly about their dissatisfaction that they didn't even care how it looked, they all clearly had mentally prepared to walk off (and I wouldn't be surprised if they discussed it with each other beforehand if they suspected rigging.) It's a clear message. AND the winner didn't even seem surprised when nobody was staying to congratulate her.

  • @christinaleclerc6080
    @christinaleclerc6080 Před rokem +55

    I was in a pageant many years back within the USA system. I got 1st runner up. After the event the head judge (who had a ton of experience) asked to talk to me privately. He wanted me to know that he felt strongly that I should have won but that he was dealing with rookie judges who essentially didn’t know what they were doing as well as a pageant director who basically rigged the whole thing for the winner due in part to the fact that she had entered so many times but never won. He wasn’t the only person that night who told me I should have won. I think crap like that happens more often than people realize!

    In an interview, the winner said that the spa was also a sponsor of TX pageants. So it sounds like she had previously gone there, as Miss TX, and that is what the footage is from. I do agree, though, that that much “nepotism” can’t really be overlooked. Even if something isn’t rigged, there are still biases at play. And that’s sad, because the girls work so hard.

    I knew R'Bonney in high school. Or rather... had a few encounters with her; met her through a mutual friend at church. At that time she was such kind, personable, outgoing girl. Always had a smile on her face and friendly with other people. Never once did she come across petty or like one with questionable character. I could care less about pagents but once I saw that she won Ms. Universe, I was like NO WAY! I've never known of another R'Bonney Gabriel in my entire life, and it looked like a more grown up version of her from high school, so I knew it had to be her. So now I'm very invested into this story despite my lack of caring for these kinds of things. I think it’s really unfair to discredit Miss Texas for having only been in pageants a couple years. Some people just have an IT factor or natural talent. She was heavily favored and predicted to win from the get go, and her performances more than held up to the hype and expectations around her. Also, many of the other girls in the top 5 were not heavily experienced pageant girls either - both Nebraska and Ohio won their state titles on their first try- and they also had some of the best performances of the night.

I did Miss Canada and the girl who won, it was her 1st pageant. I also know of about 20-30 other titleholders around the world that won after being in pageantry a few years or even on their first try and there are definitely more. Don't you think that the results are predetermined most of the time (without the contestants knowing)? They know who is competing how they look like and what they are doing. It's superficial from start to finish, every word and pose comes from years of practice. It's somehow refreshing that someone won that was not in the beauty contest world for a long time and has some normal reactions left in them. It's a contest primarily focused on how you look, don't tell me the other girls are genuinely happy when someone else wins.

    I don’t know anything about Miss USA but in college I did a few pageants with Miss America and it was similar. The last one I did the winner won all of the awards (6 in total) and her on stage question suited her platform to a T when others were very basic.
    A big reason why I couldn’t continue with pageantry was because this winner was also saying the N word backstage and she was white. It was just something that really bothered me and didn’t sit right with me. That isn’t to say pageantry is bad and I did get a lot of scholarships with that and most of the girls are very sweet and determined but I just know that whole situation was not good. And awarding a girl six awards out of almost 20 girls…something was not right.

    IF THE ORGANISERS BROKE PROTOCOL !! THEN THE CONTESTANTS, CAN FORGET ABOUT PROTOCOL JUST THE SAME !! WALK OFF, THE STAGE AND NOT CONGRATULATE THE WINNER !! IT'S GOT TO BE ABOUT ETHICS AND INTEGRITY, FAIR AND SQUARE !!! THAT IS WHY, YOU HAD ACCOUNTING FIRMS IN THE PAST VERIFYING THE RESULTS !*************** BY THE WAY ! THE WINNER IS VERY BEAUTIFUL, BUT IT'S THE PRINCIPLE AND HOW SHE WON THAT COUNTS AT THE END OF THE DAY !!!

    I’m so used to cheating scandals the main story didn’t even phase me ngl, HOWEVER the worst thing I heard was that plastic surgery is one of the prizes.. that’s shocking to me! Everyone makes a big deal about the worst reality show ever created, The Swan (I think that’s the name) it was a game show type thing where women went through so much plastic surgery they look like completely different people (that doesn’t sound that bad, but if you look it up it’s BAD and most of the women who went on the show had their lives ruined, including husbands leaving them and them going into deep depression from regret and wanting to go back to their natural self).

