I hope that he gets to leave the series and retires, if that's what he wants. He made the game so that causal game enjoyers can play fighting games, and yet the competitive community is the most dominant one for the series. All while Nintendo pushes for new Smash games to pad out their catalogue. I don't get it, where do people want the series to go? Yes, there are some missing stages but how do you top a game with the word "ultimate" in the title?

    • @MB26535
      @MB26535 Před 5 měsíci

@@erickmaverick3128 I'd argue the series doesn't actually *need* to evolve. Just look at Melee and Smash 64. Both of them have communities that have survived for the better part of two decades. Melee in particular has survived despite game-breaking glitches and Nintendo's attempts to stop tournament play.
Even with an absurd roster of 89 characters and relatively well-balanced patch list, Ultimate has curtailed signifigantly after only 5 years (although external factors have played a part in that). Brawl and Sm4sh barely lasted that long, which proves that 'evolution' is not always better. The main selling point was that "Everyone is here!", so what more could they really add besides new characters and movesets?
I think Sakurai does not want to leave his life's work in the hands of corporate Nintendo, and with a 'Switch 2' rumored to be in the works, this might involve him working on another Smash game. If he does leave, I think there might be a controversal change akin to the removal of National Dex in Sword and Shield. I can see them making a decision that gets a lot of old players upset.
In my opinion, if there was a stopping point for the series, Ultimate would not be a bad place to end off.

Everything is available from the start. That is, including Sound Test AND (for VS. Mode) Item Switch and Random Stage Select. The one exception is Event Match (which is unlocked after unlocking all of the unlockable characters). And like the previous 4 installments (SMASH 64, MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4), ULTIMATE DELUXE is back to having more starter characters than unlockable characters. And so, all of the unlockables will have standard criteria of how to unlock them or doing VS. Mode matches (if unlock criteria is not used). Yes, all the unlockables are going to have unique criteria (as in the previous 4 installments --SMASH 64, MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4). So no more worrying about just having the characters from Smash 64's "Original 8" from the start. And all 89 characters (returning from ULTIMATE) are going to be starters. But only one newcomer in the base game (not counting Nintendo Switch's Sportsmate Fighters --which only can be created) is going to be a starter. And it is Dark Link (from the Legend of Zelda universe).
The unlock criteria goes like this:
    1. Unlock Waluigi - Complete the 100 Man Smash or play 25 VS. Mode matches.
    2. Unlock Birdo - Complete Classic with Mario (and with no continues) or play 50 VS. Mode matches
    3. Unlock Aryll - Complete Classic with no continues or play 75 VS. Mode matches.
    4. Unlock Meowth - Complete Classic with any character or play 100 VS. Mode matches.
    5. Unlock Mew - Complete Classic on Normal or Hard in 20 minutes (or less) or play 125 VS. Mode matches.
    6. Unlock Riolu - Complete Classic on Normal or Hard with 3 stocks and no continues or play 150 VS. Mode matches.
    7. Unlock Medusa - Complete Classic with 10 different characters or play 175 VS. Mode matches.
    8. Unlock Viridi - Defeat at least 1 enemy in Cruel Smash or play 200 VS. Mode matches.
    9. Unlock Aiai - Play VS. Mode for 20 hours or play 225 VS. Mode matches.
    10. Unlock TY the Tasmanian Tiger - Complete Classic with all other characters (except for TY the Tasmanian Tiger and switched-in characters) or play 250 VS. Mode matches.
If you do Classic on Normal or Hard (with Mario) to unlock Birdo, do Classic with no continues on Normal or Hard, or do Classic with any character on Normal or Hard to unlock Meowth, you will get Mew or Riolu. So if you really want Birdo as the 2nd unlockable character for doing Classic with Mario, it must be done on Easy. If you want Aryll as your 3rd unlockable character, you must do Classic on Easy with no continues. And if you want Meowth as your 4th one, you must do Classic on Easy with any character. Mew is unlocked by doing Classic on Normal or Hard in 20 minutes or less, while Riolu is unlocked by doing Classic on Normal or Hard with 3 stocks and no continues. And the unlockable character who is guaranteed as the last unlockable character is TY the Tasmanian Tiger (from the TY the Tasmanian Tiger universe). He is a third party character (mascot of Krome Studios). And he is unlocked by doing Classic with all other characters (except for TY the Tasmanian Tiger) or by doing 250 VS. Mode matches.
If you only do VS. Mode matches, the unlockable characters will be unlocked each time 25 VS. Mode matches are done. The original Super Smash Bros (along with the VC and Nintendo Switch Online versions) did not have a set unlockable character to be unlocked last. So the unlockable characters in the original game (Ness, Luigi, Jigglypuff, and C.Falcon) could be unlocked in any order. But in MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, ULTIMATE, and ULTIMATE DELUXE, there is a set unlockable character to be unlocked last. So in MELEE, the set unlockable character to be unlocked last was Mr. Game and Watch. BRAWL had it Jigglypuff (if SSE method was used), the 3DS version of SMASH 4 had it Jigglypuff, the Wii U version of SMASH 4 had it Duck Hunt, ULTIMATE had it Palutena (only through VS. Mode matches), and now ULTIMATE DELUXE (the seventh and current installment in the series --seventh if both versions of SMASH 4 are counted separately) has it the third party character TY the Tasmanian Tiger. So in ULTIMATE DELUXE, Masahiro Sakurai stated it would be appropriate that third party characters (ULTIMATE DELUXE newcomers only) should not only be unlockable, but also to be unlocked last. As a result, Aiai (from the Super Monkey Ball universe) is the 9th and penultimate unlockable character, while TY the Tasmanian Tiger (from the TY the Tasmanian Tiger universe) is the 10th and true last one. In the final event of Event Match (yes, Event 99: Fight All Characters), the penultimate character to be fought is Aiai and the true last character is TY the Tasmanian Tiger. But the other 97 non DLC characters out of 100 (starters and unlockables) are going to be mixed around. So you are not going to always see Mario or Mr. Game and Watch as the first opponent.
All Star (from MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4) and Mob Smash's All Star Smash (from ULTIMATE) is succeeded by the event Event 99: Fight All Characters. This is similar to the final co-op events from BRAWL and SMASH 4 (Co-Op Event 21: The True All Star Battle AND The Ultimate Battle). And the characters are fought in the same order as they are fought from MELEE's All Star. The order is random, except for Aiai (who is the penultimate character) and TY the Tasmanian Tiger (who is fought last). Completion of the event unlocks the Dharkon trophy.
The order of the unlockable characters is a set order (just like in BRAWL and SMASH 4). So it starts with Waluigi (that being the first unlockable character) and finishes with the third party character TY the Tasmanian Tiger. And yes, Wario and Lucas (from the Wario Ware and Mother universes) are now back to being starters as they were in BRAWL. Also, for the first time, Dr. Mario, Falco, Roy, Young Link, Pichu, Mewtwo, and Mr. Game and Watch (from the Super Mario Bros, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, and Game and Watch universes) are starters. (NOTE: Marth and Ganondorf had been a starter in at least one installment prior to ULTIMATE DELUXE. And that was SMASH 4. But excluding BRAWL and SMASH 4 except Dr. Mario in SMASH 4, Dr. Mario, Falco, Roy, Young Link, Pichu, Mewtwo, and Mr. Game and Watch were formerly unlockables. That is, since MELEE and ULTIMATE. Ness and C.Falcon from Smash 64's "Original 12" were both starters in MELEE and SMASH 4, while Luigi and Jigglypuff were starters in just SMASH 4. But then, they reverted back to being unlockables in ULTIMATE, along with the other MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4 newcomers.) And by extension, not only is Luigi a starter (like he was in SMASH 4), ULTIMATE DELUXE is the second installment after the Wii U version of SMASH 4 where all the characters from Smash 64's "Original 12" are starters. That is, due to all the veterans (from ULTIMATE) being available from the start, plus the one ULTIMATE DELUXE newcomer Dark Link (from the Legend of Zelda universe).

And yeah I think Sakurai is leaving his CZcams Channel since he is now start working on the next new Super Smash Bros Game cause seeing a new Super Smash Bros Game would be awesome to see and also finally seeing characters like Bandana Waddle Dee, Waluigi, and Geno being in the new Smash Bros Game which I cannot wait to see the new Super Smash Bros Game. Plus they do look a little similar 😂(his technically parent series being the Wario series where he hasn’t appeared in a single game, just the Mario sports & kart games and such). If we get another Mario or DK character for the next Smash Bros., it’s most likely gonna be either Paper Mario or Geno and Dixie Kong. I’m personally hoping for Paper Mario & Dixie Kong, I don’t really care for Geno and although he is likely to be chosen, at the same time I kinda hope they don’t choose him because I would rather have Paper Mario & Dixie Kong.

In SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE, Trophies are unlocked only through 1 player modes on GAMES AND MORE. That is, despite returning from MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4. That means there are no unique and specific trophies (such as the Maxim Tomato from the Kirby universe). As a result, on TROPHY GALLERY, all trophies are listed alphabetically. And yes, due to the number of trophies (as they are unlocked only through 1 player modes), challenges will not appear. (However, the normal Hammer and Golden Hammer from the Donkey Kong and Wrecking Crew universes still will return as items and play their same theme songs.)
As for recovery items, since All Star (since ULTIMATE) does not return, Heart Containers (from the Legend of Zelda universe) are back to recovering 999% damage as they did in the original Super Smash Bros. (That is, instead of 100% --unlike in the first four sequels after the original game MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE.) The Maxim Tomato (from the Kirby universe) is back to the original game's function. That is, by healing 100% damage instead of 50% (unlike MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE --the first 4 sequels after the original game). And the Fairy Bottle (from the Legend of Zelda universe) releases 200% damage. (That is, instead of 100% from SMASH 4 and ULTIMATE.) Food (from the Super Smash Bros universe) remains unchanged from MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE and still is 1% to 11% damage.
The original game did not have a set unlockable character to be unlocked last. And the unlockable characters Ness, Luigi, Jigglypuff, and C.Falcon could be unlocked in any order. But MELEE had a set unlockable character to be unlocked last and that was Mr. Game and Watch. BRAWL's set unlockable character was Jigglypuff (in "SSE" order --as Toon Link was the 12th unlockable character, Wolf was the 13th one, AND Jigglypuff was the 14th and final). In the 3DS version of SMASH 4, it was Jigglypuff. In the Wii U version of SMASH 4, it was Duck Hunt. In ULTIMATE, it was Palutena. And in ULTIMATE DELUXE, it is the third party character TY the Tasmanian Tiger. So in ULTIMATE DELUXE, Masahiro Sakurai would decide that third party characters (newcomers only) should not only be unlockable. But also be the last unlockable character. So the penultimate unlockable character is Aiai (from the Super Monkey Ball universe), while TY the Tasmanian Tiger (from the TY the Tasmanian Tiger) should be the last one. (NOTE: Also, TY the Tasmanian Tiger is the mascot of Krome Studios.)
Since all 89 veteran characters (with switched-in characters counted separately including all 3 of Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon --though Pokemon Trainer is still considered a "shared-character" and uses "Pokemon Change" making him the only transformation character to return in all games including BRAWL, ULTIMATE, and ULTIMATE DELUXE) return as starter characters, ULTIMATE DELUXE will be the first installment in the Smash series to have both starter and unlockable third party characters. But only for the veterans Snake, Sonic, Pac Man, Mega Man, Ryu, Ken, Bayonetta, Joker, Simon, Richter, Cloud, Hero, Sephiroth, Kazuya, Banjo, Steve, Terry, and Sora. Only the newcomers Aiai AND TY the Tasmanian Tiger will be unlockables. (NOTE: Also, ULTIMATE DELUXE will be the first installment where Pyra and Myrtha are no longer transformation characters like Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Zelda, and Sheik. The Koopalings can still remain as Bowser Jr's alt. colors, same thing for Alph on Olimar. And Steve's colors Steve, Alex, Steve White, Alex White, Steve Black, Alex Blue, Zombie, and Enderman can still be alt. colors for Steve. But Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Zelda, Sheik, Pyra, and Myrtha will all be separate characters.)
If counting switched-in characters (since MELEE), MELEE had 26 characters, BRAWL had 39, SMASH 4 had 58 (counting DLC), ULTIMATE had 89 (counting Mii Fighters and DLC), and ULTIMATE DELUXE has 103 (counting Mii Fighters and Sportsmate Fighters). (NOTE: However, ULTIMATE DELUXE is the first installment to have no DLC characters or stages.) Also Kevin Afghani will be the new voice actor of Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi. This makes ULTIMATE DELUXE the first appearance of Kevin Afghani in the Smash series. Samantha Kelly will still be Peach and Deanna Mustard will still be Daisy. Kazumi Totaka will still be Yoshi and Birdo.
MASTERPIECES (from VAULT) was only gone for one game (that being, absent from ULTIMATE). But in ULTIMATE DELUXE, it does return. And the full version of all the retro games can be purchased for the Nintendo Switch Online. (NOTE: The trial's conclusion notes that the full version can be purchased for the Nintendo Switch Online and gives the player a link to the Switch 2's Nintendo EShop Channel. If the three Nintendo Game Boy/Nintendo Game Boy Color demos are played, the trial's conclusion says, "The full version can be purchased for the Switch 2 Lite's Nintendo Switch Online. If you own a Nintendo Switch 2 Lite system, then you can buy it from the Switch 2 Lite's Nintendo EShop Channel". The demos from the NES, Super Nintendo, and N64 has the message saying as, "The full version can be purchased for the Nintendo Switch Online. You can jump to the Switch 2's Nintendo EShop Channel for details. You are going to then connect to the internet".) Also, since the original Super Smash Bros appears as one of the demos, that game is set to be one of the Nintendo 64 titles to be released for the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online. Now the Switch 2 will allow the player to play three games from the Smash series (that being, SMASH 64, ULTIMATE, and ULTIMATE DELUXE). That is, since the Switch 2 family is compatible with the Switch family. But since it is again not compatible with Wii and/or Wii U, you can no longer get MELEE, BRAWL, or SMASH 4. You are able to get three other Smash series games (that being, SMASH 64, ULTIMATE, and ULTIMATE DELUXE). And that is only if you get SMASH 64 from both the Switch and Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online. (NOTE: SMASH 64 for the original Switch's Nintendo Switch Online can be purchased and played if the Switch 2 is running under "Nintendo Switch Mode".) Nintendo Switch Online games on the Switch 2 and Switch 2's Nintendo EShop Channel are purchased the same way from the original Switch family (the Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED, and New Switch).
Since the Switch 2 Lite is just handheld, only the Switch 2 Lite's Nintendo Switch Online will offer Nintendo Game Boy, Nintendo Game Boy Color, Nintendo Game Boy Advanced, and Nintendo DS titles (including Mario Kart DS and Mario Party DS). The Switch 2 (as it is a home console, the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online will offer Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Nintendo 64 titles (yes, including Super Smash Bros 64). And yes, the first 3 installments from the Mario Party series (MARIO PARTY 1, 2, and 3) are going to be available for the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online.

I feel like the next entry should be a full reboot, with a smaller roster (back to basics, so to speak). That way, we can get an actual follow up to Subspace Emissary, bring back a few of the fan favourite 3rd party fighters (that are negotiable), add in some new ones that are highly requested, and add back trophies again.
I used to believe that a straight port of Ultimate with new content added is more likely, but after thinking about all of the characters they would have to negotiate for again to come back, now I'm not so sure

I wouldn’t expect a new smash bros game for a while.

