  • Barbara Kingsolver's wildly popular novel Demon Copperhead will come out in paperback later this year. If you're waiting to read it, should you read David Copperfield first? If you've already read Demon, should you read David to find out where Kingsolver got her inspiration?
I've read them both. Here's my take on the way these two novels work together--and my advice on whether you need David in order to appreciate Demon.
Check out my video on tips for reading David Copperfield: • TIPS for Reading DAVID...
VIEWER UPDATE: If you're in the U.S., you can order the paperback now from England, where it's already been published: blackwells.co.uk/bookshop/pro...

I always enjoy your videos. I listened to part of “Demon” on Audible but didn’t continue. Maybe I’ll go back and retry. I borrowed that book from the library when it was released and it was a heavy paperback. I was afraid I would ruin it if I handled it too much. For me there are too many great books to spend time on “David” for that much time. 📖

Yes, I see that now on the Blackwell's website, and apparently you can order for delivery to the US! I'll add a note to the video--thanks!
