this guy is a Terminator. ive been watching his videos for a while, i cant comprehend how he gets the gearboxes on his own! and the efficiency and smoothness of his work, i would be there for 2 days doing one job
Not only a mechanic who knows his mech but he also knows his human chassis......Great to see the knee-pads and correct posture being maintained always. Vehicle repairs are one thing, joint repairs quite another....Keep safe keeping all those motors on the road.

@@WMCS just don't wear yourself out by lifting them gearbox's back up into the engine bay. But yes, I just don't want to stop hopefully into my 70s. Inspirational vlogs bud.👌💪

Changing the clutch on my 2008 Ford Ranger. Drop the drive shaft, cross member, and transfer case, Unbolt the housing with an unbelievable number of hidden bolts, disconnect numerous wires, disconnect the master clutch, pull the housing apart, unfasten the clutch, and hope you can get the pilot bearing out with a piece of bread. reassemble everything, leaving two of the housing bolts out because impossible to get back in. I am sure I forgot something.
Now that is the stuff of legend.. I’ve actually seen someone performing the bread technique.. but for a £5 mini slide hammer which is approximately same price as the 🍞 .. you get the bearing out in approx a micro second that it takes to bake the bread ship it to shop and drive to pick up the loaf and perform the methodical surgery of tapping the bread in the hole 🕳️ while cursing the goddess of fertility to push and maybe just maybe you’ll be able to see the head popping out 😁🍻🤝🍻..
hello congratulations for your work at home on the replacement of the clutch kit I have never seen someone like you do this work with such speed I have already done this work on my personal vehicles like you on the ground without a pit or mobile lift I have had a clutch centering assembly with a different diameter tip since 1985 but personally I find that my tool still has some play for centering and is not as precise as I have observed your centering device and I like it I would like if possible to have exactly the same on the net we can see some that look like yours but I want exactly the same referred as yours can you send me the link of your supplier of this tool and his reference well done I'm like you I've always worked on the ground on cars know that I pay for it with my health for having worked like that you'll quickly get worn out when you're young you don't think about yours you don't think about our body
watched you do a vauxhall vivaro where you took the front end off . Is the traffic so different that you could avoid this process or have you simply altered your technique ? Absolutely amazing to watch you work and so fluid too . Doing four clutches in a day plus travelling must put you into the super human class . does a van with air con extend the work appreciably ?
I would always recommend torque to correct specs if unsure. If the question was addressed to me personally. No I don’t use a torque wrench. Over years experience and muscle memory can get it just right. A bit like having a conversation whilst driving and realised you have arrived

In a Ford transit mk7 2.4 jumbo would you recommend fitting a dualmass or solid flywheel?
Always DMF if it has one .. always.
Those 2.4 are built on a Volvo platform if I’m not mistaken. The kind of work that needs a lift.

Dual Mass flywheel forever a nightmare and it's damn expensive.
On average they last about 60k miles. Whilst the clutch lasts about 100k