  • @jacobchang7165
    @jacobchang7165 Před 2 měsíci

I should be thinking about a new Mario Party series game for the Switch 2. (NOTE: Since the Switch 2 Lite is a handheld, I would not be surprised if there was a SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE FOR SWITCH 2 LITE. The home console version will be known as SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE FOR SWITCH 2. The handheld version will be known as SUPER SMASH BROS FOR SWITCH 2 LITE. So the home console version's controller schemes will be Nintendo Switch Joystick, Nintendo Switch Pro, Nintendo Switch 2 Joystick, Nintendo Switch 2 Pro, and Nintendo Gamecube Controller via the Nintendo Gamecube Adapter. And yes, like the Switch, the Nintendo Gamecube Adapter will be able to play all Nintendo Switch 2 games.)
For a new Mario Party series game on the Switch 2 (yes, home console) it should be called "MARIO PARTY SUPERSTARS 2". The minigames will be the same from MARIO PARTY SUPERSTARS. But the "Mario Party Mode" element will also have a Team Mode. And all boards will allow Team Mode as well.
This is what the playable characters should be:
    1. Mario
    2. Luigi
    3. Peach
    4. Daisy
    5. Wario
    6. Waluigi
    7. Yoshi
    8. Rosalina
    9. Birdo
    10. Donkey Kong
    11. Diddy Kong (new character)
Too bad Diddy Kong was not in SUPERSTARS. But he should be in SUPERSTARS 2.
These are the items for SUPERSTARS 2:
    1. Skeleton Key
    2. Mushroom
    3. Cursed Dice Block
    4. Double Dice Set (NOTE: Double "7's" is 10 coins instead of 20 or 30.)
    5. Chomp Call
    6. Warp Block
    7. Triple Dice Set (NOTE: Triple "7's" is now 20 coins instead of 50 --or 100 from MARIO PARTY 8.)
    8. Custom Dice Block
    9. Plunder Chest
    10. Golden Pipe
    11. Hidden Block Card
    12. Boo Bell (NOTE: Stealing coins is free, while stealing a star is 50 coins. The Boo can steal up to 20 coins.)
    13. Dueling Glove
    14. Super Warp Block
    15. Double Star Card
    16. Item Bag
    17. Boo Repellent (NOTE: New to this item, this item can be bought at an Item Shop. This item can be used automatically. And if a victim player has a Boo Repellent, they can spray gas at the Boo to chase him away when he is after their stars or coins. The Boo does not steal anything from the victim. And the player who summoned the Boo ends up wasting 50 coins to steal a star for nothing.)
And these are the playable boards (on Mario Party Mode --Normal and Team Mode):
    1. Peach's Birthday Cake
    2. Yoshi's Tropical Island
    3. Space Land
    4. Horror Land
    5. Woody Woods
    6. Waluigi's Island (must first be unlocked)
There will be 2 boards from each of the first 3 installments (the original Mario Party, MARIO PARTY 2, and MARIO PARTY 3). To unlock Waluigi's Island, you must complete Story Mode with any character. And to unlock the unlockable difficulty Master, you must complete Story Mode on Hard. (NOTE: The three starter difficulties are Easy, Normal, and Hard. But to unlock Master, you must complete Story Mode on Hard. That is, similar to the previous two installments --MARIO PARTY 3, 4, and 5. That is, where the highest difficulty is unlocked by completing Story Mode on Hard.) Again no 1 vs. 3 minigames will ever be found on Team Mode.
Just like in MARIO PARTY 8, SUPERSTARS 2 will be the second installment in the Mario Party series to show all minigames from a selected category instead of only three, four, five, or six. Again, Toad is the host while Toadette is the host of the Star Space. SUPERSTARS 2 remains unchanged from SUPERSTARS. Only there is at least one new character, one new item, and one new board. There will be 11 playable characters (and yes, all of them are available from the start). As for Team Mode, teams will still share their coin and star total (like in MARIO PARTY 5 through 8 and DS). But like MARIO PARTY 4, there will be no team names. As a result, not only will bonus stars be awarded to both teams. But also, Toad will announce the "winner phrase" as, "The winner is 'character name' and character name's' team!" (like "The winner is Mario and Luigi's team!").
    These are the default teams:
    1. Mario and Luigi
    2. Peach and Daisy
    3. Wario and Waluigi
    4. Yoshi and Birdo
    5. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong
Similar to how Yoshi does not have a default partner in MARIO PARTY 6, Rosalina (in SUPERSTARS 2) is the only character who does not have a default partner.
Bonus stars remain unchanged from SUPERSTARS. And if the game is only set to "Classic Bonus Stars", there will be three bonus stars (the Minigame, Rich, AND Green Stars). (NOTE: On Team Mode, it is always "Classic Bonus Stars", just like in the MARIO PARTY 3 and 4 versions of Story Mode.) If the game is set to "All Bonus Stars", it will always be 2 bonus stars regardless of the number of turns. (NOTE: For "Turns", you can only do 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 turns. For Story Mode, all stages last 15 turns, just like in MARIO PARTY 4.) It is 2 bonus stars if the game is set to "All Bonus Stars" with 2 bonus stars chosen at random. The bonus stars remain the same (including the Minigame, Rich, Green, Item, Sightseer, Shopping, Unlucky, and Slow Poke Star). That is, for a total of eight bonus stars. "Classic Bonus Stars" for be chosen for Team Mode. But on Story Mode, it is always "Classic Bonus Stars". So the Item, Sightseer, Shopping, Unlucky, and Slow Poke Stars will never be awarded. (NOTE: Let me repeat: "Only on Team Mode's 'Classic Bonus Stars' and Story Mode which is always 'Classic Bonus Stars', only those 2 modes will award three bonus stars".) So unlike in SUPERSTARS, the bonus stars in SUPERSTARS 2 was changed to two if the board is set to "All Bonus Stars". It is only three if it is on "Classic Bonus Stars" (for Mario Party Mode) AND if you are playing under Story Mode.
For the game's Story Mode (which you must complete in order to unlock the unlockable board Waluigi's Island), the reason why the new characters (Daisy, Waluigi, Rosalina, Birdo, and Diddy Kong) will not be playable is because Waluigi is the guaranteed CPU opponent for Stage 6: Waluigi's Island (the 6th and final stage of Story Mode). This is instead similar to Mario Party 3's Story Mode (here in MARIO PARTY SUPERSTARS). So the only characters that are going to be playable in Story Mode are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong. The five remaining characters (Daisy, Waluigi, Rosalina, Birdo, and Diddy Kong) are going to be playable in all other game modes, except Story Mode. Waluigi appears as one of the opponents on the final stage (yes, Stage 6: Waluigi's Island). So he (along with Daisy, Rosalina, Birdo, and Diddy Kong) is not going to be playable in this mode. Also, all stages are going to be in a set order. Stage 1 is always Peach's Birthday Cake (from the original game), Stage 2 is always Yoshi's Tropical Island (from the original game), Stage 3 is always Space Land (from MARIO PARTY 2), Stage 4 is always Horror Land (from MARIO PARTY 2), Stage 5 is always Woody Woods (from MARIO PARTY 3), AND Stage 6 is always Waluigi's Island (from MARIO PARTY 3).
The reason why SUPERSTARS 2 should add the character Diddy Kong AND the board Waluigi's Island is because SUPERSTARS did not get DLC. (NOTE: Also SUPERSTARS 2 will be the second installment after MARIO PARTY 3 where Daisy and Waluigi are not playable in Story Mode. And by extension, besides the number "2" which makes it a sequel to SUPERSTARS, SUPERSTARS 2 will be the third installment after SUPER and SUPERSTARS to not be a numbered installment in the home console games.)

These are the things that should remain unchanged from Ultimate's Classic (here in ULTIMATE DELUXE):
    1. A Continue does not restart an ongoing match.
    2. Not every fighter can be selected (due to Mii Fighters AND Nintendo Switch Sports's Sportsmate Fighters being absent from this mode and not playable on any 1 player mode through the GAMES AND MORE mode).
But the three changes will be allowing co-op play, stocks are back to being 1 through 5, traditional difficulty setting, and bosses on Stage 7 being back at traditional HP. For bosses on Stage 7 of Classic, it is going to be back to having traditional HP (traditional stamina). And they will start at 300 HP (similar to Master Hand from Stage 11 of Smash 64's 1-P Game).
As for difficulties, instead of using colored words or colored Smash logos (except for the high score which uses a colored Smash logo), colored difficulties in ULTIMATE DELUXE will use books (colored books). So Easy is one green book (green Smash logo on high scores), Normal is two blue books (blue Smash logo on high scores), and Hard is three purple books (purple Smash logo on high scores).
While unlockable characters do not use unique messages (similar to ULTIMATE), here are the unlock notices you get for completing a specific mode:
    1. "You did Classic for the first time!" - Complete Classic with any character.
    2. "You did Classic on Hard!" - Complete Classic on Hard.
    3. "You did Classic on Hard with only one stock!" - Complete Classic on Hard with one stock (continues allowed).
    4. "You did Classic with all characters!" - Complete Classic with all characters.
    5. "You completed all 99 1-P event matches!" - Complete the Event 99: Fight All Characters.
    6. "You have used all characters in the Home Run Contest!" - Use all characters at least once in Home Run Contest.
    7. "You completed Century Smash for the first time!" - Complete the 100 Man Smash.
    8. "You have collected all the trophies!" - Unlock all trophies.
    9. "You have unlocked all the unlockable characters!" - Unlock all the unlockable characters (Waluigi, Birdo, Aryll, Meowth, Mew, Riolu, Medusa, Viridi, Aiai, and TY the Tasmanian Tiger). (NOTE: This does not include Sportsmate Fighters --as they can only be created. You only have to unlock the unlockable characters that are in the base game.)
    10. "You have added a new game mode. Choose Event Match under Games and More!" - Unlock Event Match (NOTE: Event Match is unlocked by unlocking all the unlockable characters. This is the only unlockable 1 player mode.)
There are 10 unique unlock notices and 11 for unlocking an unlockable character. That is, for a total of 21 generic unlock notices. (NOTE: As for Event Match, there are 98 events available from the start --as the said mode is unlocked after unlocking all the unlockable characters in the base game. But if you complete all of the first 98 events, you unlock the secret 99th event. That is, Event 99: Fight All Characters.)
For Ultimate Deluxe's Classic, they still yield bonuses at the end of stages, but like in BRAWL, there are no unique and specific bonuses. (That is, such as "Vegetarian" --for using 2, 3, or more Maxim Tomatoes.) Instead, there are 6 generic bonuses.
    These are the bonuses:
    1. Completed without using up a life - Have done Classic without using up any lives.
    2. Completed Classic on Easy - Have done Classic on Easy.
    3. Completed Classic on Normal - Have done Classic on Normal.
    4. Completed Classic on Hard - Have done Classic on Hard.
    5. Used a Continue - Have used up all your stocks and used a continue.
    6. PERFECT! - Have completed Bonus Stage: Race to the Finish (NOTE: You do not have to collect all the coins to complete the bonus stage.)
Five of the bonuses are yielded at the end of Classic. But the 6th is yielded for completing the bonus stage (which is after Stage 6 and before Stage 7).
Like Classic (from the previous five games --SMASH 64, MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE), the "Congratulations" screen in ULTIMATE DELUXE depicts a scene relating to the character that was used to complete the mode. And yes, for Roy (from the Fire Emblem universe), his "Congratulations" screen depicts him with the Koopaling Roy Koopa (from the Super Mario Bros universe). Like in both SMASH 4 and ULTIMATE, this leads to the fact that there are two characters named "Roy" in the Super Smash Bros series. (NOTE: Just like SMASH 4 and ULTIMATE, in ULTIMATE DELUXE, there are two characters named Roy.) Coins are only used for continues. And if you ask me how many coins you can own up to in this game, you can only up to 10,000. Of course, if you do Classic on Easy or Normal with any character, the announcer (on the "Congratulations" screen) says, "CONGRATULATIONS!". But if you do it on Hard with any character, he (on the "Congratulations" screen) says, "PERFECTO! INREDIBLE!".
For Classic, these are the values for continues:
    1. Easy - 5 coins
    2. Normal - 10 coins
    3. Hard - 20 coins
Like SMASH 4 and ULTIMATE, the game ULTIMATE DELUXE does not recognize the Koopalings (separate from Bowser Jr) and Alex, Zombie, and Enderman (separate from Steve) as separate characters. So the Koopalings's trophies and Steve's separate trophies (trophies of Alex, Zombie, and Enderman) are unlocked at the same time as Bowser Jr and Steve. (That is, for doing Classic on Easy or Normal with them.) Same thing for their Final Smash trophies (for doing Classic on Hard with them).
As for ULTIMATE DELUXE, the game depicts the Koopalings (as Bowser Jr's alternate colors) as how Mario fights them in Super Mario Bros 3. Bowser Jr and Koopalings's order of alternate colors (starting from Bowser Jr) go as Bowser Jr (1ST COLOR), Larry (2ND COLOR), Morton (3RD COLOR), Wendy (4TH COLOR), Iggy (5TH COLOR), Roy (6TH COLOR), Lemmy (7TH COLOR), and Ludwig (8TH COLOR). But minus Bowser Jr, the Koopalings are depicted as they are fought from Super Mario Bros 3.
This is what Birdo's Classic route should look like (titled "Cretaceous Journey" --and similar to Yoshi's Classic, Birdo fights opponents that are prehistoric dinosaurs):
    Stage 1: Pokemon Trainer
    Stage 2: Giant Ridley
    Stage 3: King K. Rool
Stage 4: The Yoshi Team (NOTE: Birdo fights a team of 8 Yoshis --green, red, dark blue, yellow, light blue, pink, purple, and Wooly.)
Stage 5: The Koopalings (Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig)
    Stage 6: Bowser
    Bonus Stage
    Stage 7: Rathalos
For Stage 5: Koopalings, just like Mario, Birdo fights the Koopalings in the same order as Mario fights them in Super Mario Bros 3. (That is, despite the fact that Birdo appears in Super Mario Bros 2 and not Super Mario Bros 3.) But since the Koopalings first appeared in Super Mario Bros 3, Birdo (like Mario) fights them in the same order as they are fought in Super Mario Bros 3.
Birdo is the second real dinosaur character that appears as a playable character in the Super Smash Bros series. That is, after Yoshi. While Yoshi's Classic route (in both ULTIMATE and ULTIMATE DELUXE) is known as "Jurassic Journey" (reference to the Jurassic period), Birdo's (in ULTIMATE DELUXE) is known as "Cretaceous Journey" (reference to the Cretaceous period).

