fiesta runs on a duratec motor with a cambelt. rocam is a rollerbearing camshaft as the name implies and runs on a camchain. Yes most of the non-OEM parts are no longer manufactured meaning you have to be careful when purchasing after market parts. epecially the ECT Switch as their ratings are totally incorrected on kilo ohms

Thanks for this Jaco. I have an Ikon, 1.3 Rocam, that has the same symptoms as you describe, but only when hot. I'll give this a go.
One thing to be careful of when you remove battery terminals. Make sure you've got the restart code for any radio you might have fitted.
You are 100%correct. Luckily I had an aftermarket radio in this one, so it wasn't an issue.

Coil pack and plugs is easy to do yourself. Just make sure you don't swop leads.

PCV hose. Positive Crankcase ventilator valve.

are bosch parts like coil and wires are good?i bought motorcraft sparkplugs i dont like ngk but need to fix the 4rd cyl misfiring issue.
Yes you should be ok with BOSCH aftermarket coil and ignition leads.

Yes. The Fuel pump sits inside the tank.

Probably the fuel pump that is shot. Or maybe rats chowed on the wiring?
I'm also not a mechanic. We learn by doing. Keep it up.

@@JacoBadenhorst Ek vermoed nou dit is n harnas probleem, hy reset sy speedo se afstand leesing sodra jy haar aansluit, iewers short sy uit.
