He literally debunked his own point in another video as saying that Luigi was in love with Peach, they got married and Mario then moved on with Daisy.
So MatPat not only made a horrible point but debunked his own point in a seperate video!

The "Link is dead" theory is also absolutely horrible. Majora's Mask is about people who are faced with certain doom, so of course death is a major theme in it.

My least favorites are "Mario is mental", "Pyro's gender" and "Fnaf was all just a dream", hell he disproved his own theory on the video after it and he STILL thinks Dream Theory is the way to go when he's so blatantly wrong!
I used to LOVE Game Theory until he blew up with his FNAF videos. After that, GT Live came out and all his videos became pointless live streams and his theory's became weak and boring.

I disliked in the beginning of the video but then I realized these game theory episodes really do make no type of sense. Needless to say my dislike went away.

I originally liked him because of his “Science of *insert random video game move here*” and his 5 Nights at Freddy’s theories. But then I found the video “CZcamsrs react to Racist Mario,” MatPat was in that video, he said he was a psychopath, and a lot of his fans said that he was right. That right there made me lose all interest in Game Theory forever.

I never really get mad at MatPat's videos of theories because to be honest, I don't take them seriously. I know it's only entertainment and even if he does his research and shows his evidence and even if he believes he's 100% right, I know that in the end he only does it to entertain people, to give them something to chew on, and earn an honest buck while doing it. I don't agree with his theories most of the time but I think they are kind of amusing and, when all's said and done, pretty harmless. I am really surprised not to see his "Link is dead" theory here, as I know a lot of people hate it.

@@Dafawfulizer About the Donkey Kong Jr. Story, if we are to accept that Baby DK is Modern DK and not Cranky, then that could also be the same DK who appeared in Game Boy Donkey Kong, which includes Donkey Kong Jr. In the narrative. Mario could be defending himself in having DK locked up after that wild goose chase. Also, I’d like to Imagine Cranky is a Zoo Gorilla and DK is a Circus Ape, as Zoo Gorillas would be less active in doing fitness, but a Circus Ape could be very active because it’s doing a lot of things to work off the weight; and the same logic could apply to their animations: Arcade DK is jerky and storyboarded, but Game Boy DK has extra frames of animation.

How can some people get so worked up about Game Theory. Even I believe some, if not most theories are complete and utter bullshit, but it's still entertaining to see the ideas some people might come up with.

The Mario is Mental theory is stupid. I'm sick of people saying that Mario is a jerk. You are right. It's not Mario's fault that wigglers and cheep cheeps try to kill him. Even if Mario was mean to his brother (which he isn't) it's not like he killed Luigi. This happens irl too. A lot of brothers and sisters get in fights, can be competitive and are nice to each other. But yeah, most of this stuff is blamed on the player. Good video.

Usually MatPat makes pretty weird theories.Such as his theory of "What is Yoshi?" or his Kirby theory. I have the same feeling about his other channels, (Movie theory, Food theory) In his movie theorists channel he made a video about Rubble from Paw Patrol being a replacement pup. Like, that just ruins the show for fans. Also from the Paw Patrol video he made, he said this: "The old Rubble passed away, If you look at his truck it has scratches as it has already been used. Same with Rubble's hat." He also said this: "When you look at the episode of Ryder telling Rubble how he got the job, You can see on one scene that Rubble has a Pup Charm on the screen, Ryder also had a colour yellow on is Pup Pad. How would Ryder already have it?" MatPat's basically ruining everyones favorite games, shows, and more. I think he should stop. Who agrees?