As for Assist Trophy characters, all the Assist Trophy characters (returning from ULTIMATE --except for Waluigi) will return. (Yes, the previous 58 will return.)
But here are some new Assist Trophy characters we should have:
    1. Kamek (from the Yoshi's Island universe)
    2. Toadies (from the Yoshi's Island universe)
    3. King Boo (from the Super Mario Bros universe)
    Here are the others:
    SUPER MARIO BROS
    1. Koopa
    2. Paratroopa
    3. Goomba
    4. Lakitu
    5. Dry Bones
    THE LEGEND OF ZELDA
    1. Re-Dead
    2. Like-Like
    3. Octorok
    ICE CLIMBER
    1. Topi
    2. Polar Bear
    SONIC THE HEDGEHOG
    1. Dr. Eggman
    SUPER MONKEY BALL
    1. Dr. Bad-Boon
    TY THE TASMANIAN TIGER
    1. Boss Cass
    ANIMAL CROSSING
    1. Redd
Altogether, there will be 75 Assist Trophy characters. And yes, ULTIMATE DELUXE is the first installment to introduce Assist Trophy characters from the Yoshi's Island universe. Kamek AND Toadies are the first two characters from the Yoshi's Island universe to be introduced as an Assist Trophy character. That is because he first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (and Super Mario Advanced 3: Yoshi's Island --the GBA version of "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island"). (That is, making ULTIMATE DELUXE being the first installment in the Smash series to introduce characters from the Yoshi's Island universe to be Assist Trophy characters. But again, there will be no newcomers from the Yoshi's Island nor F-Zero universes. I mean, "The Yoshi's Island and F-Zero universes are going to always have sole characters in every new installment of the Smash series". That has been around since the original Super Smash Bros.) Altogether, there are 17 new Assist Trophy characters.
For Sound Test, all songs from the 49 fighter based universes will return. But then Super Monkey Ball and Sonic the Hedgehog will count as "50" and "51" for a total of 51 universes. Now there are 51 fighter based universes altogether. There will be 51 universes (41 fighter based and 10 regarding to "Other" --labeled under "Sound Test"). So no new secondary universes will be introduced.
Waluigi appears as an Ultimate Deluxe newcomer in ULTIMATE DELUXE. But despite being from the Super Mario Bros universe, he will instead use the Wario Ware universe victory theme. (That is, instead of the normal or villains Super Mario Bros victory theme.) That is because he and Wario have been default partners in the Mario sub series games. The guaranteed Mario newcomer character (and to use the real Super Mario Bros victory theme) is Birdo. (NOTE: Birdo will use the normal Super Mario Bros victory theme and not the villains one.) And like King Dedede (whose sprite will not appear on N64 Dream Land and not appear as a background character if King Dedede is present in the match --VS. Mode or Classic), Birdo's sprite will not appear on Mushroom Kingdom II (and not appear as a stage hazard character) if she (Birdo) is present in the match (VS. Mode or Classic). (NOTE: That is, regarding with King Dedede from the Kirby universe AND Birdo from the Super Mario Bros universe.) Despite using the Wario Ware universe victory theme for Waluigi, but the Super Mario Bros one for Birdo, Waluigi and Birdo are the two Ultimate Deluxe newcomers from the Super Mario Bros universe. But Birdo is the one that uses the Super Mario Bros victory theme. (That is, making her the guaranteed Super Mario Bros universe newcomer if Waluigi is considered to be from the Wario Ware universe.) Only BRAWL skipped having a newcomer from the Super Mario Bros universe. That is true. But SMASH 4 introduced Rosalina and Bowser Jr (with the Koopalings --Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig), while ULTIMATE introduced Daisy and Piranha Plant. And if Waluigi (newcomer for ULTIMATE DELUXE) is considered from the Wario Ware universe (as he shares the same victory theme with Wario --which is the Wario Ware victory theme), Birdo is the guaranteed newcomer from the Super Mario Bros universe. That is, making it at least one newcomer from the Super Mario Bros universe. (That is, Waluigi and the other characters from the Mario sub universes are counted --including the Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong, and Wario Ware universes.) All 89 veteran characters return. And yes, they are starter characters. So ULTIMATE DELUXE will be the first installment in the Smash series to not have DLC characters or stages.
But still, if Waluigi is considered from the Wario Ware universe and if you do not count him (Waluigi) and the other characters from the Mario sub universes (Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong, and Wario Ware), Birdo is the guaranteed Super Mario Bros universe newcomer. That is, making ULTIMATE DELUXE having at least one full Super Mario Bros universe newcomer.
The real date for ULTIMATE DELUXE should be 2028. Also, ULTIMATE DELUXE will be the second installment in the series to have no characters cut from any previous installment (after ULTIMATE). (NOTE: And yes, there will be at least one character from the Super Mario Bros universe. That is, Birdo.) Final Smashes will remain unchanged from ULTIMATE (that being, a single move, then returning the player and their character/characters to proper gameplay). That is, including Giga Bowser's Giga Bowser Punch and Little Mac's Giga Mac Rush. Waluigi will receive the Final Smash Waluigi Man (which will be identical to Wario's Wario Man). Waluigi's credits theme will be "Waluigi Pinball" (which normally plays on Figure 8 Circuit). And he will share the same victory theme as Wario's. But Birdo (the one guaranteed ULTIMATE DELUXE newcomer from the Super Mario Bros universe), she will use the normal "Super Mario Bros" victory theme (sharing with Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, and Dr. Mario). And Dry Bowser (Bowser's alt. color) will use the "Super Mario Bros Villains" victory theme (sharing with Bowser, Bowser Jr and the Koopalings, and Piranha Plant).
As for the controller input, the Nintendo Gamecube Adapter (for the Switch 2) is going to be compatible with all games just like the Switch family.

