Tom Hanks as Captain Phillips should be there. He nailed that heavy eastern accent.
Rami Malek perfected Freddie Mercury's body movements and body language, on and off stage, every quirk and such; better than the accent of Mercury's, in my opinion. Though both were good, the way Malek moved was hauntingly mirrored to those of Mercury. Like Christian Bale looked so different I had to really look to see it was him,
I think your channel should also do a Tōpppppplloo10 actors who studied and copied the movements of someone for a movie like these as well.. those being movies based on real people/events.
I think.. ..was the best in this list if I could pick one, mainly due to the work he'd put into studying the man he was to portray. Like the work he did said to me that he acts and works on his acting like a regular job, y'know?
@@rafaelsale6364 I didn't hear an accent
@@rafaelsale6364 although I guess being from the east coast I don't hear it as you do.
Austin Butler...hands down!
Austin Butler certainly had a tall order when portraying Elvis Presley, given how there's hundreds upon hundreds of Elvis impersonators and is hit or miss on how "good" they are in capturing the former king of rock and roll. But just like Jamie Foxx and Rami Malek, Austin certainly captured the true essence of Elvis Presley and should be proud of his performance.
Honestly, as someone who was born in and lived in Memphis and grow up near there my entire life, I was skeptical at first. I thought he'd use a stereotypical type of accent, but I was impressed.
@@MsStealYourDadAndMom my point exactly, Austin had a tall order in being a convincing Elvis Presley and people loved his performance as him.
I think Austin Butler nailed it. He brought Elvis To Life for Us. He deserve an Oscar, he was great in that movie, he got my Votes.
Hello ,how are you doing
Me too
He deserves an Oscar ? LMAO you think that how the HFP AND ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURES WORK ?
Davida glad to know your a movie casual
i saw elvis today, austin did an amazing job
Elvis was so good
AUSTIN PORTRAYING ELVIS AMAZINGLY WELL DONE! THE BEST!
The fact that Austin Butler ranks above Jamie Foxx AND Phillip Seymour Hoffman who gave two of the greatest Oscar winning performances ever is just further proof that Austin Butler will/should get the Oscar 🙌🏼
Hello ,how are you doing
How true this was, Austin Butler should have won the Oscar hands down. Shameful Elvis the movie did not win anything.
Austin butler nailed Elvis Presley
Number 3 ?? Austin whooped ass..
He embodied Elvis more than any of the rest of them..
Austin is number One in my eyes 😂
Austin deserves an oscar
WHOO!!! Justice for Austin Butler as the legendary Elvis Presley! His performance through the whole movie is spectacular fashion. I hope it’ll give him a star on the walk of fame. It’s that good
Daniel Day Lewis as President Abraham Lincoln in Lincoln. Simply amazing.
Austin deserves the 1st place. Elvis is the best biopic ever
I can’t say enough great things about Austin Butler! He is a unbelievable actor. He became Elvis totally. He talked like him, looked like him, walked like him. Austin is so humble and kind. I adore him. He seems so kind and intelligent. He speaks so easy. He will win the academy award I believe !!!
Austin Butler did a fantastic job as Elvis ❤. He deserves an Oscar for this performance. The fact that Lisa Marie and Priscilla have praised this performance says everything. Austin truly became Elvis
I have seen Elvis 6 times and will probably see it 6 more times. Austin was fabulous.
Hello ,how are you doing
Gwilym Lee was perfect as Brian May (body language, posture, facial expression, etc) ! He had the voice down so perfectly, he even fooled Brian's kids!
And Anita Dobson was also smitten!
Completely agree 100%
Austin Butler is amazing as Elvis .I've just watched it
Austin Butler's portrayal of Elvis made me see the movie and I was not disappointed.
amazing list, Austin really exceed any expectations he deserves an oscar for that masterpiece performance
Just saw Elvis last week I think Austin did an amazing job as Elvis. I positive he will be nominated at the Oscar's next year.
Hello,how are you doing
And he was just nominated this week.
This might sound crazy but I feel Forrest Whitaker is still a underrated and unappreciated actor, we have to give him all his flowers 💐
Rami was absolutely 💯 incredible!!!!!!! Well deserved Best Actor Oscar!!!!
