I feel like I squeezed right out of my skinny jeans as a kid and teen into dresses and skirts. Ive only very recently discoverd that pants dont have to be like a tight second layer of skin. Who knew!

I'm gen Z and I honestly still like skinny jeans and boho tops. Boho tops are just cute and skinny jeans work better with certain clothing pieces, shoes and silhouettes. Plus they make my legs look great. There's nothing wrong with wearing outdated items as long as you like them and I think it's finally time we embrace it.
Most of my pants are skinny jeans bc I wasn’t about to throw them out when the world decided they weren’t cool anymore. And my friends say they flatter me, so I’m not in a rush to get rid of them. I like how you styled them! Offsetting the slimness of the pants with the oversized coat and big collar of the shirt and chunky shoes was a good play with proportions. Your style is so inspiring!!
My take on galaxy print is you lean more into what it is you are wearing and focus less on the print. Take your galaxy print vans shoes for example. Vans are skater shoes, so I would lean into the skater style and maybe wear chinos and a silly graphic y shirt with a plaid button up shirt and just make sure it doesn’t clash with the colors of the galaxy print. If I had a galaxy print hoodie, I might juxtapose the casualness of the hoodie with a fancy skirt or dress slacks.

I've been wearing my last infinity scarf as a balaclava and it's so cozy and warm. Also, depending on the scarf, it is possible to unstitch the stitched ends of an infinity scarf and turn it into a regular scarf. I've done that to one I own.
These outfits are amazing! I was stunned by the first outfit because holy moly I am not usually a fan of sporty-feminine looks but you sold me on that one. You always convince me someone can look good in it, even if it’s not me lol

I've never been a trend-tracking person, but I especially never understood why skinny jeans were suddenly hated. Like, it wasn't just "skinny jeans aren't trendy anymore", it was "gen Z HATES skinny jeans". They don't have an overtly weird look to them (at least imo), the main thing they have going against them is that tight things can be uncomfortable but there's never been a time where everything trendy was also comfortable, and I haven't heard anyone cite that as the reason. Any idea why this might have happened? What was it that made you stop wearing them? (Directed at whoever happens to see this, I'm curious for multiple perspectives)
I'm Gen Z (19) and I never saw the hating on skinny jeans trend anywhere but on tik tok. I still wear them all the time, but my bell bottoms are definitely my favorite. People in my high school still wore them all the time, and people still do in my college as well
Agree completely…. As fast fashion has become so prevalent in our throw away society…. Designers ( who have the attention of a bot fly) are looking for that ‘it’ thing that makes us as consumers NEED it. How many denim ideas are there? They make old trends new again, forcing people to once again go out and purchase the new IT look( much like APPLE and the ever changing charging cords) to increase profits. Hang on to those skinnies ladies, as they will definitely be back at the top again in a few years …. Or season. Following advice such as this great video is fantastic for your wallet, a MUST for our planet as well as keeping us on ‘trend’ in a way that just makes sense😉😉😉Here’s to everyone who wears what they love and does so with style! I like the look of skinny jeans but I find them very uncomfortable to wear but at the end of the day people should wear what they want

Another good one! My favorite was the 2nd with the cropped fuzzy jacket; the colors were good and it was such a vibe. You didn't sell me on the last, but it was more the silhouette than the print since shoes that low cut just don't look right without a sock anymore. I've a fuzzy tiger print infinity scarf I've had since middle school that doesn't get worn enough I'll definitely try wearing as a balaclava though!

Still don't get what's wrong or outdated about an infinity scarf. I'm like gurl, it's a scarf. You don't even notice the shape when it's tucked around your neck to avoid freezing, you basically only see the print. If it keeps you warm that's all it has to do.

I think the best way to wear skinny jeans is with something oversized or big on top, like a sweater. My aunt gifted me a lot of skinny jeans and at the first I truly hated (the only reason why I weared them was because my mom told me, and because I said to me I was dressing as Harry Styles and One Direction in 2013) But now I kinda into it.
I still have some galaxy print sneakers, too, and now I want to lean into the space vibes because space is still really cool, and wear them with my black celestial print skirt and NASA t-shirt.

Oh yes, a sporty feminine look~! I love when you go very creative like in this one, it's always fun to see. And you rocked those jeans! I remember hating on skinny jeans when they got popular the last time. My childhood favourite jeans were bootcut ones and the change was too drastic, they looked so ugly in my opinion. Fast forward to mid-2010s and high rise skinny jeans + cropped tops were my go to look :DD These days I just don't wear jeans at all, haven't found a pair that wouldn't feel extremely uncomfortable... Anyway, a great video once again~!^^

I like what you did with the galaxy shoes. The one thing that really came to mind while you were wearing them was that I feel like if they had black laces it would really help them be more cohesive with the adult polished look you had going on. Lowkey with black laces they could be pretty wearable in a modern styled look. :)
