- Join me on an enchanting walk through one of New York City's most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods - Washington Heights. Nestled at the northern tip of Manhattan, this area is a melting pot of cultures, history, and breathtaking views. I then take a walk on the George Washington Bridge to the New Jersey State Line and walk back to the A Subway Station at 181st Street.

My young man, you've made an old man so happy, to be able to see different places on your channel. I enjoyed watching your walks through different neighborhoods, like Washington Heights etc. NYC, is definitely a melting pot of different cultures.
I've not too long ago was watching your trip to London, oh how that was marvelous! I proposed to my late wife at Buckingham palace. Your trip to London has brought back so many wonderful memories for me. I hope you traveled back there very soon, and you could also visit Paris as well. My young man keep traveling.
God Bless.
You’re welcome, thank you so much for your kind words and it sounds like you had quite the time in London 😊
I grew up in that neighborhood, lived at 180th street and Cabrini Blvd.
I must have crossed that bridge on my bike and on foot about 10,000,000 times
That North Walk is something new. It wasn't there back then.
Thanks for posting this video, it does bring back lots of memories.
OMG! I was just looking into this area on Google maps as I am doing research for the next time I visit NYC. I want to see how safe the area is, watching your video will help me! Thanks for exploring Washington Heights and George Washington Bridge! Cheers! 🥂
Not being facetious. I do the same. Exploring Google maps and all, then go.
I grew up in Washington heights. It’s a safe community. Just be smart and have your head on a swivel since you are in a major city
ActionKid - I have never roamed WASHINGTON HEIGHTS - and now I have with your probing viewfinder eye - AWESOMELY PRODUCED - Not a bad place to live - LOVE the sidewalk entries!
I just showed my wife this video where the market is and when in NY- we will TRAFFIC there BIG APPLE TIME@
Thank you so much!
Superb video and the 4K resolution was perfect. I almost jumped away from the TV screen when a cyclist zoomed by. Awesome !
You and me both!
It looks like a cross between Istanbul and Mexico City.
Nice to see all the local businesses. Looks like a good community with lots happening.
It sure is
I agree. Almost all the avaliable locations have tennants showing that NYC is coming back.
31:14 Got recognized by Andrew Dice Clay's viewer. AK is The Big Shot! 😂 49:44 New York and New Jersey State Lines! You always have fun either at the border or state lines. 😁 Nice to see Washington Heights and all the local businesses. Also, I see the contrast between George Washington Bridge compared to your other Washington Bridge in the Bronx. 😲 Thank you for sharing this relaxing stroll, AK! 🤗
Hell yeah, GWB is world renowned (even mentioned this in episode of the Sopranos) Probably the most important connection The United States 🇺🇸 has. WHILE ALOT OF PEOPLE LIVING IN THE HEIGHTS BARELY EVEN KNOW OF THE WASHINGTON BRIDGE 🌉 OR REALLY DONT CARE TO CROSS IT BY FOOT, YOU SAW HOW NARROW IT IS. PLUS THAT PARK DOWN THERE IS SKETCHY AS HELL, ACTIONKID IS LUCKY HE DIDNT BUMP INTO ANY NER DO WELLS, LETS SAY I HAD AN INCIDENT THERE , 2 CRACKHEADS AND A BROKEN BOTTLE 😮😮😮😅😅😅😅😅

Yet another enjoyable walk thru the city's Burroughs. every time you passed a store selling produce, it reminded me of when I trucked fresh Corn on the cob to Hunt's point from upstate Ny picked in the afternoon and at Hunt's point by 11pm. can't get any fresher than that. Just outside the Albany area from local farm. Thanks for sharing ECF
My pleasure! I enjoy walking past all the produce vendors
If I've not said it before, I'll say it again; I *_love_* how New York City kept its old commercial and residential buildings such as are here in this part of the coty
Its cool to see that frontal boundarie in the distance when youre walking back to New York
Looks like such a cultural mix. Saw Cuban, Chinese, Jewish businesses - all in one block. Looks interesting and vibrant.
Another "quiet" AK video, I like! Makes me feel like I'm there!