A lot of those mentions are Best Actor winners, so I am guessing Austin Butler is on his way?
one can only hope
Austin Butler was Beyond phenomenal.
Meryl Streep is a gifted person in so many ways, she is impossible to top...
Yes. I missed Streep as Thatcher in here.
What is more, in Sophie's Choice, she even nailed speaking German with a Polish accent, although she speaks neither language. So when people started complaining because allegedly she would not be able to nail Maggie Thatcher's British accent, I knew she would be able to do this one.
Emma Corrin perfectly mimicked the real Princess Diana's voice to a tee, and apparently repeatedly said "Alright" to spurn on the accent.
Johnny Depp as J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland absolutely should have been on here. Scottish accents are difficult enough, but even locals couldn't tell that his accent was fake. Amazing.
Thank you for recognizing the brillance of Forest Whittiker's performance as Idi Amin.
Ive seen it twice already & i can't wait to see it MORE!!! Austin will deserve a Best Actor Oscar for his incredible performance!!!!
I have seen it 21 times and love Elvis and Austin!
I have so much respect for people that can do these voices.
Angela Bassett as Tina Turner.......was damn near perfect.
Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison. 🖤
Sissy Spesec did Loretta Lynn perfectly in Coalminer's Daughter!!!! She definitely should have been on this list. She even did her own singing.
Same w Joaquin Phoenix & Reese Witherspoon in Walk the Line!!
And Jennifer Lopez as Selena
And while Haley Bennett didn't surprise me doing her own singing, Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore did their own singing as well in Music And Lyrics. And that was Jennifer Lawrence doing her own singing whenever her character sang a song, like she did for her sister, for Rue and for the 13 film crew at the quarry. The last three surprised me. Drew thinks she has the world's worst singing voice, Hugh said he needed "whipped up into shape" and Jennifer hates singing because she gets scared she will screw it up. All three could earn extra money as a singer. Not enough to support a family, but enough to supplement whatever else they were doing. Haley was a pro singer before she did that movie. That was her first film.
Beverly D'Angelo was just as perfect as Patsy Cline if you are going there. And all she had to work with was recordings of interviews and the memories of people who knew her. Loretto, at least, was still alive at the time the movie was filmed.
Hello ,how are you doing
Kate Winslet's Polish accent as [then] Apple executive Joanna Hoffman in "Steve Jobs" was outstanding. Maintaining the consistency of that accent with the punishing amount of [brilliant] dialog in an Aaron Sorkin script is nothing short of remarkable.
They asked the question if there was anyone Kate Winslet couldn't mimic convincingly, and the first thought that popped into my head was James Earl Jones and Morgan Freeman. I seriously doubt she could copy their voices. I think she could learn easily enough to nail their mannerisms, but their sheer size and their voices would be beyond her reach. The great Ms Streep couldn't do it either. I don't, by the same token, see Denzel or Tom Hanks being able to carry off Maria Callas either. There are limits. But you give her any woman of note and I could accept the possibility that Ms Winslet could pull it off. I think she could have even managed a convincing Diana Ross, had she wanted to. I was quite happy with the performance we did get in that biopic from the woman they chose, but I do think they were correct about Kate that far, that she COULD have done it.
@@heinleinreader well. Of course she could not do a very deep male voice... No woman could
@@jacquelinekurceba250 Did you see the Fifth Element? That woman had a range that would touch on bass at least. And there are other classically trained singers that might give it a go as well. See, if that kid from Sister Act 2 can pull off THAT falsetto, then a woman could, if she works at it learn to sing that deeply. And there are women with naturally deep voices. Ask any choir director. Seems anyone that has ever sung would know that.
I'm so glad you show the amount of work actors put into getting their roles right because every time somebody says acting is easy, I just want to scream.
They forgot Jessica Chastain as Tammy Faye Baker- she was utterly SUPER FANTASTIC!
Forest Whitaker as Edi-Amin scared the crap outta me. He lost himself so deep in the role that I forgot he was an American. The Last King of Scotland was an awesome movie.
I only watched elvis from this list and austin just did amazing 🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️
Joe Mazzello nailed playing as John Deacon!!! His accent, his way of playing the bass, everything is just perfect
Hello ,how are you doing
Austin Butler, he deserved the Oscar for his performance. His accent was perfect, and I'm from the South too.