First off, he said that no organic material can pass through the machine, if so, than how did San's bones come through? Aren't bones organic material? Also, when he said that Papyrus could be one a Starman, than how come "Ness" Got so attached to this one monster? What makes this one so different from the others? And why did "Ness" Change his name to Sans? And how come Sans doesn't use the PK abilities or anything similar to them? Sure, he teleports and does other magical abilities, but what about Pk fire, Pk lightning, or any other attacks even similar to them? And how come Papyrus doesn't know what the sun is? If he is Starman from Earthbound, wouldn't he already know what the sun is? And if Sans and Papyrus are different SPECIES, than how come they say their brothers? And why is Sans so lazy? Ness is fit to fight any danger and sans is too lazy to pick up his socks, also, when did Ness start speaking? He was a silent protagonist, right? And when he's explaining that there is a desert/beach near the castle and he shows the map of Earthbound to compare, in Earthbound, the city and castle are very far apart, and in Undertale, they're right next to each other! And Toby himself said that Undertale has references and is loosely based on Earthbound, I'm pretty sure he didn't say that they take place in the universe of Earthbound or the Halloween hack. And how come Sans doesn't have a human soul? And why does he have a monster soul? I'm pretty sure that humans can't have monster souls, and if Sans is bleeding because he was Ness and he went through the machine thing, how come he has blood? Isn't blood also an organic material? And how come Ness can survive with just his skeleton? And how come Sans has a flashing blue eye when using his powers? Ness never had a blue eye activate when using magic, not in Earthbound or any of the Smash bros. games, and when did Ness become a super lazy and pun loving dude? Not once in any of the games he was featured in did he have a line of dialog or even one of the character's reacting to him loving puns. And if Ness became a skeleton, how come he has bone moves? And why does Sans have only one H.P and one defence and attack? To defeat Gigas, Ness must've had WAY more than one H.P, attack and defense. And how come Sans is aware of the time lines? And Sans is literally confirmed to be a monster. And when have we ever seen Ness eat food or even drink straight up ketchup? And I'm pretty sure Ness isn't a prankster type. And if the Starman is the only person Ness has and that's why he feels a strong, brotherly connection to it, why didn't any of Ness's friends join him instead of a random monster? And the symbol in the Starman is a part of it's body, and the symbol on Papyrus is part of his clothing. And Papyrus and the Starman have TOTALLY different body shapes, so it's literally impossible that Papyrus and that monster could be the same person. And Papyrus had a good reason to fight Frisk, in order to join the royal guard and free all monsters. The Starmen in Earthbound just jump out at you and attack you for no reason. And Papyrus wouldn't do that. Also, the photo album says that it's picture of SANS with a bunch of smiling people, not Ness. And Sans looks like an adult. In the game, it says that he pays the bills for Sans and Papyrus's house, and he has the build of a grown, fat man. Not a skinny little kid who probably doesn't know what bills are, also, Papyrus is found saying words like "people" or "person" When talking about a monster/monsters. Also, the phase distorter looks smaller and rounder than the machine in Sans's shed. And how come the beach called Summers had the ocean farther from the ledge than in Undertale? And no, high tides isn't a good explanation. And just because Toby worked on an Undertale hack before doesn't mean Undertale is connected to it. And why did Ness go through the phase distorter without the robot body knowing that he could die? And how come the three other kids were saved in the hack, but Ness wasn't saved there? I HAVE TENS OF REASONS THAT DISPROVE THIS THEORY, SO WHY DO PEOPLE THINK IT'S REAL? AND WHY DO PEOPLE TREAT IT AS FACT BEFORE ASKING TOBY OR EVEN GLANCING AT HIM? IT IS SUCH A BAD THEORY! Still like Game Theory though, even though I really dislike some of the episodes.

You're allowed to have your own opinions and all of that, not arguing with any of that. But your presentation and arguments could really use a lot of work. You don't really sum up why each video is bad very well or conclude the segments, and your stuttering is horrendous. You're allowed to record multiple takes for a reason! Some of the segments seem rushed or really drawn out, and a script would really help that out. A couple of the arguments are actually good points against his videos, but they're not really expanded upon.
Something that's harder to criticize in a nice way is that you come off as an extremely arrogant asshole. I honestly don't think you're trying to, but you don't have the right to call out someone for making a video solely to get views when this video itself is complete clickbait. There's a reason Nintendo fans still like Game Theory even when he's calling Mario a psychopath, so your mass of dislikes from Game Theory fans isn't excusable to them being butthurt. It's because you presented this video in a whiny, condescending manner rather than respectfully disproving his theories.
I don't think you're terrible at making videos at all, and I intended for all of this to be constructive criticism, so please don't take it the wrong way.
William Seamon I'm going to second this critique. And, like the OP, I'm not coming from any sort of place of malice. I think the video could have been a lot stronger.
Since you're not on camera you have the advantage of being able to edit your audio without having to worry about the video matching up or being distracting from the cuts. You can use Audacity (If you don't already), a free sound editing software, to cut out unintended pauses and stutters. It's okay to have a few in there but it tends to be fairly easy to eliminate a majority of the stuttering and pauses.
It would also make your videos shorter which tends to be more inviting to watch (To a point.)
Some people don't like to use a script for their videos because they want them to be more organic but, unless it's a reaction or vlog type video, they still tend to at least have some bullet points in front of them to keep themselves on track.

William Seamon Took the words right out of my mouth, I'm a fan of MatPat, so I was looking for something that could truly refute some of his theories with evidence and calculations of its own, but that wasn't the case.

You know I love how the whole "Mario is Mental" bit is so completely contradicted by his timeline video on the Mario series, which, let's face it... is a lot better than 99% of the timelines out there, including yours.

This is a bad reaction - normally because this argument is used to defend popular people and why their videos are basically not able to be criticized. im not going to go any further than this because it's 1 am and im tired

I myself am a fan of matpat, but I have no trouble admitting that some of his videos really aren't great.

This is the first video I've watched from you after looking for GT hate videos (goddamn, the Undertale saga is bad). Keep going; your editing and line reads definitely needs practice, but you at least have potential. There's enough confidence, charisma, and effort put into the production value to make the tripping over lines barable. And so many up and comings just don't even have that, so this is refreshing.