"Event Match" should return in SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE.
For "Event Match", all BASE GAME characters will have an assigned event (except for Mii Fighters and Sportsmate Fighters --who also won't be playable on 1 player modes). There will be 99 events (the first 97 events will have an assigned character (including Waluigi and Birdo), but only the final 2 events will allow the player to choose any character). (NOTE: Switched-in characters such as Koopalings, Alph, and Steve's gang won't be assigned characters. And if this mode is played in co-op, P2 uses the same character as P1 in a lighter colored tint. It will no longer be the first alternate color for P2. That is because some of the characters since SMASH 4 do not use alternate colors like Bowser Jr. So one of the examples are, P2 uses Bowser Jr in a lighter colored tint for Bowser's Jr's event.) That is, similar to Team Battles from the first 3 installments. The only exception is the final 2 events (that being, if P1 and P2 are both the same character, P1 can use the character's default costume while P2 can use the character's first alternate costume). The first event even starts with Mario (with the opponent being Bowser). So Event 1 should be called "Event 1: Trouble King and Trouble Prince" (with the opponents being Bowser and Bowser Jr). (NOTE: Just like in MELEE and BRAWL, Mario is the only character to have two events in all games with "Event Match". So he should have two assigned events.) This event mimics the "Trouble King" events from MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4 (Event 1: Trouble King, Event 1: Two Trouble Kings/Co-Op Event 1: Two Trouble Kings, AND The Original Heavyweights). Mario's second assigned event should be similar to MELEE's Event 19: Peach's Peril (this time called "Peach is in Peril Again!"). Like Event 19: Peach's Peril, the player (Mario) and Peach have one stock. Bowser and Bowser Jr are the opponents and both opponents are infinite. And both the player (Mario) and Peach have 1 minute to survive. Peach is only set to "walk" (like in "Training Mode"). And she does not attack Bowser and Bowser Jr, except for up special to get back on to the stage. And again, the high score is based with the number of times that the player is able to KO Bowser and/or Bowser Jr. (NOTE: All the events grant the player one or two stocks. The only exception will be Pokemon Trainer who will have 3 stocks --like the BRAWL events that have Pokemon Trainer as the assigned character. The reason why Pokemon Trainer's assigned event should have 3 stocks is because like the "Pokemon Trainer" events from BRAWL, KO'd Pokemon is eliminated and when Pokemon Trainer has one Pokemon remaining, he can't use "Pokemon Change".) Event 98 should be called "All the Villains" (with all the villain characters to be fought --from SMASH 64, MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, ULTIMATE, and ULTIMATE DELUXE). That should be a "Multi-Man" scenario battle. Then Event 99 should be called "Fight All Characters" (to fight all the characters except for Mii Fighters and Sportsmate Fighters). This is similar to the final co-op events from BRAWL and SMASH 4 (that being, Co-Op Event 21: The True All Star Battle AND The Ultimate Battle). (NOTE: And yes, like in MELEE and BRAWL, all events in ULTIMATE DELUXE are going to be numbered. Yes, numbered from 1 through 98.) And yes, all events have descriptions. By extension, not counting SMASH 64 and ULTIMATE (which do not have "Event Match"), ULTIMATE DELUXE is the first game where the player reads the name of the event and says the description (making the announcer's fourth dialogue in the series overall --fourth after the "50 Fact Extravaganza" from SMASH 4 and the trailers for both ULTIMATE and ULTIMATE DELUXE). That is, before selecting the difficulty. (NOTE: Like BRAWL and SMASH 4, events in ULTIMATE DELUXE have 3 difficulties --Easy, Normal, and Hard.) If the player is on the final two events, the announcer (like always) says, "Choose your character!" (when taken to the character select screen to choose your character). (NOTE: But still Xander Mobus is reused as the announcer in ULTIMATE DELUXE, as the well as the English voice actor of both Master Hand and Crazy Hand. This makes Xander Mobus the fourth and onward announcer in the Smash series. That is because the previous three announcers Jeff Manning, Dean Harrington, and Pat Cashman were in the 50's when they were the announcers for SMASH 64, MELEE, and BRAWL --the first three installments.)
Mario (from the Super Mario Bros universe) AND Link (from the Legend of Zelda universe) will be the only two characters to have two assigned events. Event 1: Trouble King and Trouble Prince will be Mario, Event 2: Link Defends Zelda will be Link, Event 18: Brawl Until Dark Link Drops will be Link, AND Event 19: Peach is in Peril Again will be Mario. These 4 events will be similar to the MELEE events Event 1: Trouble King, Event 29: Triforce Gathering, Event 18: Link's Adventure, AND Event 19: Peach's Peril. Out of these 4, three of them are in the same order as MELEE's events. But Event 2: Link Defends Zelda (similar to Event 29: Triforce Gathering) is going to be the 2nd event instead. And like BRAWL's Event 18: Dark Link Duel, in Ultimate Deluxe's Event 18: Brawl Until Dark Link Drops, Link and Dark Link each have 300 HP.
Like MELEE's Event Match, recovery items do not appear. That is, since Event Match is too powerful. However, Ness and Lucas's PSI Magnet AND Mr. Game and Watch's Judgement 7 can still recover damage. Mr. Game and Watch will drop a Food item to recover damage. Smash Balls do not appear, so Final Smashes do not occur, except for specific events which require a Final Smash. Also the final event Event 99: Fight All Characters, that event has no items to appear. The event's description should say, "Fight all the base game characters in Super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe with no spare stocks and no items. It's endless, but a suitable final battle". Two Pikachus (if played in co-op) are the best characters for this event. And if you want to know why, it is because P1 and P2 should constantly use the down special move to KO all the characters. (NOTE: Event 98: The Final Battle is similar to the penultimate event from MELEE AND the penultimate solo and co-op events from BRAWL. The reason why is the event plays the same song Final Destination-MELEE, the stage takes place on a "Final Destination" stage, AND the player fights all the characters that are villains similar to the penultimate solo and co-op events from BRAWL. And Event 99: Fight All Characters is similar to the final co-op events from BRAWL AND SMASH 4. The reason why is because both players have one stock AND the stage is on a "Battlefield" stage.) Interestingly, the last event with an assigned character is TY the Tasmanian Tiger. That is, since most players unlock him as the last unlockable character. So Event 96 should have Aiai (from the Super Monkey Ball universe) as the assigned character, while Event 97 should be TY the Tasmanian Tiger.
Events 1, 19, 98, and 99 are the only four events in Event Match which take place on a Smash universe stage. So Event 1: Trouble King and Trouble Prince uses Battlefield-SSBU (and plays the song "Super Smash Bros Ultimate Main Theme"). The song "Super Smash Bros Ultimate Main Theme" (which plays on Ultimate Deluxe's main menu) is not used in any other event until the final event Event 99: Fight All Characters (which also takes place on Battlefield-SSBUD). In this way, these two events serve as bookends of this mode. The penultimate event Event 98: All the Villains uses Final Destination-SSBUD and (like the penultimate events from MELEE and BRAWL) plays the song "Final Destination-MELEE". (NOTE: The reason why the events go from numbers 1 through 99 is because if you are in the numbers that are the 90's, you can stop at a random number if you are limiting your counting. So on "Event Match", it is going to be numbers 1 through 99.)

Trophies in Ultimate Deluxe should return, but no unique trophies (due to the number of universes and playable characters).
This is how you unlock the trophies (specific to Classic):
    1. Unlock the Master Hand Trophy - Complete Classic on Easy.
    2. Unlock the Crazy Hand Trophy - Complete Classic on Normal.
    3. Unlock the Giga Bowser (boss form) Trophy - Complete Classic on Hard. (NOTE: This should not be confused with the Giga Bowser Punch Final Smash trophy which is unlocked for doing Classic on Hard with Bowser.)
    4. Unlock the Galleom Trophy - Complete Classic with no continues.
    5. Unlock the Ganon Trophy - Complete Classic with 10 different characters.
    6. Unlock the Marx Trophy - Complete Classic with 20 different characters.
    7. Unlock the Dracula Trophy - Complete Classic with all characters. (NOTE: This can be done by doing Classic on any difficulty with all characters.)
    8. Unlock the Rathalos Trophy - Collect normal trophies for all characters. (NOTE: This must be done by doing Classic on Easy or Normal with all characters.)
    9. Unlock the Galeem Trophy - Complete Final Smash trophies for all characters. (NOTE: This must be done by doing Classic on Hard with all characters.)
This is how unlock the trophies (specific to Mob Smash):
    1. Unlock the Mii Fighters Trophy - Complete the 100 Man Smash.
    2. Unlock the Sportsmate Fighters Trophy - Defeat at least 1 enemy in Cruel Smash.
Only 10 Man Smash, Century Smash, and Cruel Smash will return in Mob Smash. All Star Smash shouldn't, in favor of this (and normal All Star) being succeeded by the final event of Event Match. (That is, Event 99: Fight All Characters.)
This is how to unlock the trophies (specific to Home Run Contest):
    1. Unlock the Sandbag Trophy - Use all characters at least once in Home Run Contest.
This is how to unlock the trophies (specific to Event Match):
    1. Unlock the Master Core Trophy - Complete the Event 98: All the Villains. (NOTE: Master Core should appear in ULTIMATE DELUXE as a trophy. That is, as well as his battle music from SMASH 4 to play on the stage Final Destination-SSBUD.)
    2. Unlock the Dharkon Trophy - Complete the Event 99: Fight All Characters.
This is how to unlock the trophies (specific to VS. Mode):
    1. Unlock the Toad Trophy - Play VS. Mode for 20 hours. (NOTE: This trophy is unlocked at the same time as the unlockable character Aiai from the Super Monkey Ball universe.)
    2. Unlock the Toadette Trophy - Play 1,000 VS. Mode matches. (NOTE: This is similar to unlocking the Food trophy from MELEE. Special Rules allowed)
There are 102 character trophies and 102 Final Smash trophies (if you count the Koopaling trophies and Final Smash trophies Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig --and they are unlocked at the same time as Bowser Jr's. Pokemon Trainer has one normal and one Final Smash trophy to collect. And yes, the male and female Pokemon Trainers are unlocked at the same time, as are the male and female Villager and Wii Fit Trainer. That is, for both normal and Final Smash trophies. Only Pokemon Trainer will be a transformation character. Pyra and Myrtha will be separate characters like Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Zelda, and Sheik. Because of this, "transformation" is no longer Pyra and Myrtha's down special attack. All of Steve's "gang" trophies and Final Smash trophies are going to be unlocked the same time as Steve.) Plus, there are 14 trophies for 1 player modes and 2 specific to VS. Mode (VS. Mode matches). So altogether, there will be 220 generic trophies. No "Trophy Launcher" for random trophies. That is gone, due to the number of universes in Ultimate Deluxe. The only sub-modes that should appear for GAMES AND MORE are Classic, Event Match, Mob Smash, Home Run Contest, and Training. But due to the number of trophies in this game, challenges will not return (making Ultimate Deluxe being the third game after Smash 64 and MELEE to not have challenges as BRAWL, Smash 4, and Ultimate does). And yes, all 220 trophies have in-game descriptions (just like in MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4). (NOTE: As for Toad and Toadette, in addition to their appearances of being Peach and Daisy's neutral special move, they also make an appearance as a collectible trophy. They are also part of Kirby's neutral special move when he gets a copy ability from Peach and/or Daisy.)
As for the character Pokemon Trainer, beginning with Ultimate Deluxe, this leaves the character Pokemon Trainer to be a transformation character in ALL GAMES. (That is, by using the down special move --Pokemon Change.) And yes, in the final event (Event 99: Fight All Characters), you are going to fight all 3 of Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon (Ivysaur, Charizard, and Squirtle) without any functionality changes. Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Zelda, Sheik, Pyra, and Myrtha are going to be fought separately. But other characters will not be fought (such as the Koopalings and Steve's gang). Only the male Pokemon Trainer, male Villager, and female Wii Fit Trainer will be fought (but you will still KO all 3 of Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon). In Event 99: Fight All Characters, you defeat all non-Mii Fighter and non-Sportsmate Fighter characters (playable in the game). Like the final co-op events (from BRAWL and Smash 4) you get 1 stock with no spare stocks. (NOTE: As ALL events, ALL events grant the player or 2 players in co-op one or two stocks. The exception is Pokemon Trainer's event, similar to the Pokemon Trainer events from BRAWL where he has 3 stocks. That is because Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon gets eliminated when one Pokemon is KO'd.) The penultimate event (Event 98: All the Villains) has opponents that are villain characters (discounting Mii Fighters and Sportsmate Fighters). And the player (or 2 players in co-op) get 2 stocks. (NOTE: Unlike in MELEE and BRAWL, the penultimate event does not have the word "Final" in its title. Instead, it is known as "Event 98: All the Villains". But it still takes place on Final Destination, plays the same song "Final Destination-MELEE", and is the penultimate event.)
Event Match is the only one unlockable 1 player mode. And to unlock Event Match, you must unlock all the unlockable characters. The first 98 events are available from the start. But if you unlock and complete all other 98 events, you unlock the secret 99th event (that is, Event 99: Fight All Characters). And the said event Event 99: Fight All Characters has harder enemies. Co-op events (unlike in BRAWL and Smash 4) is no longer its own separate mode. And instead, all normal 99 events allow 2 players to join.
All events (on Event Match) will be numbered (like in MELEE and BRAWL). That is, and this time, numbers 1 through 99. Like the BRAWL and Smash 4 versions, it will have traditional difficulty setting (Easy, Normal, and Hard). Since you are forced to use nearly every character at least once, the first 97 events will have assigned characters, but the final 2 events will allow you to choose any character.
Let's take the first event for one example. The first event should be Event 1: Trouble King and Trouble Prince. This mimics the "Trouble King" events and "The Original Heavyweights" from MELEE, BRAWL, and Smash 4. That is, since Mario is the assigned character and one of the opponents is Bowser. Like Event 1: Trouble King and Co-Op Event 1: Two Trouble Kings, the player has 2 stocks. Bowser and Bowser Jr also have 2 stocks. So the player (as Mario) fights Bowser and Bowser Jr with 2 stocks each. Both Bowser and Bowser Jr (on all 3 difficulties --Easy, Normal, and Hard), their A.I level is on Level 2. That event is extremely easy. And yes, similar to Event 1: Trouble King (the first event in MELEE), the stage is Battlefield (a Super Smash Bros universe stage) AND plays the same song. That is, "Multi Man MELEE 2".