Austin Butler is the best bio pic portrayal I've EVER seen. Nailed. It.
Ummm…. HELLO
Sissy Spacek as Loretta Lynn?
Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland?
Taron Egerton as Elton John?
Joaquin Pheonix as Johnny Cash?
Renee nailed it!
@@valeades3493 absolutely!!!!!
The only one who didn’t win an Oscar on my list for their betrayal is Taron. How in the world are they not mentioned 🤦🏼♀️
11, 12, 13 and 14, I guess.
Hello ,how are you doing
You missed Dev Patel in "Lion". Australians were astonished and thrilled to hear the best Aussie accent by a non-Australian ever. It was superb.
And Daniel Bruhl doesn’t get a mention at all on his role as Niki Lauda in Rush?
Seriously the guy spent time with the real Niki to get the voice down and everything. And he did it so well!
Don’t really know if Chris Hemsworth got his exactly perfect for his role as James Hunt but they both did extremely well in their portrayals
Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen
Cate Blanchet was perfect as Katherine Hepburn!
One of my favorite roles she played
You could have at least mentioned Tom Hiddleston as Hank Williams (I Saw the Light). Unless you're preparing a Part Two for this list, because there are others worth mentioning.
Claire Danes was AMAZING as Temple Grandin
OSCARS AND AWARDS GALLORE FOR AUSTIN BUTLER AS ELVIS AND ELVIS THE .MOVIE! BRILLIANT SENSATIONAL AWESOME SPECTACULAR!
You missed...
Denzel Washington as Malcolm X
Salma Hayek as Frida Kahlo
Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana
Jessica Chastain as Tammy Faye
Taron Egerton as Elton John
Renée Zellweger as Judy Garland
Joaquin Phoenix & Reece Witherspoon as Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash respectively
I knooow, i was expecting Stewart in the video but it wasnt there 😢
I can't believe that johnny and June was not on this great list
What about Andrew Garfield as Desmond Doss
Denzel Washington really looks like Malcolm X.
Angela Bassett as Tina Turner
Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” sounds just like Jim and Tammy Bakker!
I don't think Chastain sounded anything like Tammy Faye. I listened to them side by side and it was alarming.
They were great! Early on I was telling people Jessica would win the Oscar!
Though it was only an honorable mention I was so happy to the Temple Grandon on this list. She did an amazing job portraying Temple!!!
Yes, Rami did a great Freddie, but Gwilym Lee should have gotten the spot in place of Rami instead of just a shout out. His portrayal of Brian was so accurate that Brian's own kids thought their father dubbed the audio because of how much it sounded like Dr. May
That's so cool I never knew that!
Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana
👑 "Spencer" (2021)
Both Andrew Garfield and Jessica Chastain were WONDERFUL in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. They nailed them both perfectly
Hello,how are you doing
I think Luke Kirby as Lenny Bruce in the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was an amazing impression.
Hello ,how are you doing
Andra Day as Billie Holliday in The United States vs Billie Holliday was next level 👌🏼
Philip Seymore Hoffman sounds exacly like the man he's playing but to do the accent seems no more difficult than just mocking someone by repeating their words..😆
How is Joaquin Pheonix as Johnny Cash not even an honourable mention? (should be in the list)
Rami Malek did great in Bohemian Rhapsody. I love the movie.
He nailed it
Christian Bale’s voice as Dick Cheney in ‘Vice’ is even creepier than his Batman voice!
They all did a good job Austin Butler and Will Smith should have been a number one
Rami as Freddie
Austin as Elvis
Taron as Elton john
Jennifer as selena
KJ as Jeremy Camp
We're always my favorites
I’m glad someone has mentioned KJ!!!!!! I still believe is one of my favorite movies and I think he did a fantastic job
I hope those aren't in order because Austin was kicking dust in Rami's face as far as it goes
I read that many of Churchill's radio speeches from Parliament were actually re-recorded by an actor who nailed Churchill's speech, including the slight lisp.
