We give a rundown of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B stadiums. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B is the second tier of Brazilian football. Thanks for watching!
A few more curiosities about those stadiums, I’ve actually been in some of these and me and my girlfriend are season ticket holders at Mirassol. 1. Guarani (Brinco de Ouro): this stadium’s full name is “Brinco de Ouro da Princesa” (The Princess’ Golden Ring). Both the city of Campinas and the avenue where this stadium is located have the nickname of “Princesa do Oeste” (princess of the west). And the ring part of the stadium’s name was coined by a journalist who, seeing the stadium’s oval shape, created the official name of the stadium. 2. Ponte Preta (Moisés Lucarelli): nicknamed as “Majestoso” (Majestic) the stadium was made with a lot of help from Ponte Preta’s fans, who brought a lot of material to build the stadium and some even worked directly in the stadium’s construction. That green stuff behind the stadium is an elevated and still functioning railroad. Ponte Preta and Guarani’s stadiums are separated by only just about 400 meters and photos encompassing both stadiums are not hard to find. Ponte Preta and Guarani make one of Brazil’s most vicious rivalries. 3. Mirassol (Maião): The stadium has a very family friendly setting, with simple but cozy surroundings. The best seats on the house are on the main stand (not shown in the vídeo), and the view you have from there in late afternoon games is very pretty when sunset arrives. The only downside is the heat in day games, in particular on the sector painted in green shown in the video. It’s bare concrete seating there and it faces the sun directly, so you can imagine what happens when you watch a game seated there 😂. But overall watching a game on this stadium is a quite nice experience. Mirassol is having a rapid rise in Brazilian football, having won the fourth and third tiers in recent years, and there was no time (and room), for further stadium developments. If Mirassol gets promoted it will be involved in the same situation Luton Town is in England. Mirassol neighbors a bigger city in São José do Rio Preto which has two bigger stadiums. It’s likely Mirassol would play on one of those until it’s stadium situation gets sorted out. Mirassol fans would be pissed if this happens, but Mirassol’s stadium belongs to the city of Mirassol, not to the club itself. But Mirassol’s mayor and Mirassol FC’s long standing president are exactly the same person, so anything can happen…
Good video! Congratulations! There is only one small observation, the time difference between the video "Brasil Série A" and "Brasil Série B", meant that some stadiums of traditional clubs were left out, for example the stadium of the club "Vasco da Gama". As a fan of this club, I was sad not to see the reaction. I hope you make another updated video, about the "series A".
Arena Condá will be much better with the current renovation, although it is not as good as the refurbishment project that was announced in 2017. Londrina currently plays at the Estádio do Café, but it has a small stadium with 5,000 seats, which should be expanded and transformed into an arena with a capacity of 20,000 and begin to play in it. It is a trend in Brazil for clubs to be abandoning large public stadiums to use smaller arenas, but which are their own, Atlético Goianiense, before renovating the stadium that appeared in the video, played at Serra Dourada, a public stadium with a capacity of 50,000 seats.
No caso do Serra dourada é pq tá acabado mesmo por isso não tão usando 😅. Afinal é do governo estadual e os clubes não quer gastar pra manter o estádio em bom estado.
Great video! Nice to see some lower level South American clubs get some love. Can you the Argentine second division? Or the Bolivian first division? I would love either video.
Thanks. I will probably cover some of the other 1st divisions in South America before I get to Argentina's second division, but I'm sure I'll do it eventually.
@@TheWideWorldofStadiums If at any point you need info or have questions about either the leagues in Argentina or Bolivia feel free to DM. The Bolivian stuff can be hard to find on the internet especially. There is a lot of strange stuff that goes on with stadiums there haha. Really love your work.