Look, I love ultimate. The pacing and move sets really makes the game feel like a fast paced fighter. It’s the best installment we’ve had to date. Add character prestige’s. Once you level up a character enough, you can prestige and unlock a skin or variant of your character. 3-5 prestige’s per character would be fantastic and give players a reason to grind. Online could also use something like a season pass that gives new rewards like stages and skins too. When seasons end, the loot could go on sale for old players to pick up. Players get things to grind for/earn. The companies profit. I’d like to see ranked have rewards too for achieving the max rank. Smash doesn’t really have a reason to grind. So these are my ideas worth implementing into smash to keep a larger player base while promoting grindable profitable gameplay for both parties.

Ok here’s what I think he should do for the next game
Sonic: change his moveset so he doesn’t always spin. Seriously he has a combat moveset in both Frontiers and Fighters.
Mario: Change his FLUDD to Cappy. Like when was the last time FLUDD was relevant? Cappy’s more recent
Add a couple more Sonic characters like Shadow or Amy or Knuckles.
Less Sword Fighters. It’s a game about beating up opponents not hacking n slashing.
    Maybe some more Pokemon Trainers?
Crash Bandicoot and Rayman should be in the game too.
    WALUIGI!

With "Event Match" returning (from ULTIMATE), All Star should be succeeded by just the final event in ULTIMATE DELUXE. (That is, namely Event 99: Fight All Characters.) Let's not have All Star Smash return as a multi man mode.
These are the multi man modes (or "Mob Smash") that should return:
    1. Century Smash
    2. 10 Man Smash
    3. Cruel Smash
Here are the other modes for GAMES AND MORE:
    1. Classic
    2. Training
    3. Home Run Contest
    4. Event Match (must first be unlocked --that is, by unlocking all of the unlockable characters)
    5. Challengers Approach
These are the modes for VS. MODE:
    1. Smash (Time, Stock, Stamina, and Team)
    2. Special Smash (Custom Smash, Smashdown, and Super Sudden Death)
    3. Tourney
    4. Rotation (returning from BRAWL)
And these are the modes for VAULT:
    1. Masterpieces
    2. Sounds
    3. Replays
    4. Records
    5. Trophies
    6. Movies
There are no unlockable songs. Ultimate Deluxe's elements should be VS. MODE, GAMES AND MORE, and VAULT.
There will be no unique trophies. Trophies will only be unlockable. As a result, challenges won't return. (NOTE: Doing Classic on Easy or Normal unlocks the character's normal trophy, while doing it on Hard unlocks their Final Smash trophy. That is one example.)
This is how you will unlock the unlockable characters:
So the unlockable characters order starts with Waluigi, but finishes with the third party character TY the Tasmanian Tiger. TY the Tasmanian Tiger is the last unlockable character you get in this game. Normal and Hard are the exceptions for the first 3 unlockable characters (who are unlocked through Classic) unless both Mew and Riolu are unlocked already. So Birdo is unlocked by doing Classic with Mario on any difficulty and with no continues. If you want her as the second unlockable character, you have to do it on Easy. If you unlock Aryll by doing Classic with no continues, it must be done on Easy. If you unlock Meowth by doing Classic with any character, it must be done on Easy. Because if you do it on Normal or Hard, you get Mew or Riolu. (NOTE: Interestingly, as Dr. Mario is a starter character, the unlock criteria "Complete Classic with Mario" goes to Birdo instead. Also, the sprite of Birdo will not appear as a stage hazard character on Mushroom Kingdom II if Birdo is present in the match. This is similar to how the sprite of King Dedede will not appear as a background character on N64 Dream Land if King Dedede is present in the match.) Toad will remain part of Peach's neutral special move. And for Daisy, instead of using a Blue Toad, she will use Toadette for her guard. That is, if the player presses neutral special. Then Daisy pulls out Toadette. Toad and Toadette will appear in ULTIMATE DELUXE. But only as Peach and Daisy's neutral special moves.
Unlockable characters will also go back to having unique unlock criteria (like previous installments --SMASH 64, MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4). That is, since in ULTIMATE DELUXE and just like in the first 4 installments (SMASH 64, MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4) there is going to be more starter characters than unlockables. Having more unlockables than starters is just going to be there for one game here. That is, for just ULTIMATE. But ULTIMATE DELUXE will have more starters than unlockables. And stage selection will go back to doing its SMASH 64, MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4 state. That is, the character select screen first, then the stage selection screen.
In the final event (Event 98: Fight All Characters), all the characters are random. The only two exceptions will be Aiai (who is the penultimate character) and TY the Tasmanian Tiger (who is the last one). In this event, you have to KO all the base game characters in the game.
Classic remains unchanged from ULTIMATE. However, the only changes are bosses have 300 HP (and back to normal stamina) regardless of difficulty, the mode uses traditional difficulties (Easy, Normal, and Hard), and stocks can be chosen between one and five again. Traditional difficulty setting is used on both Classic AND Event Match. However, unlike the previous installments (SMASH 64, MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE), icons for ULTIMATE DELUXE use books for difficulties. Easy is 1 green book, Normal is 2 blue books, and Hard is 3 purple books. However, the high score depicts the completed difficulty as a colored Smash logo (green for Easy, blue for Normal, and purple for Hard).
The English announcer and voice actor of both Master Hand and Crazy Hand (like ULTIMATE) will reuse the same person. That is, Xander Mobus. The enemy team will be Sportsmate Fighters (Sportsmates from Nintendo Switch Sports). (NOTE: Also, all the Smash modes will allow 8 players to join. 8 Player Smash is again not a separate mode --similar to ULTIMATE.) The character portraits for all the veterans (at 89) will reuse the designs from ULTIMATE. Only the ULTIMATE DELUXE newcomers will have new designs. (NOTE: Unique to Mario and Luigi, since Waluigi is a playable character, Mario and Luigi will no longer use their Waluigi based costume. Mario will still get back his dark blue costume from "Donkey Kong-1986" where he wore a blue cap, a blue shirt, and red overalls. See in list).
These are the alt. colors for the seven characters Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Link, Young Link, Toon Link, and Dark Link:
    1. MARIO - Red (default), Striped, Light Blue, Brown, Green, Dark Blue (consisting of a dark blue cap, a dark blue shirt, and red overalls), Yellow (Builder Mario), and White (Wedding Mario)
    2. LUIGI - Green (default), Orange, Red, Light Blue, White (Fire Luigi), Dark Yellow (Builder Luigi), Dark Blue, Light Yellow
    3. BOWSER - Standard (default), Dry Bowser (replaces his black costume from MELEE, BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE), Yellow, Green, Gray, Orange, Red, and Blue
    4. LINK - Blue (default), Green, Red, Gray, Indigo, Teal, White, and Black (not Dark Link, but the costume from MELEE)
    5. TOON LINK - Green (default), Red, Dark Blue, Purple, Brown, Outset Link (replaces "Dark Link" outfit), Gray, and Teal
    6. YOUNG LINK - Green (default), Red, Dark Blue, White, Pink, Light Blue, Orange, and Black (not Dark Link, but the costume from MELEE)
    7. DARK LINK - Red Eyes (default), Green Eyes, Yellow Eyes, Blue Eyes, Indigo Eyes, Lavender Eyes, Teal Eyes, and White Eyes (NOTE: Except for the eyes, his whole body whole be colored black, but having a face --just like Link's former "Dark Link" costume was from BRAWL, SMASH 4, and ULTIMATE.)
As a result, Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Link, Young Link, and Toon Link are going to be the six characters overall whose alternate colors change. And yes, we again have 2 characters named Roy (that is, Roy from the Fire Emblem universe AND the Koopaling Roy Koopa from the Mario universe). Luigi's Waluigi outfit will be removed to make room for his Builder Luigi outfit (from the "Super Mario Maker" series). As for Mario, his Waluigi outfit will be removed. But he will be given back his outfit from Donkey Kong-1986 (after being absent for 2 installments --SMASH 4 and ULTIMATE). For Bowser, his black costume (from MELEE, BRAWL, and SMASH 4) should be removed. That is, to make room for his "Dry Bowser" costume. So his white alternate color should depict him as Dry Bowser. Dry Bowser will be playable for the first time. But only as Bowser's alternate colors. The remaining three characters Link, Young Link, and Toon Link got their "Dark Link" costumes removed. And that is because Dark Link is now a playable character. So Link and Young Link were given back their black alt. colors (from MELEE). And Toon Link's "Dark Link" costume was removed to make room for his "Outset Link" costume. Only Zelda, Sheik, and Ganondorf kept their "Dark Link" costumes for their black costume. (NOTE: As for Peach from the Mario universe, she again no longer has her Daisy based costume because Daisy is a playable character.)
ULTIMATE DELUXE will also be the second installment (after SMASH 4) where all the characters from Smash 64's "Original 12" are available from the start. So you will not need to unlock Ness, Luigi, Jigglypuff, or C.Falcon. But Waluigi, Birdo, Aryll, Meowth, Mew, Riolu, Medusa, Viridi, Aiai, and TY the Tasmanian Tiger will all be unlockable characters. (NOTE: ULTIMATE DELUXE will have one newcomer in the base game to be a starter. That is, Dark Link.) Without including Sportsmate Fighters, but including Mii Fighters (only playable in VS. Mode), there will be 90 starters and 10 unlockables. That is, for a total of 100 playable characters.