Alright, I'd like to give you some constructive criticism on this
1. Don't record your audio in one take
2. Slow down when you talk. It sounds too rushed
3. Have a script of some kind. If you already do, try to rehearse it a bit before you record or, referring to my first point, don't do it in one take

I agree with you on the Mario is Mental theory. In fact, MatPat basically debunks himself on this theory with the Mario timeline theory.
I was going to say, about Mario 'killing the toads that were turned into bricks', that even if he was killing them he didn't know that they were turned into bricks in the first place, so he didn't even know he was harming anyone.

Just going to point this out. People had posted FNAF theories such as Phone Guy being the killer, and the Marionette being the first victim WEEKS before Game Theory has said that. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!
In one of his later videos, MatPat says that the Donkey Kong Mario is an ancestor. WHAT A WAY TO BE INCONSISTENT!

the problem is not the content of MatPat's videos, but rather his fans, there are just some people who accept his videos as fact, when they are not. BTW, he is going to do a special video where we get to see if the big companies who's games he did theories on prove or debunk them. So, he isn't always worng, a major one was Scott Cawthon, creator of Five Nights at Freddy's, confirmed most of his FNaF 2 Theory which Scott mentioned in his comment on Steam about the cononisty of the games and the book.

The only problem I have with the number 1 entry, is that MatPat totes it around like it's his golden boy, his best video ever, when he himself has debunked a huge part of that theory in two separate videos. He claims Mario is a womanizer, but he only mentions three women, Pauline, Peach, and Daisy. In later videos, he makes the claim that Pauline is his mother, and Peach end up with Luigi and having a child with Luigi, not Mario. so he's in a steady relationship with Daisy, and he likes to hang out with his mother and Sister-in-law. Where's the evidence now?

Not sure if you're going to reply to this or not, but there is one thing I want to say.
The fact that you try to disprove his Rosalina Unmasked video by saying Peach is alive when Rosalina's mother is dead means that you didn't understand the temporal mechanics invoked by the video. He is saying that Rosalina is the daughter of *a previous universe's* Peach. That the Mario universe is like a heartbeat, and every time it restarts things end up similar but not identical to the way they were before. That she was able to survive the end of the universe thanks to the Lumas - exactly how Mario himself survived the end of Galaxy 1.
That said, you also bring up the point that the trees are not the same species, so couldn't be the same tree. Which also could be used as good proof that the theory is false - up until you realize that since the universe has died at least twice since the tree in the picture book (once between Rosalina meeting the Lumas and the start of Galaxy 1, and once at the end of Galaxy 1), the tree wouldn't even be there anymore - and even if it was, the body beneath it wouldn't be there.
Now, do I think that MatPat is the holy grail of game theorists? No, I feel that honor goes to Gnoggin/Lockstin. There's many a Game Theory that I think falls short of the mark - I myself have come up with a few holes in his recent "Mario at the real-world Olympics" theory. But this particular theory is one that I want to not see attacked by someone who doesn't understand the temporal mechanics involved. If someone can disprove it and understands the temporal mechanics, I'm all for that.
(When Gnoggin made a call recently for people to send him theories that they want analyzed, I sent him that one. I actually want someone to analyze it, just to shut up the people who merely dislike it because it supposedly breaks the canon OTP.)
"Peach and Rosalina were orginally going to be related" that means they aren't, theory debunked.
Ok there are many things wrong with this so let me explain some examples. Even if the universe was reset when Rosalina's mother died, that still does not mean that Peach is her mother, because in the book it's stated that she lives in a HOUSE BY THE HILL! And before you say "Some people call the castle a house" Nintendo gets very spastic about the details in their stories, and Rosalina and her book never stated that the Mushroom castle is her home. So the whole thing about the "restart of the universe just to see her mother again" is just wrong.
The same applies to the tree, and even if your theory was true and the universe was reset for that reason wouldn't the tree be the same one in the book and at the same place (also the tree Matpat pointed at was at a different location)? I mean that's what the word *RESET* means, everything that existed before the resetting has to be the same.
Also when in Matpat's video did he say anything about Rosalina going to a different universe?... NOWHERE! So where did that statement even come from?
Even if you try to prove what I said was wrong, like what the guy said above me, there's still one point that destroys this whole theory:
"Rosalina was originally intended to be related to Princess Peach". The key word being "ORIGINALLY"! Meaning yeah we wanted it this way but changed the idea, also meaning THEY ARE *NOT* RELATED!

She probably came to the Themepark opening in Mario vs DK Couse her SON invited HER!!! And about DK taking away Pauline. He probably THINKS that she is MARIOS girlfriend. I'm a big fan of Game Theory. And god damn did I enjoy this. With his theories, he often contradicts himself, like with the Mario theories where Mario is both a socio path and a member of the soviet union. But number 4... If his gloves on his flame retardant suit can't possibly show his finger length, then by right shouldn't his fingers be flapping about like mad when he runs? Also the rest of his suit doesn't flap about in any videos so it must be tight. And it would make more sense if it was custom made. He would be a lot faster and better at combat. Also, if they're all killing each other for fun then their's a very high chance that everyone is a little bit unhinged.
