You have no say if charges are brought. Pressing charges is such a TV term, even cops picked it up. The DA will prosecute if they have enough evidence, though I guess a lot of those times it's a willing witness.

There is a reason for it. If you were paying a fortune in rent at a pool with a 2 guest max and the whole ghetto showed up started getting loud and trashing the place you would be annoyed too. It's only racist and classist when you are trying to crash the pool you don't pay for. People pay high rent to ESCAPE those people. They don't pay it for fun. I have had her exact situation, paying massive rent for people to jump the fence to use the pool, or violate the rules by inviting way more people that are permitted. In my case, I hate running, I like swimming to burn calories. So, I paid high rent to get a place in a nice area with a big pool. Well, people would jump the fence, or two low income and low class people would split a 2 BR, then invite 10+ people to the pool which violated the rules. If you confronted them, you were a racist, classist, or a Karen/Kevin (whatever male version of Karen is) You can't do laps in the pool when kids are cannon balling on top of you and drunks are backing into you. So, I confronted them. Had more then one confrontation but I won every single one, the only mistake she made is being rude to the police, I wasn't.
Also, what she said is 100% true, you can say "white b---H" all you want but if you say anything against POC God help you.

As a mother of 4, can say without question if your baby doesn’t even cry let alone SCREAMING (they can also legitimately feel and feed off your energy/emotions) for that baby to be that calm is scary. It’s normal to them. Every day life. My kids would’ve been inconsolable.

I’ll admit here that the officer had every right to be offended. She’s also wearing a uniform that paints her as a prime target of harassment, insults, and violent attacks. It’s part of her responsibility to keep control of her emotions on the job. She did a relatively good job of that, but I’ll speculate the officer also had numerous opportunities to de-escalate the situation.
All else aside, that screeching banshee of a woman deserved to be shown exactly how inappropriate she was. You’d think her parents would’ve done that when she was in preschool, but alas here we are.
@@robertbeard230 You have some very fair points, however, the situation went from 0 to 100. I don't quite believe (just my opinion) that she felt very offended, but rather protected the other people around her - who quite factually, got straight up harassed in a racist mannor.
And aye, she could've been very sweet and trying more to de-escalate the situation, but to my eye, some people just need a little rough-booting to get a reality check. To make them realise that they can't do whatever they want, specially when they harm others. And she did it from the heart, is what I personally noticed.
Besides, the charges where dropped anyways... so yeah. Yikes.

@@jasch5027 It really depends on the circumstances facing the prosecutor. Just because the chargers were dropped doesn't mean they didn't do that. But the prosecutor wants to get her charged with something, and sometimes you have to drop some charges to do that.
