If they take care of those and are responsible Iâll get them piercings just as long as theyâre old enough to take care of them by themselves. Obviously one set of piercings at a time so they can heal properly. They will have the responsibility to clean their piercings and rotate them and I wonât remind them. If they get an infection, Iâll use it was a learning opportunity of self care and routine. This is actually how I convinced my parents to get my piercings. I got them when I was 14 and love them, never had an infection. (My dad and step mom were iffy on me getting piercings because when I was a baby my bio mom got them done like 10 times and didnât take care of them. I got severe ear affections and scarring to the point my pediatrician had to tell her to STOP getting them done and threatened to call CPS. They didnât want me to stop taking care of them and cause more scarring//
