- Recycle a coke bottle to make a self feeding cat food dispenser. DIY in less than 5mins. ***This was just a test run for fun so don't get mad people and I know cats and I don't feed this to kittens ^^;

I am making a bunch of these now for my cats! Making the rubber band a little looser keeps the kibble from ejecting so hilariously! This is easier than I imagined and I used the chopstick to attache to a shelf by stretching a rubber band on each side and around the shelf leg. This will keep my greedy cats from gorging so easily on kibble since they don't usually get kibble and I can set them up when I'm leaving overnight or gave a pet sitter. Thanks for the simple video and cute kittens at the end!

When you tapped the ball, the food flew out all over the place. I would think that that would attract ants and even rodents. It would be a bit more protected if you added a wide, say, plastic backing screen to funnel the food in to the dish. Then, the cats probably would take care of any nuggets that flew towards the front. This has real potential.

Ok, so this threw food everywhere but the bowl, but as a starting point for a reward/puzzle feeder it's a good idea.
Cats are smart - and hungry cats are great problem solvers. Ferals/abandoned ones even more so.

This is just making a mess.
Get a cereal dispenser, attach a right angle plastic pipe to the opening. Boom, all you have to do is turn a knob every once in a while.
You can make it even more simple, too: attach a small servo to the dispenser knob and program it to turn every 6 to 8 hours.
Then the cat doesn't even have to figure out how to use it, it just works and is clean.
The point is the cat do an effort to get the food, cats get better mood overall if they make something physical to get their food. Your suggestion it´s not bad thought if you want only serve food.
Also the kittens are not interested in solid food yet, anyone that get a mom cat that got kittens know that. :)

thanks very much , I accidentally cut the tops off three fingers while I was doing this, and have them packed in the freezer, so I am just wondering, do you know of a good surgeon who may be able to reattach them for me, also, I can't use my hand, so my cat starved to death, do you know where I could get a new one to replace him, he was a south Siberian blue eyed, stripped turtouishell long hair !!

reasons!! ONE-The food went everywhere and the cats cannot retrieve the food on their own,
so u might as well just pour food into their bowls the old fashioned way! TWO: You have TINY Newborn kittens there who are UNABLE to eat HARD FOOD for at least another 2-3 months! PLZ TELL ME U were giving them kitten milk and canned food mixed with water???? Those kittens are UNABLE to eat that food!! My heart BROKE when I saw this video!! NOT well thought out at all!! Did those kittens and that cat survive??? How old are they now??
He said the big one ate all the little ones, and then, after there weren’t any little ones left for the big one to eat, it died. It made me sad to hear that, but you know what they say, stupidity killed the cat.
PS. The saying about cats having 9 lives doesn’t seem to be true, at all. After doing several experiments, they apparently only have 1. Just wanted to let you know that so you didn’t fall for that nonsense like I did. It’s such a shame. You can’t trust anyone nowadays.