    • @redd-iveee4400
      @redd-iveee4400 Před rokem +1

      A plastic surgery center sponsors the pageant yes but they do wayy more than plastic surgery it's mostly about skincare and non invasive treatments like lasers etc. now if they happen to want tweaks to things they can do that but miss usa literally has a pageant coming up right after she wins. she doesn't have time to get any invasive surgery heal and be ready for on stage that soon.

  • @daniellaalejandralee3612

    The girls are walking off the stage ….. if you look at how they set stage up…there’s a stairs obviously…from the start girls are having a hard time walking down the stairs…so, after crowning they all excited from backstage because they all wearing evening gown…
    Olivia cupon won miss universe and miss usa …and first time joining… look at her reaction as well…. All in all miss Texas deserve the crown… and thank good miss Georgia shows her true color

    Ms . Texas visited the spa as part of her prize package in the Miss Texas pageant that’s why they had prior footage of her . Nowhere does it claim that she is partaking in her Miss USA prize package at the spa that is all speculative . Of course the plastic surgeon based in Houston Tx is going to support Ms. Texas that is very normal considering he is based in Texas nothing nefarious there . Miss Texas was exceptional and in my humble opinion deserves the win. As a pageant grandma I always tell my granddaughters that first and foremost have fun do your best and to show good sportsmanship for their fellow pageant sisters. If these ladies participating in the Ms. USA pageant are going to be displaying bitter animosity against the pageant then they are also directly or indirectly affecting the winner in this case Ms. Texas regardless and that’s a very ugly look on them.

    i think every representative gave their all. but even if you gave your all, sometimes you can fall short! and thats why there is only one winner. This year is for Miss Texas and we cannot change it all, lets admit the fact that she shined that night especially her swimsuit competition round not to mention her jaw line says “Im your new Miss USA!” and that was Miss South Carolina, Miss Montana, Miss Alabama and more doesnt have..they didnt shine that night, they didnt even made it to the top 16 so something is also wrong if they are claiming they gave their all! they slack off and now what they are doing is quacking all over the social media!

    If you’re good, you’re good. I was more prepared and trained harder.
    All the girls complaining just got out performed.
    It is the organization fault for clearly favoring her. But hey they saw a star and it shined so bright they couldn’t hide it.

    After watching the Miss USA 2022, i think Texas is the strongest candidate and the most deserving. She also said in one of her interviews in Texas television that she competed for 3 years until she won.. Imo you dont need to join many times to win. Some women won on their first attempt. No matter how you think about it, there are always bitter contentants in every pageants whether it is rigged or not. Scenario like this is how you can tell the difference between the girls and women. Their true color would show up.

    Miss Texas Performance was exceptional and she was well prepared as you can see, Even in Miss Universe Sponsors will pick only certain candidates to collaborate with them hoping that the candidate they are eyeing for will have a better chance of winning. Sometimes a lady stands out among others don't blame her . Even Las Vegas bookers bet on probability of a contestant from winning. why not asked the Judges on that night to find out if they really fixed the winner. Loosers will hate,

    here’s the problem: those who opened their mouth (Miss Montana, callmejaz, you Kiki and the rest of the Miss USA contestants who thought the competition was rigged without hearing or knowing first from Miss Texas and from the organization their side..) y’ll should have handled these allegations better. You rely right away with, “I heard this and that, blah, blah.. “ “Miss blah blah posted this blah blah..” clearly this whole video is to show us how “obviously rigged” to you doubters the competition was. This is a bias post. For me, I feel that sometimes, what you think is the normal thing is something that should be expected or seen. But maybe.. maybe, during the last Miss USA competition that’s not the case. Ms. Texas, out of the blue and after soo many years, showed up with a shinier and undeniable aura, showed up bringing that queenly energy and vibe already that what sponsors and the organization are looking for. That charisma, that overall package. Unfortunately, the Miss USA contestants who thought they performed better or felt like they were robbed coz they are also highly qualified contestants and did their best.. well ladies, it’s already given you all are qualified and beautiful but the reality is that it’s a competition of beauty, brain and that “it” factor. Only very few would have that “it” factor. Miss Texas has that factor the moment she shows up. So no wonder why the organization and sponsors prefer her, OK? And now she’s our new MISS UNIVERSE 2022, are you all still gonna say the pageant was rigged especially now the Miss Universe has changed and Miss USA competed with highly qualified and more gorgeous women from around the world and she outperformed them?! Yes thank you for your bias opinions now y’ll should do a better homework next time before accusing. Miss USA is slapping your faces with her victory proving she has that true Queen energy and deserving of every title she fairly worked hard for. I am not subscribing to a judgmental youtuber. 😌
