If you love big jetliners, then you'll enjoy this video, shot (mostly) from Paine Field (KPAE), where Boeing's 747-8, 767, 777, and 787 Dreamliner are assembled. From about 15:00-17:30 are shots from Boeing Field (KBFI) in Seattle. This is a collection of takeoffs and landings I've captured while waiting for various WWII aircraft to make an appearance.
To help answer some questions... the Japan Airlines 787 has the Ram Air Turbine extended because it is on a test flight. Boeing builds the 747-8, 767, 777, and 787 here, and they need to test them several times before delivery.
Also, the puff of smoke coming from the wheels when they begin to retract is brake dust. Also because the planes are brand new.
Enjoy! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Thank you for your support! I feel bad for leaving all my airliner fans in the dust all summer long. I enjoy watching them takeoff and land during the stormy fall/winter months so I hope to make it out more frequently now.
Funny because planes are usually made mostly of light metals.
The sight of brand new commercial aircraft with pristine liveries can be downright.... SEXY!
I thought I was the only one who is so keen to notice the movement of the elevators at rotation and landing. Greatest videos I must say.
Shure! for too much, this is the Very Best of Plane Spotter Videos in CZcams.
The takes, The deflection of the wings at take offs. The movement of the elevators at Rotation/Landig. And for better, with the exception of the take off of one plane with an escort, -"peccatta minuta"- EVERYTHING ON FOCUS!!
Magnificent Job! Thank You flight2flyphoto.
Brilliant! So shiny new birds....
Listen to the engines powering up for roll and take off....awesome
I'm glad you like it! Thank you!
The landings were great!......On the takeoffs I kept wanting to shout 'zoom out', 'zoom out'
i LOVE TO HEAR THE ENGINES SPOOL UP BEFORE TAKEOFF!!
777-300ER is just beautiful!
That Dreamliner is so gorgeous!!
Fantastic filming!! I especially like the last shot of the DreamLifter rising through the dust cloud.
The green and silver one, A6-EGZ, flies for Emirates. Kind of fun to see a plane in its bare form before being painted. :-)
Emirates 777s and Cargolux looks like always shining freshly painted..
uhhhhhhhhhhh the sounds of 747 and 777. love it
Fantastic video! I love Boeing. Thanks for sharing.
Still love coming back to watch this one!
+Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD I like to take advantage of the "family plan", my cousin is an engineer with Boeing(2 Masters Degrees). Whenever I go to visit him, he always gives me a "in your face" exclusive tour of the Boeing Facility, like walking around in the inside the belly of 777,Dreamliner,747-8..always something new to see and learn.
D McNamara same i like 747-8 too
ONE of the BEST PLANE videoes I have seen in a long time ..SUPERB!
I wish there was a AIR FIELD around here like this one ..WOW!..
Alot of testing going on it looks like
MANY THANKS :)
Thank you! I'll keep at it. I haven't been able to get many airliners lately, but I'll work on it. :-)
I honestly prefer Airbus but I have to admit that the new Boeing 747-8 is the most beautiful aircraft I've ever seen!
I prefer Boeing, but I have to admit the A350 is a beautiful aircraft. Now look at that a Boeing and an Airbus fan getting along. LOL
I love the Dreamlifter!!
You are very welcome! Well stormy fall/winter weather are my favorite too so I'm looking forward to that. Nevertheless I also love your footage off the historic aircraft. That IL2 is something else, enjoyed it very much. Cheers mate and thanks for your response.
This is by far my favorite plane video! What an amazing collection of planes! I don't live far from Paine Field, and have always wanted to go plane spot there - thank you SOOO much for your great video!
@MALIKGREGO yes, Boeing Field is just south of Seattle. Boeing 737's are assembled a few miles away at Renton Municipal Airport. KBFI is the primary location for their flight test center. Paine Field is where this video was shot.
Excellent upload. Thank you. ROCK ON!!!!!!
Awesome! Glad you like it!
This is such an awesome video! Thanks for sharing your work.
Thank you! I'm shooting with a Canon VIXIA HG20 and a substantial PVC camera rig for stability.
thank you for presenting a very interesting video of a great airplane that is wonderfully congratulated for
Fight to Fly Photography
Yes, it comes from the brakes as they are used to stop the wheels rotating before they enter the landing gear bay. The black smoke is emitted as the brakes are brand new.
I enjoy Boeing 777 engines!! :)
Love the noisemaker at 6:00.
Fantastic footage, thanks for all your efforts!
I love 737 when they do 747 sounds
787 just an awesome aircraft
It's a Ram Air Turbine. They are mainly used to generate electricity in the event the normal electrical systems are lost. They are probably testing it as part of pre-delivery.
During gear retraction the brakes are applied on the main gear, depending on the condition of the brakes you sometimes get a puff of brake dust as they are applied. You get it a lot when the aircraft has high rotate speeds.
love the emirates livery on a 777 :)
fight2flyphoto OUTSTANDING VIDEO ! ! I've seen some of your other videos and outstanding Enjoy your work. Best on you tube.. THANK YOU keep up the excellent work..
Love those GE turbines .....
Very nice vid. Mixing your viewpoints and angles was also very interesting.
lovely video many thanks for this.