Helen Mirren as QUeen Elizabeth in THE QUEEN, as well as Claire Foy, Olivia Colman and now Imelda Staunton as again the Queen in THE CROWN. They might not look exactly like Elizabeth, but they speak exactly like she used to!
Almost all the entries in this list were Oscar-winning performances. It shows how much effort actors put into taking responsibility. It would be fun to see which actors failed in portraying a famous character.
David Oyelowo, another Nigerian-British actor who portrayed an African-American, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in _Selma_
Ayo where is Andrew Garfield as Desmond Doss in Hacksaw Ridge????
This list should have been 20, you missed so many. Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash, Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, Sandra Bullock in The Blindside.
Douglas Booth playing boy George is 100% accurate
Hello ,how are you doing
The time and energy to replicate someone else's voice, is truly phenomenal. #msmojo
The actress in billie holiday's biopic had me fooled it was billie
Andra Day. Yes she was amazing.
I haven’t watched Jackie but I did watch a video of Jackie Kennedy and Natalie Portman as Jackie with scenes side by side and it was really accurate. She nailed the accent.
It was a horrible shame that she didn’t receive an Oscar! I’ve watched so many actresses play Jackie Kennedy and her accent and vocal patterns are so difficult to portray while sounding natural and not forced, but Natalie Portman did it perfectly!
@@baby_grogu Oh really? She didn’t get an Oscar? I think she definitely deserved it. It was on point and so realistic. She did such a wonderful job.
Can’t and won’t disagree with the #1 pick. Forrest Whitaker is on another level.
Winston Churchill had such an upper class, English aristocrat voice, plus the scratchy, whiskey soaked determination to pull in the entire country as he fought the entire third reich from day one, even when he was by himself and reviled by everyone in the beginning...
What about Denzel Washington in Malcolm X.
Kristen Stewart with Princess Diana's accent in Spencer?
Winston Churchill’s mother was from Brooklyn NY.
I can do Kermit, Ernie & Bert. 😋
Jharrel Jerome in "When they see us" 🤩
Many actors have played Winston Churchill, so much so you could do a best of list.
Forgot about “Selena” with Jennifer Lopez
very very great epic list I like it a lot very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever 💗
James Corden's portrayal as 2007 winner of Britain's Got Talent and Operatic Singer, Paul Potts, was pretty good. I'm surprised he wasn't mentioned in honorable mentions.
Charlize Theron as Aileen Wuornos in Monster :)
Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela in Invictus was perfection!
I'm eagerly waiting for a biopic for George Michael & Michael Jackson ❤❤❤
I would give a shout out to Tom Hiddleston as Hank Williams, when I listen to the songs from I saw the light and the real Hank Williams back to back, it does really sound like the same track!
Honestly, no disrespect to any of them... most are just amazing acting. Austin Butler as Elvis... his own daughter didn't know if it was her father or Austin singing. Every other actor is fantastic but does not even compare
Freddie Mercury had a hyper sibilant "s" sound (higher pitched), Malek's "s" is something completely different.
Kristen Stewart's accent in Spencer as Princess Diana was also to the point
really?
Forest Whitaker won an Oscar the following year. But just saying winning multiple lead actor awards makes it seem like it was some random award he won. Hmmmm but with everyone else the Oscar was specifically mentioned.
WTF no Kristen Stewart as Lady Diana, Princess of Wales in Spencer
no Marion Cotillard as Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose
no Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking in The Theory Of Everything
no Jessica Chastain as Tammy Faye in The Eyes Of Tammy Faye
no Andra Day as Billie Holiday in The United States Vs Billie Holiday
no Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady
no Will Smith as Richard Williams in King Richard
Tom Hiddleston as Hank Williams. Like Hank, I'm from Alabama, and Hiddleston nailed it.
Daniel Day-Lewis had Lincoln's Voice down to a tee!!!!!!!
Evil Angels was known as A Cry In The Dark in the UK.
These People are awesome form doing a accent outside The u.s.👌👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😍😍
Kristen Stewart deserved at least an honourable mention for nailing the British accent in Spencer
0:50 - The actor next to Streep looks like Sam Neill. And then I thought this was a scene from A Cry In The Dark, which takes place in Australia.
You forgot Tom Huddleston as Hank Williams in I Saw the Light
Hiddleston, just saying.