Thank you so much for this beautiful walk ActionKid👌🇺🇸, enjoy it very much👍.
That bridge is a hard contrast in comparison to the dirty bridge from the last video 👍😆
NYC, a city of extremes. We have the best, we have the worst. We have the wealthiest, we have the poorest. "If you can make it here you can make it anywhere." Not everyone can handle the challenges of NYC.
Absolutely!
Ha ha, when you were trying to find a subway station 🚉 in Times Square for New YEARS , I was like well you could go to 191st station in the Height. LO N BEHOLD, CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR, GUESS YOU FINALLY FOUND IT IN THE A TRAIN 181ST HA HA HAVE A HAPPY AND OF COURSE ACTION PACKED NEW YEARS KID
WOW Action Kid that was a fun and enjoyable walk you did. Thanks for the show From New York
One of my favourite walks. Fantastic!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice looking buildings ,stores and restaurants along your walk , Washington Heights looks quite nice neighborhood 😎The George Washington bridge looks great and the views from there sure are amazing 39:14 😎Thank you for sharing this enjoyable and relaxing walk A K🙂👍!!!
🤔
Thanks so much for watching!
The views from the bridge on a clear day are spectacular. The Hudson is completely straight there so you can see the entire length of Manhattan, including the Empire State Building in Midtown and World Trade Downtown on one side of the bridge and then the Palisades to the Tappen Zee almost up to West Point up the river on the other side.
@@b.griffin317 Sounds great ,thank you for the info👍
thanks for amazing journey
😊 nice to see my old zip code area 🍻👍🏼
Little Dominican Republic ... New York (Manhattan) is the second city with most Dominicans after Santo Domingo. 🇩🇴
👍
A song about New York City,
🔥VERA "Take Me To The Bridge" (1980)🔥
🦜Next time there, upon one of your returns to NYC, you should try Mofongo in the Heights!
❤
What’s the average distance you walk everyday?
Really enjoyed this.
Thanks for the upload
Chris my best friend neighborhood 🚶
AK, I enjoyed this walk through the Washington Heights neighborhood and on the George Washington bridge. It was very interesting. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ol' school. No talking. Nice!
Nice tour bro!👏👏👍
Thank you!
I did a video of the George Washington bridge a few months ago.
At the 2:43 mark doesn't that, whatever it is, looks like a smiling face.
My parents both born in Washington heights
Cool 😎
wow, your legs are SO long to be in 2 states at once! lol but wow, that's a beautiful view of the Hudson even on a cloudy day; I read WH is an enclave for folks from the Dom. Republic, and the WH area was described as diverse and vibrant. Looked as if there some nice restaurants there, too. Just wondering, do you use GPS as you walk back over the Bridge to get to the station at 181st street, or do you write out directions for yourself? Or did you already know the way?
Wow so shark and crispy! What settings have you got the pocket 3 on for this?
You should mention the time and date and temperature like you do on your narrated videos. At least show a chyron text saying it.😊
Yep that bridge was definitely a hidden gem
Can you walk morningside heights and Manhattanville one day?
I’ve gone there before, it would be awesome to revisit 😎
Yo Action Kid. Thanks for Replin the Heights luv n respect 🙏 🫡, but 1 little thing, piece of advice, sometimes just use discretion when pointing your camera 📷 into certain avenue s. Like 176th street, that ave is kind a. Got a lot of drugged up paranoid dudes, na mean. What you did though is smart, reaching Broadway thru 171st Funny and you could check it out yourself. One of your past tours of the heights, when you passed through 189, there was this dude that was sitting on a couch, then he stood up, from his body language, he thought you were probably a cop 👮♂️. You are walking with god, n just use that spidey sense, amd you can do a walking tour of the Gaza Strip(wow Taiwan 🇹🇼 may the force be with u) or Ukraine 🇺🇦 Peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊
Morning A. K
Stay warm panda Hat on ?
How come you don't comment on some of your videos?
I love watching your channel, but I wish you would talk more, especially where you are, etc. I used to live in Port Chester, NY back in the 1970s and so much has changed. I wish I knew what streets it was I was looking at.
