  • We miss John Cena. Ever since John Cena left WWE for Hollywood, it hasn't felt the same. I'm not the only one missing him.
John Cena has become an iconic figure in the wrestling business. The children adored him, the ladies wanted him and everyone wanted to be him. Without him, WWE doesn’t feel the same. I actually made a video about this a couple years ago, but I realized I’m not the only one who misses him.

The whole walking promotion (hustle loyalty respect; hat , t shirt, wristbands, towels ) is way too much for me. Sometimes beating the up and coming talent when the booking or Vince called for it to happen never made any sense to me in the long run.
I can truly say Cena is the only part timer that I throughly enjoy (don’t know if Edge counts). Him being a part timer is definitely a breath of fresh air especially whenever he comes back you know you are in for a treat but I don’t want to see him or the roster all the time anymore.

For me he transcends what it means to be a wwe superstar, I understand some wrestler’s need to change their character but John cena was a different breed. He's amazing out of the ring...but who cares about that from a viewer's perspective? I never understood that sentiment. We don't need a new colored ribbon (or cena shirt) for every cause and to remind us how shitty life is. Believe me, people who work for a living know. We go to watch things like wrestling to escape from that crap briefly, not to go further into a depressing state of mind.

when he won the record tying title, there were those booing him/chanting "cena sucks" during the match, but when the match was over, basically all fans immediately started clapping and cheering for him. to me, that was the ultimate sign that most fans truly respected him deep down.
no matter what situation, theyd boo him anyway, but in that moment they knew it was time to show genuine respect and not mess around cuz thats what hed earned and deserved. and u could tell by johns face/reaction that he really appreciated that from the fans. absolutely loved that moment.

    I remember,
growing up I had no access to television, that means no connection to wrestling.
I just knew about John Cena as a person who carried the banner of "HLR" and "Never Give Up".
My Dad worked elsewhere and was far from home and he sometimes used to watch wrestling, whenever we used to talk, me a silly 9 yr old used to ask him about what happened to John Cena.
I miss those memories, truly he became someone I always used to look up to, in the time of my development as a person he taught me honesty and never give up in any situation just as he never gave up.
    Thank you, my childhood hero.

I’ll give my two cents to this. The match that got me into watching wrestling in the first place was John Cena vs Seth Rollins for both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the United States Championship at SummerSlam 2015. I bought all the 2015 Pay Per View DVDs and most of them had Cena on them. Every time he was on the TV, I was glued to it. I was in kindergarten in like 2011 (that’s how young I am) and I couldn’t go a day without hearing about John Cena. The only other three wrestlers I’ve heard about by that point were The Undertaker, The Rock, and Triple H. There was a kid in my class that wanted to be a wrestler when he grows up, and his attire was heavily influenced by John Cena. After 2015 Hell in a Cell, he stopped showing up on a weekly basis due to injury. A moment that I don’t hear talking about in WrestleMania 32 was when Cena came out and cleared the Wyatt Family with The Rock. This was special to me because WWE in 2010-2016 were basically cartoon characters to me. Gimmicks were still important in my opinion. The Cena-Styles matches, the Cena-Reigns match, Cena-Nakamura, Cena-Triple H, Cena-Orton, Cena-Wyatt were huge matches during my time watching wrestling. When he comes back on Raw, or if he wins his 17th world title, or if he wins the Intercontinental Championship, it’s going to be the biggest pop in wrestling since CM Punk returning. I look forward to the 27th.

Moved to a different state got cable and was excited to watch smackdown only to find out we didn’t have the channel that aired smackdown only raw but I didn’t care for it. Then when the 2005 draft happened and I heard John cenas theme song play I became the happiest kid. What was funny though was that out of my whole friend group I stayed a cena fan. Still to this day I’m a cena fan and anytime his music plays I stop what I’m doing run to the tv like some excited kid and just get the biggest smile on my face. Doesn’t matter what anyone says about Roman being the next big thing because imo he is far behind cena and personally wwe should work on having a different top guy then Roman. John Cena in my mind is the greatest WWE superstar in history. John Cena is the only guy I know that can get booed and cheered but still puts on performance after performance and still show up with the same charismatic energy and give children smiling faces, as well as some adults who've yet to see him after a while. The day John Cena wins that 17x world champion is the day men and women cry, children would probably be jumping and screaming, but it'll be the adults who'll have the most emotion, the adults that grew up with John Cena. If/When John Cena wins that historic 17x world championship, the internet will be broken, Cena merch will skyrocket due to the historic moment, and most memorable of all, Cena will go down in history as the WWE superstar with the most WWE title reigns in history, beating the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair.
