- Talk’s Alex Phillips is joined by commentator at Reasoned UK, Chloe Dobbs, to discuss new guidance that states only applicants recorded female at birth or with gender recognition certificates should be considered for jobs that require women.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission sought to clarify the law for employers when a job requirement relates to sex.
Alex and Chloe also discuss news that Elon Musk is to move SpaceX and X headquarters to Texas from California, citing a new gender-identity law there as the “last straw”.

Female being the key word so naturally it excludes males
whats a female job then or a male job women have moved into what was mens jobs now they dont want others to have rights or jobs I as a born women think that women want it all these days to be equal strong then not equal and weak I honestly feel wish women would give it a bloody rest we have more choice now than ever before we want it all but moan if we cant have this that the next thing its to much now stop picking on trans people they have always been there and always will be most women are harmed by their own husbands partners in their own homes and most people are harmed killed by the people they class as normal folk so get the hell over it

This covers jobs like councillor for rape survivors at a women’s service or carer for a disabled girl.

They are referring to for example situations where women want a biological female to examine them medically. So yes I’d say a male could request a biological male doctor under the same circumstances.
Rape crisis centres are a prime example. Not a good look to make a female rape victim disclose a sexual assault to a male. Not to say the male would be responsible in any way but it can be traumatic to re live what happened to someone of the same sex as the perpetrator

Why do people do these things? People shouldn't limit jobs. Yhese no kind of person that doesn't discriminate against msle female or otherwise
There are jobs that are suitable for women only. And other jobs that are suitable for men only. Why is this controversial to you? Or do you just really, really want some men to be considered women and vice versa?
