    NAAN BREAD RECIPE
    1/2 cup warm water
    2 tsp instant yeast
    1 tsp sugar
    3 Tbsp olive oil (1.5 Tbsp for dough, 1.5 Tbsp to coat bowl)
    1/4 cup plain yogurt (or sour cream)
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 cups all-purpose flour for dough (plus some more to dust on working surface)
    2 Tbsp butter, melted to brush on top after cooked
    1) Combine warm water, yeast and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes or until bubbly.
    2) Add all other ingredients (using only 1.5 Tbsp olive oil)... exclude the butter. stir until smooth.
    3) Kneed a few times until smooth and the dough is soft. You may need to add additional flour to make the soft dough. 2 cups flour is all I have ever needed.
    4) Place dough in an oiled bowl (using the remaining 1.5 Tbsp of olive oil). Cover the bowl and let rise in a warm place until dough doubles - about 1 hour.
    5) Preheat skillet to medium-high heat.
    6) Cut the dough into 8 pieces. Roll each into 6" circle.
    7) Lightly oil skillet. Cook each circle for 2 to 3 minutes, then flip and cook 2 to 3 minutes more. Brush the bubbly side with butter.
    ENJOY!

    I have a scout stove & it's My favorite up of the lot !
    I don't think those pucks are intended to be used for fuel , I think they are just for fire starter . The only thing I have used for
    fire so far is alcohol burner . ( works great )

    Fun video. You convinced me of two things. First, to try the Naan bread next time I go camping, and second, never to buy those dang fuel pucks! Firebox makes good gear for sure and his YT vids are informative, and fun also.

      Thank you, Mr Winger. I hope you will like the naan. It is so soft and tasty, especially when warm with a little bit of butter. Everything is better with butter. Yes, the fuel pucks probably work best as a fire starter. We, too, enjoy his videos. It's always fun to see what he's going to do next.

      Camp Chef makes awesome stuff. Ditto on their two-burner stove. We have one of them on our deck. It's wonderful. Haven't tried their oven yet. That would be so handy!

      @bill bertrand Ohhhhh. I just looked up the Camp Chef oven and now I see what you have. My apologies. It's truly a 2-burner stove and oven combination. Wow! That is so cool. Now, I want one.

    I love firebox, I have the 5” the nano and this one. Not as many videos about the Scout and I think is just as great. I’ve given up cooking with wood, one because I’m in California with constant fire bans (rightly so) another is because I hate cleaning the soot. That being said all fireboxes are so versatile, I either use a Trangia or the gas canister insert which is the only way allowed in fire bans. These stoves are so well built they’ll last for many years. I bake inside the billy pot which all these stoves support also by laying them on the side. As usual great video, seems we like the same things since I see the GSI pan you’re using.

      @carmen martinez Thank you for the kind words about the video. We do seem to have a lot of the same things. I've had that Bugaboo pan since 2017, and use it weekly. It's a wonderful pan. That's awesome that you bake in the billy pot laying on its side. I haven't tried that yet.

    Keep a scout in the car for emergencies with a few different fuel options.
    I haven’t used the fuel pucks as I have saved them as emergency fire starters (after watching your video I certainly wouldn’t use them as the main fuel source unless things were really desperate)
    Naan bread looks lovely, I like to cook mine on a cast iron pan though, no more Teflon or similar for me these days.

      @Analogue Cat 3345
      Awesome that you keep a Scout kit in your car.
      That's exactly the conclusion I have also reached about the fuel pucks.
      Thank you for the kind words about the naan. Cooking it up in a skillet sounds perfect!
      I chose the Bugaboo pan because it isn't super thick and I wanted to try out the fuel pucks. I'm pretty sure if I'd used a cast iron skillet, I would have needed to finish cooking with either wood or gas. {chuckle}
      I hear ya on the switch away from pans with Teflon/non-stick coatings. I have gotten several types of carbon steel pans in a move to pans that are non-stick-ish, while being a little lighter than cast iron. I must say, the GSI Outdoors Teflon coated pans are incredibly well made. I've been using this Bugaboo pan since May of 2017. The surface is still intact. As soon as the surface is compromised, I will toss it. It will be a sad day. I use it weekly in the kitchen and it has served me well.

      Ooooo. That sounds yummy. You could use it as the crust for a pizza, or fold it in jalf for any type of sandwich.