The new installment of the Super Smash Bros series (yes, SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE) should be released in 2028. That is, when the Switch 2 is released in Mar. 25, 2025. Now because I have the newcomers set Dark Link, Waluigi, Birdo, Aryll, Meowth, Mew, Riolu, Medusa, Viridi, Aiai, TY the Tasmanian Tiger, AND Nintendo Switch Sports's Sportsmate Fighters, all of the playable protagonists from the Mario Party series are going to be playable characters for the first time. That is, including Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong (who started with SMASH 64), Peach (who started with MELEE), Wario and Diddy Kong (who started with BRAWL), Rosalina (who started with SMASH 4), Daisy (who started with SMASH ULTIMATE), and now Waluigi and Birdo (whose first playable appearance in the Smash series is SMASH ULTIMATE DELUXE). (NOTE: There will be 100 characters in the base game and 3 characters that can be created. That is, Nintendo Switch Sports's Sportsmate Fighters. There will be 100 characters in the base game --90 starters and 10 unlockables.)
And yes, not only should MASTERPIECES return to the VAULT. But also, I want the original Super Smash Bros to be one of the playable demos. Remember though, MASTERPIECES only allow you to play demos of retro titles. In SMASH ULTIMATE DELUXE, the full version of the retro titles can be purchased for the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online. (NOTE: The conclusion will give the user a link to the Switch 2's Nintendo EShop Channel where they can purchase it for the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online.)
    The conclusion should state this:
"Time's up! We hope that you enjoyed the demo! The full version can be purchased for the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online. You can jump to the Switch 2's Nintendo EShop Channel page for details. You are going to then connect to the internet".
But this is only for Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, AND Nintendo 64 titles (yes, including Super Smash Bros 64 --being one of the 3 Nintendo 64 demos). (NOTE: The 3 Nintendo 64 demos are Super Smash Bros 64, Star Fox 64, AND The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.)
The conclusion (for Nintendo Game Boy, Nintendo Game Boy Color, Nintendo Game Boy Advanced, AND Nintendo 3DS demos --like Super Smash Bros for 3DS) should state something like:
"Time's up! We hope that you enjoyed the demo! The full version can be purchased for the Switch 2 Lite's Nintendo EShop Channel. If you own a Nintendo Switch 2 Lite system, you can buy it from the Switch 2 Lite's Nintendo EShop Channel".
The Switch 2 will offer retro titles from the NES, Super Nintendo, and N64 (as it will be a home console). The Switch 2 Lite (which is a handheld) will offer retro titles from the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advanced, DS, and 3DS (including the 3DS version of SMASH 4). With the exception of MELEE and BRAWL (but the inclusion of SMASH 64), the Switch 2 will be able to play nearly all previous Smash series games. That is, SMASH 64 and the 3DS version of SMASH 4 (through the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online), SMASH ULTIMATE (as the Switch 2 will be compatible with Switch --yes, including the Nintendo Gamecube Adapter for all games), and SMASH ULTIMATE DELUXE. So you can get 4 other Smash series games on this system (SMASH 64, SMASH 4, SMASH ULTIMATE, and SMASH ULTIMATE DELUXE). (NOTE: The Switch 2 will also be able to run SMASH ULTIMATE DELUXE.) But it is too bad you can no longer get MELEE and/or BRAWL. Because the Switch 2 (like the Switch) is not compatible with Wii and Wii U.
In any case, the Switch 2 and Switch 2 Lite are going to be the successor to the Switch family.

We should get a new installment in the Super Smash Bros series every three to ten years. (I mean, "Every time there is a new home console developed by Nintendo".)
Not counting VC and/or Nintendo Switch Online, these are the release dates for ALL the games in the Super Smash Bros series (and now to SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE):
      1. Super Smash Bros N64 - Apr. 26, 1999
      2. Super Smash Bros MELEE - Dec. 3, 2001
      3. Super Smash Bros BRAWL - Mar. 9, 2008
      4. Super Smash Bros for 3DS - Sept. 13, 2014
      5. Super Smash Bros for Wii U - Nov. 21, 2014
      6. Super Smash Bros Ultimate - Dec. 3, 2018
      7. Super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe - Fall or December 2028
MELEE came out two years after SMASH 64, BRAWL came out seven years after MELEE, SMASH 4 came out six years after BRAWL, and ULTIMATE came out four years after SMASH 4. So I think ULTIMATE DELUXE should come out ten years after ULTIMATE.
Now ULTIMATE DELUXE should be the seventh installment in the Super Smash Bros series (seventh if both versions of SMASH 4 are counted as two games).

    • @jacobchang7165
      @jacobchang7165 Před 13 dny

Well, Benjamin Nathan? I already have the "base game characters" set (newcomers Dark Link, Waluigi, Birdo, Aryll, Meowth, Mew, Riolu, Medusa, Viridi, Aiai, and TY the Tasmanian Tiger). Nintendo Switch Sports's Sportsmate Fighters can only be created. So there will be 100 characters in the base game (89 returning from Ultimate and the 11 base game newcomers --Dark Link a starter and the other 10 unlockables). Nintendo Switch Sports's Sportsmate Fighters will only have to be created to make it 103. (NOTE: This means for EVENT MATCH which should return in the game, all 94 base game characters will have an assigned event.)
You never said anything about DLC stages. So I do not think there should be any unlockable or DLC stages. With the exception of Super Smash Bros universe stages, NO stages will be cut. But about the "DLC character" subject, if the 3 DLC packs come, this will make Ultimate Deluxe be the second installment in the Super Smash Bros series to have more characters than stages. That is, after Smash 64.
What newcomers can you think about for Ultimate Deluxe's DLC? (NOTE: I already have the base game characters set. I mean, "For the newcomers". And Waluigi and Birdo should definitely come. One of the third party characters should be TY the Tasmanian Tiger. I definitely want that. He has not been a playable character since BRAWL, Smash 4, and Ultimate. So Ultimate Deluxe should make the third party character TY the Tasmanian Tiger his first playable appearance in the Smash series.)
So far, I have talked about (IN THIS COMMENT):
      1. Nintendo Switch Sports's Sportsmate Fighters
      2. Waluigi
      3. Birdo
      4. TY the Tasmanian Tiger (as one of the third party characters)
As for Waluigi, he should share the same victory theme as his brother Wario's. That is, "Wario Ware Victory Theme" (a short piece from the Wario Ware universe). But Birdo, she should be the one guaranteed newcomer from the Super Mario Bros universe. And her victory theme should be "Super Mario Bros Victory Theme" (a short piece from the Super Mario Bros universe). So she would share the same victory theme as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, and Dr. Mario. (NOTE: Starting with MELEE, with the exception of BRAWL, there has been at least one newcomer from the Super Mario Bros universe to appear in all later installments of the series. MELEE had it Peach, Bowser, and Dr. Mario. Smash 4 had it Rosalina and Bowser Jr w/the Koopalings Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Larry. Ultimate had it Daisy and Piranha Planet. And Ultimate Deluxe should have it Waluigi and Birdo. BRAWL did not have any newcomers from the Super Mario Bros universe. And in BRAWL, it is too bad that Dr. Mario was cut. But he was just a clone of Mario. In fact, Dr. Mario he was excluded from BRAWL along with Roy, Young Link, Pichu, and Mewtwo. In BRAWL, Roy was replaced by Ike, Young Link was replaced by Toon Link, and Mewtwo was replaced by Lucario. Dr. Mario, Roy, Young Link, Pichu, and Mewtwo are the characters who didn't return in BRAWL.)

