Es un buen avión. Yo tuve la oportunidad de volar de copiloto el único M28 que ha habido en Colombia. Era el HK-4066 de latina de aviación, pero operado por Aerocharter de Colombia. Lamentablemente ambas empresas ya no están operando. Ambas sufrieron la crisis de la industria de finales de los 90.
Antonov was a visionary aircraft designer, not so visionary were the USSR leaders. He developed this machine by self initiative to replace the very common in use small piston engine driven plane of his design An-14, which in turn he has developed to replace his legendary and still in service today An-2. First prototype maiden flight was in 1969, but party leaders said not need for it now. Later on Aeroflot bosses realised there are a lot of places in the vast USSR where no road is reaching which are too large or too far to be serviced by Antonov An-2 and the An-14 units has reached end of service life or are becoming too expensive to service. So in 1973 a further developed prototype, looking more or less the same as the M28 Sikorsky made its maiden flight. In 1975 Aeroflot bought 190 planes, but for various, partly political reasons later on they preffered the Checho-Slovakian Let L-410 «Turbolet». In 1978 polish PZL-Mielec bought production license rights and made first plane in 1984. In 1993, PZL-Mielec developed their own improved variant, the PZL M28 Skytruck. So 34 years after the first flight american companies find Antonov's creation quite good for the purposes the plane was developed, modernized it to current standards and are marketing it all over the world.
Polish designer snginers improved a lot Antonov design. Performance was improved by 60% and costs of using and maintaining were reduced at least by factor of 2. They made new wings for it, one central refueling point ( not few refueling points like in An-28). New powerful Prat & Whitney PT-6 engines use much less fuel, new awionic, new landing gear, new cargo compartmant i na róg versions. That is not fuckin Antonov, calling it Antonov you spitt on the face of all Polish constructors which improved soviet shity design.

Srs construtores sou piloto de aeronaves e só opero em pistas ruins. Achei fantástico o modelo de aeronave que seria muito boa para o norte do nosso País. Eu acho que a carga deveria entrar pela frente da aeronave e depois ficaria os bancos disponibilizados ao passageiros na parte de trás, principalmente para remoção de doentes e feridos. A idéia dos bancos serem escamotiaveis é otima para otimizar espaço para diferentes ocasiões, mas na parte de tras da aeronave. Gostaria de ter um poster dessa aeronave se possível ,Grato
En Colombia solo fueron a guaymaral. Creo que debieron ir a Villavicencio,meta. Ahí si es la base del mercado y desde donde se vuela a dichas pistas cómo usted dice no preparadas y en dónde verdaderamente se hubiera visto la versatilidad real del avión, para citar un ejemplo: Taraira, Tarapacá,Tapurucuara, Acariciara, Monfort, Tiquie, Pacoa, Araracuara, Miraflores,Mapiripan, Cumaribo y como muchas más ya que usted nombra a groso la finalización del conflicto armado en Colombia. Hay muchas otras pistas en esta zona del país que quedan bien retiradas de la civilización como tal, La Chorrera, La pedrera, Pto Leguizamo, Pto Asís, Villagarzon que son pavimentadas en fin aquí en Villavicencio es donde debieron haber venido y demostrar que el avión si cumple para esas pista no que mencioné anteriormente dónde el DC3/AC47 R1830 va igual el DC3TP. Este avión que ustedes promocionaron debería de ir a esas pistas y ahí pasa el verdadero periodo de prueba y sin lugar a dudas ya estaría volando ese avión aquí en Colombia.
