    Thanks Jason. Honestly I've got a lot of great shots with my A6000, I use mainly Sigma Art 19 and 30mm 2.8 lenses with it, may get the G 18-105 or the 18-135 as well... I feel I haven't even used half of it's potential yet. Honestly the basic A6000 is an amazing camera!

  • @DavePruett
    @DavePruett Před 5 lety +15

    Great tips! Just a note on the aspect ratio: if you shoot RAW, 16:9, the image will show up in your photo editor (I use LR & PS) cropped to 16:9. However, if you toggle the cropping feature in LR, the entire 3:2 image is there, so you don't lose any of the data the sensor records. If you shoot JPEG, of course, the crop gets "baked in" and the cropped pixels have all gone to pixel heaven.

    So many CZcams creators say 3 by 2 or 16 by 9 when they talk about setting the aspect ratio.
    It's RATIO. It's 3 to 2 or 16 to 9.

    Is it worth it in 2020 too or should I go for the 6100?

    • @jordanjoestar8839
      @jordanjoestar8839 Před 4 lety +2

      price-difference is obvious, but the a6000 still outperforms many 2020 competitors. Up to you if the price difference is worth it. The A6400 has real time eye tracking and 4K video, among a few other benefits. If you're just getting into photography I'd get the A6000 and work your way up once you've mastered that.

    • @MrDominik010
      @MrDominik010 Před 4 lety +1

      @@jordanjoestar8839 thank you very much for your answer! Im starting by zero.. But I'm just confused because of the fact that the 6000 has no 4k video when it's nowadays like standart. Is there much difference by just shooting photos? And do the lenses fit on all sony cameras if I make a change to a 6400 or something else from Sony?

    • @jordanjoestar8839
      @jordanjoestar8839 Před 4 lety +1

      @@MrDominik010 Well the most simple question is do you release content in 4k? If not, then the price saving is massive. Also yes, the E-Mount is their new standard mount. I rarely use video so my only concerns are image quality. Though video examples on CZcams that I've seen from the 1080p are very cinematic and impressive. Any of my friends shooting on newer cameras really enjoy playing with the A6000. Cant go wrong, just figure out which one you can fully utilize. For me, $350 for the body and kit lens allowed me to grab an additional 50mm, which really pushed my work to a level just a 6400 with a kit lens wouldn't.

    • @MrDominik010
      @MrDominik010 Před 4 lety +1

      @@jordanjoestar8839 Ive never thought about that.. Maybe it's just at the beginning something to play with like most of the things.. Thank you so much for your help! Now I just have to research about the different lenses :)