Didn't he say he was cutting some characters out for the next Smash Bros game, the ones which ain't necessary, Earthbound could be one of them like with Ness and Lucas considering they haven't had a new game for a long time plus some Fire Emblem Characters which are not needed.

No. I think all 89 characters should return (from the previous installment --yes, ULTIMATE) here in ULTIMATE DELUXE. As for the "Waluigi" subject, since Waluigi and Birdo are going to be playable characters, we are going to have all playable protagonists from the Mario Party series be playable characters in a Super Smash Bros series installment. That is, starting with ULTIMATE DELUXE. That is, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong (started with SMASH 64), Peach (started with MELEE), Wario and Diddy Kong (started with BRAWL), Rosalina (started with SMASH 4), Daisy (started with ULTIMATE), and Waluigi and Birdo (now starting with ULTIMATE DELUXE). Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, and Blooper should all be Assist Trophy characters. Toad and Toadette will remain part of Peach and Daisy's neutral special moves (Peach with Toad AND Daisy with Toadette). King Boo will also be an Assist Trophy (along with Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, and Blooper). And Spike (playable in MARIO PARTY 10) and Pom-Pom (playable in SUPER MARIO PARTY) are not going to make any appearances.
If Birdo is present in the match on the MELEE stage Mushroom Kingdom II, the sprite of Birdo (who normally appears as a stage hazard character) will not appear on the stage. This is similar to how the sprite of King Dedede (from the Kirby universe) does not appear on the stage N64 Dream Land (retro stage from the Kirby universe AND returning in ULTIMATE DELUXE from SMASH 64) if King Dedede is present in the match. That fact about King Dedede (from the Kirby universe) has been around since SMASH 4 and ULTIMATE (the part where his sprite doesn't appear on the N64 Dream Land stage if he is present in the match). And that returns in ULTIMATE DELUXE. (I mean, "The fact about King Dedede's sprite not appearing if King Dedede is present in the match".) So if Birdo (from the Super Mario Bros universe) is present in the match on the Super Mario Bros stage Mushroom Kingdom II (yes, MELEE stage), her sprite does not appear as a stage hazard character.
Birdo's Final Smash should be her spitting out giant Birdo eggs. This is going to be similar to the Mario Finale AND Dr. Mario Finale Final Smashes (used by the characters Mario and Dr. Mario). And yes, this Final Smash (like Mario's Mario Finale AND Dr. Mario's Dr. Mario Finale) is a one-move Final Smash which returns the player back to proper gameplay. This Final Smash should be known as "Birdo Egg Finale".
Interestingly, Mario and Birdo are two of the four characters who fight the Koopalings in the same order as they are fought from Super Mario Bros 3 (Larry 1ST, Morton 2ND, Wendy 3RD, Iggy 4TH, Roy 5TH, Lemmy 6TH, and Larry 7TH). Yoshi fights them in the same order as they are fought from Super Mario World (Iggy 1ST, Morton 2ND, Lemmy 3RD, Ludwig 4TH, Roy 5TH, Wendy 6TH, and Larry 7TH). And Peach, she fights them in the same order as they are fought from New Super Mario Bros U (Lemmy 1ST, Morton 2ND, Larry 3RD, Wendy 4TH, Iggy 5TH, Roy 6TH, and Ludwig 7TH). As for the Koopalings, Ludwig is indeed the only Koopaling who has been the final Koopaling boss to be fought in every Mario main series game (which has Koopalings as bosses). The only exception is Super Mario World (and its GBA reissue "Super Mario Advanced 2: Super Mario World"). Super Mario World is the only Mario main series game where Ludwig is not the final Koopaling boss.

The new installment should be called SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE.
First, let's start off with "Masterpieces" (which has been under "Data" in both SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL and SUPER SMASH BROS 4). This is going to return in Ultimate Deluxe's Vault. (NOTE: There are demos which are going be released on Nintendo Switch Online. This includes retro games from the NES, Super Nintendo, N64, and Game Boy/Game Boy Color. Yes, including the original Super Smash Bros. The Switch 2 will include Nintendo Switch Online games from the NES, Super Nintendo, and N64. However, the Switch 2 Lite as a handheld will include Nintendo Switch Online games from the NES, Super Nintendo, Game Boy/Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advanced, and DS.) Masterpieces (in SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE DELUXE) are intended to promote the Nintendo Switch Online version of retro games. (That is, Nintendo Switch Online for the Nintendo Switch 2 system.) Unlike BRAWL and SMASH 4, all 26 demos are going to be 30 minutes long. There will be 13 Nintendo Entertainment System demos, 7 Super Nintendo Entertainment System ones, 3 Nintendo 64 ones, 2 Nintendo Game Boy ones, and 1 Nintendo 3DS one.
These are the demos (note that the full version can be purchased for the Nintendo Switch Online --where the message gives the player a link to the Switch 2's Nintendo EShop Channel):
    1. Super Mario Bros
    2. Wrecking Crew
    3. Balloon Fight
    4. Kid Icarus
    5. The Legend of Zelda
    6. Punch Out (Featuring Mr. Dream)
    7. Donkey Kong-1986
    8. The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
    9. Mega Man 2
    10. Yoshi
    11. Kirby's Adventure
    12. Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels
    13. Pac Man
    14. Super Mario World (NOTE: Like the BRAWL and SMASH 4 versions, this starts with the Yoshi's Island 2 level.)
    15. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (new to ULTIMATE DELUXE)
    16. F-Zero
    17. Pilot Wings
    18. Super Mario Kart
    19. Super Metroid
    20. Kirby Super Star
    21. Star Fox 64
    22. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
    23. Super Smash Bros 64 (new to ULTIMATE DELUXE)
    24. Dr. Mario (Game Boy)
    25. Kirby's Dream Land (Game Boy)
    26. Super Smash Bros for 3DS (3DS)
Altogether, there will be 26 non-Japan demos. That is, with Star Fox 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Super Smash Bros 64 being the only three Nintendo 64 demos. (NOTE: Super Smash Bros for 3DS is the only Nintendo 3DS demo.) And while Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island was not released on VC for any other system, it has been released on Nintendo Switch Online for the Switch family, Switch 2, Switch 2 Lite, and onward. (NOTE: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island did not see VC release for Wii and/or Wii U. And I was really disappointed when the original version of the game did not make it to VC. It is too bad the GBA version of the game "Super Mario Advanced 3: Yoshi's Island" got the VC treatment AND saw VC release. And the original version "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island" didn't. The GBA version was released on VC for 3DS in Dec. 16, 2011 exclusive to the "Ambassador Program Release" AND on VC for Wii U in Apr. 14, 2014.)
The demo's conclusion will use this phrase (only for Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Nintendo 64 demos):
"Time's up! We hope you enjoyed the demo! The full version can be purchased for the Switch 2's Nintendo Switch Online. You can jump to the software details page on the Switch 2's Nintendo EShop Channel right now. You are going to then connect to the internet".
The demo's conclusion will use this phrase (only for Nintendo Game Boy demos AND Super Smash Bros for 3DS --the only Nintendo 3DS demo):
"Time's up! We hope you enjoyed the demo! The full version can be purchased for the Switch 2 Lite's Nintendo Switch Online. If you own a Nintendo Switch 2 Lite system, you can buy it from the Switch 2 Lite's Nintendo EShop Channel".
Unlike in SMASH 4, the brand's name is not "Virtual Console" (as the Switch family is the first later system to not use the "Virtual Console" brand for retro games). Starting with the Switch family, the Switch 2, and Switch 2 Lite, they use the brand "Nintendo Switch Online". (NOTE: I was really disappointed when VC did not return on the Switch. That is, despite the fact it was for the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS family.) So in the "end of the demo" phrase, it should say, "The full version can be purchased for the Nintendo Switch Online", instead of "The full version can be purchased for the Virtual Console" (which was used in the SMASH 4 masterpieces).
For playable characters, I honestly want Pyra and Myrtha to be separate characters. All 89 characters (with Mii Fighters as their own characters) will return in this game. For a total of 100 characters in the base game (not counting Nintendo Switch's Sportsmate Fighters --Sportsmate Brawler, Sportsmate Gunner, and Sportsmate Swordfighter which can only be created) there will be 11 newcomers. Only one newcomer will be available from the start. That will be Dark Link (from the Legend of Zelda universe). The other 10 should be unlockable. (NOTE: All universes from ULTIMATE will return. However, the only two newcomer universes will be Super Monkey Ball and TY the Tasmanian Tiger.) If Sportsmate Fighters are counted, there will be 103 characters.
Here is the full list of unlockable characters:
    1. Waluigi (NOTE: He should use the "Wario Ware" victory theme. That is, since he is Wario's default partner in the Mario Party series games.)
    2. Birdo (NOTE: This is the guaranteed "Super Mario Bros" universe newcomer. And Birdo, she should use the normal "Super Mario Bros" victory theme.)
    3. Aryll
    4. Meowth
    5. Mew
    6. Riolu
    7. Medusa
    8. Viridi
    9. Aiai
    10. TY the Tasmanian Tiger
The Super Smash Bros universe stages will be succeeded by Battlefield-SSBUD, Big Battlefield-SSBUD, Small Battlefield-SSBUD, and Final Destination-SSBUD. There will be two new stages (only from the Super Monkey Ball and TY the Tasmanian Tiger universes). All 111 stages (from ULTIMATE) will return. So this counts as 117. But since the retro stages Planet Zebes and Sector Z (from SMASH 64) and Mute City, Mushroom Kingdom-SSBM, and Poke Floats (from MELEE) will also return and be starter stages like the other 117, there will be 128 playable stages.
