Welp, making an unplanned trip to HomeGoods today 🏃♀️💨 and so excited for Hocus Pocus 2, it looks like it’s going to be really good. I was a little worried, but it looks like they have a good storyline. 🎃 Salem is amazing - check out the picture of the witch house on my IG someone said they can see a face in the window and I can totally see it too!

I lived in Old Town Marblehead which is the most incredible coastal town right next door! In fact, there's youtube videos that will give you exact locations of Hocus Pocus. Been to all of them. There's so many movies filmed in that area. The tennis shoe scene was filmed in cemetery in my old town of Marblehead. I'm getting homessick just thinking of it. My only daughter graduated law school a few years ago and got a job in New Orleans...so here I am. I miss Fall and Winter snow❄️
I recently had my fortune read here in the French Quarter during one of the multiple festivals, and the psychic turned out to be from Marbleheadand did readings in Salem! I kid you not! She predicted I shall return to New England and that seems the plan when daughter thinks of starting a family.
I had to drive through downtown Salem every evening on my way to work in Concord/Lexington, Massachusetts. Big mistake...never drive thru Salem if you work on Halloween eve that year!
I had my fortune told in Salem one special Halloween while hanging out with a dear friend.
I could go on and on but I will stop now and start hunting for CZcams videos on Hocus Pocus filming locations and go down memory lane. Please film while in Salem if possible and post!

Also funny that you ended up in New Orleans which I hear is like the Salem of the south in some ways! We had a really amazing time and went to see several of the hocus pocus sights and other local attractions. I took lots of photos and am thinking of making a Salem vlog during October. Love Salem. We went late in September much cheaper. Loved the house of the seven gables, Peabody Essex house, the witch trial memorial and grave yard. Definitely take a ghost walk after dark, it was the highlight. Loved all the small eateries close to the wharf and try captain Dusty’s ice cream.

Salem is amazing! I’ve been there 3 times and always find new stuff to see. The Hocus Pocus filming locations are so cool to see in person. Make sure to visit the little village where the beginning scenes were filmed. There are so many beautiful houses in Salem also. It’s just an amazing place to visit!

@@harvestandholly we only apent a few hours there and we seen the witches museum it explains all about the trials in salem and then we juat walked around and had appetizers in the witches brew cafe

Hocus pocus is my all time favorite movie! My kids and I will watch it any time if the year, we just watched it like a week ago lol sept 30th on Disney plus hocus pocus comes out! If I remember correctly.

Very excited about the new movie. Yes, I was in Salem in 2003 in November. I loved EVERYTHING there. I could live there forever. I don't remember where we ate. We didn't stay there but took Amtrak from Boston to Salem for one day. I so want to go back. It is on my "getting late" bucket wish. Thanks for sharing Halloween. I went to salem last October it's amazing!! It did not disappoint. Pioneer village if you want to go there has limited hours but the most important tip is wear comfy shoes cause there is SO much walking. You'll be able to see more if you can keep going.

went to Salem last year Halloween 🎃 and loved it. we stayed at the Salem inn. for eats we liked Caramel French patisserie, Reds and Joho Coffee and good night fatties for cookies. for shopping, Coons gifts, trolley depot and Salemdipity. be sure to take a trolley tour to see the sites. sign up wit haunted happenings because they will mail you a brochure. have fun!

Yesterday was my first Halloween spotting at At Home in Canton, Ohio. I got the big light up jack o lantern and 3 black flame candles.(2 are gifts) Then on a whim I stopped at a cracker barrel and got the wraith with lantern! I really was shook!!🎃

I just went to Salem last month! I loved it and seeing the filming locations was amazing! I also really liked the Salem Witch Museum and the House of the Seven Gables!

Hoping this year there will be more retro Halloween in stores, we bought a time capsule home and I would love to find stuff that suits it. Glad to see some Halloween trickling in!
I think Michaels will likely do the vintage theme again and hopefully the at home store will do their MCM vibe again! Looks like Joanns has some mid century inspired fabrics so maybe that will translate into a decor collection ☺️

Yes I am attempting to! I have several others that I'm growing too but I'm battling with some garden pests so fingers crossed I'm able to get some pumpkins still!

@@lauraw.1289 mine have been off to a slow start too. I planted some in the ground and some in pots and the ones in pots are flowering first? Odd! They were planted after the ones in the ground. I recently found cucumber beetles and squash vine borers so I’m trying to manage those. Hopefully my potted pumpkins will be ok since it’s easy to check them versus the vibes on the ground that are like a jungle. Good luck with yours too! Don’t forget to fertilize and water often :)
