Metal Castlevania Medley - Scourge of 1691

- This is a Castlevania (NES) medley (arranged and performed by Goat) that a friend of mine introduced to me several years ago. It begins with the regular boss music, then goes in order through the game. I do not own any of the rights to this, or the photo that I found online to accompany it. I'm assuming that credit would go to Konami and Goat.

Man, I have listened to this about 50 times over the last three days. I'm not kidding. I listened to it yesterday in the shower, listened to it for over an hour this morning. I've listened to it about 4-5 times since I got off work. And I listened to it twice before bed last night. I can't get enough.

@@caleboch8181 btw everyone says it wrong i speak romanian and it should be tzepesh no tepesh the mistake comes because in romanian letter combinations such as sh dont exist there is a small curved line below the letter to siginify it does a special sound so the sound of tz is ț with that line tzepesh is written this way in romanian: țepeș as a romanian speaker i cringe each time its said wrong just saying thanks for wasting a minuet of your life on a very small thing
I heard this like 10 years ago on a local radio show in Indianapolis. I have done a couple serious web searches looking for this over the years. And always came up with weak pseudometal shallowness. Not this time! Thank you Raymond Maynard and of course Goat!

Most people were introduced to the song with this video. I couldn't have been further from the opposite. My wife was watching the Bold and the Beautiful, and that's when the song came up, I liked it so much I had to look it up and find it, and lo and behold, I found you, watched this video, loved it, and immediately binged your others. It's not every day a silly soap opera can introduce you to a band and an animator you had never heard of before.

Okay here's how I think it goes:
It is the year 21678X..
In New Romania, a new force of evil has started to form and expand..
The vile red falcon group has started to form again. Defeated several centuries ago by the super soldiers Bill and Lance.. They had yet, started to create another form of chaos. One way or another. This time, having called upon the power of hell itself! Done in top of what used to be where Dracula's castle is. Castlevania...
Thus unleashing evil in the world again, both Elemental and mechancal have gone and destroyed at least half of population, with Red falcon using them at ease..
However no hope has been lost.. Yet
A soldier who was distinctly directed to the Belmont's have decided to follow his fate and destroy this evil as how his descendants have done before him.
The best cover of the old Castlevania themes I ever heard.

2005 Dwelling of Duels. The year I graduated high-school. I probably had about a half dozen different mp3 players with these songs along with half the library of OCRemix at the time.
"Scale the Machine" and "Kick That Sinking Feeling" were my other two favorites by GOAT

Poison Mind (0:00) Dracula returns, and monsters wreak havoc!

Vampire Killer-Entrance: Simon makes his way through the first floor, vanquishing the beasts with the Vampire Killer.
Stalker-Haunted Armory: Simon continues onward through the castle, despite many difficulties.
Wicked Child-Balcony: Simon sees his goal up ahead. Determined, he presses onward.
Walking on the Edge: Emerging from a rough fall, he rises again, making his way out of the cavern.
Heart of Fire-Simon reaches the dungeon, and is exhausted. He stops and starts, whipping monsters and candles, pausing to catch his breath.
Out of Time-Up on the keep, having bested Death himself, Simon races to the throne room, to vanquish the Count, once and for all!
Nightmare/Nothing to Lose-This is it. Simon climbs the stairs to Count Dracula’s chamber, steeling himself. The vampire king appears in front of him, for one last dance...
After trading blows, the Count’s head detaches, and a truly horrific thing emerges...
Black Night-A demonic essence lights up the keep. Even Simon, who bested everything, stands shocked. Catching his breath, he strikes the creature, sending Dracula back to whence he came.
All Clear/Game Complete- The room finally being cleansed of sin, Simon collects the last magic crystal, destroying all evil. Gasping for air, Simon raises his whip in triumph, before he feels a rumbling under him.
Voyager-Simon watches the castle collapse, satisfied that the vampire king will never rise to terrorize his home again, unaware that before he died, Dracula bit him during the clash. He goes home to enjoy the peace for another 7 years.

I enjoy their rendition of Wicked Child (level 3) better than Goat's in their medley. One of the best tracks on the game, and Goat uses it for his slow interlude.

This was my first Nintendo game ever. We never could make it past Frankenstein and Igor in level 4. It definitely is a real challenge. They need to make a Castlevania movie. This should be the soundtrack! I'd be at the theater on the opening day!
