15 years have passed since the officers of Blackpool's Constabulary knocked on Axle Redrix's door and delivered the news that shattered the world he once thrived in. Now the once proud and successful scholar and sorcerer was reduced to drowning his grief and guilt in ale. But his years of misery are about to change...for the better, or for the worse, has yet to be discovered; when he meets some unusual strangers that turn his night into one he would never forget.
