Right at the beginning of this, the rabbi gave me insights about "religious" people who are judgmental, or push their religions on others, or worse, find scapegoats & push violence or hate on scapegoats. It is that these religious people are completely disconnected from G-d (even though they'd disagree) because lack of compassion & hate is the foundation of their beliefs.

I too know them , I see the actions they push others to take, I hear how they slyly justify the sorrow and injustices they cause other people .
All under the guise of "I am religious (no matter what religion), I am the one who understands what the holy words meant, and I speak in the name of God"...

There are people who are truly religious and there are those who are "religious".
The former use the scriptures to do good in the world, to connect people, etc.
The second type on the other hand, uses the same scriptures to separate people, to sow pain, guilt and destruction, all in order to gain power, control.
The biggest problem today is that the second type (the destructive one) knows how to disguise itself as if it is the first type: "A wolf in sheep's clothing".
@@user-jn6jm4bb6f among convictions of the true ppl of faith (I use this expression to distinguish between “religious” and not) who use their faith for good in the world includes “spreading the word of the Lord” (as specifically commanded by the scripture) but as long as they don’t “impose” their views on one not ready/prepared I think we agree that it does not constitute “abuse of power”. However I share ur position that there are more visible examples of “religious” ppl who truly abuse the reputation of believer’s moral code for evil plots

This is why i think it's important to differentiate between God and creation. While it is true that the universe is God, it is not just an arbitrary phenomena which appears by itself. It is created by God just as we would create the light bulb or the television screen. While they use resources appertaining to them, it is still a composition which was invented.

Funny thing about fasting… during the first half of my life of which I spent significant time working in restaurants and grazing therein , I was overweight, and fasting! ! ? I wondered what that meant. To me it meant something I broke when I woke up ( every morning)… now I usually wait twelve hours after I wake up. Its more habit than devotion, but I sure will take credit for it. Mm! I’m hungry…everyday! This habit does keep me humble, and aware of what I receive, and grateful
In the beginning the framework for different types of reality emerged from the "end of times" when all those realities already existed to say so.
When you say we have outgrown attachments does that mean even to this day we are meant to go through things to strengthen us and teach us how to let go? And is that what persecution is?