Thanks man!!
16:33 A 737 with missles? Awesome!
Awesome spoting place! Like!
That 737 - AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning & Control) aircraft for the Turkish Air Force. The thing on top is Northrop Grumman’s Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) radar.
excelente video, Great Video !!!, Gracias por subirlo, thanks for uploading here !!
Very nice shoot:! Just the right hight, clearview and closeup:)
Awesome Video
Not even close. The Ram Air Turbine is for auxiliary power for hydraulics/other systems and has nothing to do with the previous problems with the 787. If you read the description you'll see that since these are per-delivery TEST FLIGHTS the RAT is extended upon landing for most flights as a way to test the system.
Paine Field, also known as Snohomish County Airport (IATA: PAE, ICAO: KPAE, FAA LID: PAE) is a public airport located in unincorporated Snohomish County, between Mukilteo and Everett, Washington. It is served by a Federal Aviation Administration control tower, and has precision and non-precision instrument approaches available to pilots. Info fom Wikipedia
@trumpetman63 Its all from public viewing ares. Paine Field has some really great spotting locations. Two on the west side and one on the east. Spotting GA on the smaller parallel runway is even better.
That's, indeed, brake dust. The brakes kick in to stop the wheel rotation as the main bogies are being stored in the well. It just looks bad, but is perfectly normal, especially until they're "broken in". :-)
Boeing builds beautiful birds
I only came here for the Unpainted Boeing 777
Awesome video.
thanks for the answer!
great footage...regards from belgium!
Many thanks, I never knew that.
Great video!!!
WoW,that's Boeing delivery center
I ll enjoy
It is a RAM air turbine, it is used to generate electrical power in case the generators on the engines or APU fail.
I guess the turbine was being tested, for some reason....
Great video bro !
Oh yeah! Good thinking.
Ya thats pretty cool to see my uncle flys a 767 for air canada
One of the guys trimming the grass at 20:35 should of thrown that grass trimmer in 777's engine to see what would happen. Later he could just say "It was just a prank bro".
Nothing is "out of rig" it's brake dust from them stopping the wheels while the retract and nothing comes into contact with gear doors. This is visible on all first flights.
I believe that is coming from the auto brakes on the 777 when they take off. You must brake all wheels before you put them up. when there is no back force on them they stop instantly because of how much braking power they have. So the Black smoke comes out just before the gear are up. Usually half way up.

趙順宏 What are you trying to say? Did you reupload the video elsewhere?
Great Video...I'm crazy about Airplanes myself and anything mechanical my friend...
With something as complex as an aircraft you can't just roll it off the assembly line and into the hands of the new owners. Each aircraft has to go through several test flights to ensure it is up to standards.
Did you see that the Japan Airlines 787 had its Ram Air Turbine deployed under the belly by the wheels? Pretty cool to see it being used. Maybe an early issue with the batteries which forced them to use Alternate power supply. @14:12
great!
Not sure, I keep forgetting to ask my buddy who works out on the flightline there... I do see it quite often on these new jets.
great video!
Very Nice !!! ;)
Notice that the 777 at 7.23 has the RAT (Ram Air Turbine) deployed, just inboard of the right hand inboard flap.
Nice footage! How lucky you are. The best I get is DTW. Blah.
Happens again at 13:20, I think it's the gear brakes. A brake is applied when the gear goes up so the wheels don't continue spinning inside the belly. Could be the "newness" burning off smoke.....just my guess.
It's a wedgetail aircraft developed for Australia and Turkey. AEW&C, Airborne Early Warning & Control. Like the USAF AWACS.
Super
Temos muita tecnologia mas o avião é algo fora do comum, o mundo ficou pequeno com um meio de transporte tão eficiente sem comentário ele é o gigante dos ares é tão bonito a decolagem como a terrizagem ele é completo.
am i right that most of the engines are from rolls royce, lovley sound they make!!
elton cultice.. Why don't you go out and show us how to do it then !! These video that Jason takes are the BEST on you tube, he does GOOD work!!
It's flight testing. I've seen more Boeing jets (Watch more of my videos, you'll see 747's and 777's with them too) land with the RAT deployed than not. It's perfectly normal and has nothing remotely to do with the current issues.
nice
i like tam 777 nice
nice vid keep it up mate :)
Can anyone stand as close as you were, or did you get permission, because your video is like 10x better than what I see at Sea-Tac at both ends of the runways.
It would be interesting to measure 0-100 mph time for each model when they are empty like in these first few test flights, and then compare that to supercars :)
What do you use for recording the detail is amazing? Thanks for posting this from an avid planespotter.
Este avião é tudo de bom...
Nice shots. How close are you to the runway with the most takeoff's you captured? What is the distance? Grtz from Holland

Heavy Metal - Boeing 737, 747, 777, and 787 Dreamliner
Just for the info. The first 3 747s are 747-8F.
Because there isn't a good enough market for it. They are hardly selling the latest 747-8i. The 747-8 freighter seems to be selling ok though.
I think that is a device used to tell radar in planes, or where other things are,
but you should look up AWACS.
(Airborne warning and control system)
Hope this helps. :)
beautiful video!!! which airfield is this??? Thank you for the upload
