I started next Gen with a Hisense U8G. Hated the banding and ghosting. I decided to get an LG C1. And I was so disappointed. The motion wasn’t noticeably dramatically better, and while the ghosting and banding were gone, the brightness was just too low for my liking. Coupled with the risk of burn in, I was thoroughly disappointed with the C1 and returned it. Then I got the U8H and holy shit, it’s basically perfect. Black levels are almost as good as the LG, motion is about just as good, ghosting is gone, little to no banding (some minor dirty screen effect but really not noticeable). I love the u8h and would recommend it to anyone. Mind blowing TV.
Excellent comparison! I was torn between the Hisense U8H and the LG C2 and this video solved my dilemma. I realize this comparison was with the C1; however, I can't imagine the C2 being that much better than the C1 to make up for the difference in price between the cost of the Hisense vs an LG C2. When you add in the Hisense's better color quality/gamut, higher brightness in HDR, and zero risk of burn-in, it's a no-brainer! Even moreso considering I watch a LOT of content with static images and was already worried about burn-in. Finally, I already own a U8G and have been extremely happy with it, so if the U8H is even better like many are saying, I'm sold! Thanks again!
❤❤love ur comment ! U r like d ONLY other female here has U8G like I do n literlaly spoke for me towards U8H. It’s awesome! A LOT of tech guys think we r like trying to OUT smart them , it’s d opposit , we feel bad they r fooled to waste their Hard Earned /saved money when they can get equal or even Better for Half price! It’s just No brainer , hisense Vs those “big name “. Hisense is Big Name , it’s like d 4th biggest TV brand in d world n been around for 50 yrs like Samsung . They just never Sold their premium ones here in North America. Hisense is offering TV market a Healthy Dose of Push .
I bought a 65" U8H last night because of your review and others. I kept bouncing between that and a 75" U7H because of the price similarity. (The LG C1 is now at $1500 for a 65"). I felt pressured to pull the trigger when it became available on Amazon for a few hours - it's been gone and now it's gone again. I think it's the most common question for consumers is this: Should I go with Good & Bigger or Great and Smaller? Is that a fair way to sum up the choice between those two?
I usually purchase the more high-end TVs but I don't usually go straight up to whatever the latest and greatest is. My prior TV was a really nice Sony and it looked great at the time but I got the u8h and for the first time and several TVs my wife noticed just how much better it was the minute she turned on one of her shows. Her exact response was it feels like they're actually here. All that for $950 and it does vrr for the Xbox as well as 1440p and low latency. It kind of does everything I could ever ask it to and looks phenomenal at the same time for a ridiculous price
Yeah yeah yeah yeah….me and bunch other only online women who made comments about Hisense Flagship panel…first thing is always like:”LOOKS 3D , like i am right there, but it’s NOT 3D TV” when watching 4k content.
How does the U8H do with Soccer? The NFL footage really was, like you said, back and forth with which is more preferred. I’ve been wanting to buy a TV for a few years now but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I mostly watch Soccer, football, anime, and films in a relatively dark room, so the C1 has been a dream for a bit, but the colors on the Hisense are hard to ignore.
Thanks so much for your work and effort. Check out the strawberry scene at 12:30. There are two ladders on the Hisense, and basically only one on the LG.
New subscriber...and man, your videos have really helped! Thanks for the very clear and non-bias reviews. The tell-it-like-it-is attitude is rare, so thank you!
Is so difficult to choose for me because I always want the best of the best in terms of tv and both have things that I like one thing that is making me want a Hisense is the peak brightness and the color vibrancy and one thing is making me want a C1 is the capability of gaming that this tv has but at the same Oled risk of burning scared me man I don’t know what to do lol
Been a fan of Hisense since I bought one of their TV's from Walmart because it was cheap 10-ish years ago. I was extremely surprised when that $400 Hisense had a better picture than my $700 Samsung. Been on board with Hisense ever since.
Hi quantum ,You really changed my mind about tv brands and now I'm 100% will buying hisense U8H , but there is one major issue with Chinese tv brands .The U8H on USA is totally different in other regions in every feature (refresh rate / dimming zones etc) .I live in Kuwait how can tell I'm getting the same TV features like the one in USA. If hisense only delivered a downgrade version of the U8H in my region , is there any good company in your exp can ship tv internationally? I always ship all kinds of stuff from usa , but never ship tv from USA to Kuwait .
Can't get the American models 😥, but our u7h is still a 120, allm freesync display, our "c2" has a c1 with c2 internals. I am torn between getting this c2 for just the room (which is dark at the best of times) or get 2 u7h for same price as one c2, upgrading the lounge from a really old 42 hisense at the same time. I do not use that display though, the family does. I am hooking up a series s so will be running everything in 1080. As a side, is it better to enable tv upscaling when using 1080 on a 4k display or leave it off, similar question if i eventually get my hands on a series x, should i go 1440 with or without upscaling or 4k default. Not sure if the trade off, my guess is input lag enable upscaling
Hey Quantum, Are you planning on trying out the U9H when its available? I'm liking the U8H but curious if the U9H will have those improvements over the U8H. I know the U9G is rubbish so hopefully Hisense get the U9H right. Love your content. Keep doing what you do.
Any thoughts on the U7H? I know you don't suggest TV's above 65", but I am looking for an 85" option. Doesn't look like Hisense will make an 85" U8H. So, I'm considering the U7H, but also looking at C1 on sale in 83"
Ok I'm an audiophile not a videophile but I need a new tv for everyday use, streaming, cable, casual gaming, and I've narrowed down to these 2 models. The prices here in Canada are similar, C1 still a couple hundred more, but price difference will not deter my decision, I just want the better tv. Which would you choose? And if I go with the OLED should I worry about burn-in?
Hello I am planning on hanging my u8h and am worried about angle blooming. The top of the tv would be touching the ceiling do you know if watching it from below would cause bloom and affect the blacks?
I might’ve missed it somewhere where it says if this is a 75 inch to a 77 inch comparison or if it’s a 65 inch to a 65 inch comparison? I know that the 75 inch is a different panel.
I want to replace my '18 Vizio Quantum with another LED set and am seriously eyeing the U8H or 9. I don't want to give up all of the quantum's pluses (peak luminance + post calibration accuracy + contrast) for 1 or two things better by something new (processing, etc). Should I look at Hisense or get another OLED? I have a G1 and A9G elsewhere in my home.
Great comparison!! Would you list your picture settings for the U8H you used for this shoot-out? My picture settings doesn’t look as vibrant as your display…Thank you and keep up the fantastic content!!
It would be great if reviewers did a switch from metric based reviews to straight up.... HDR theater vs standard profile across brands and straight into blind client side by side surveys for preference with everyday people. I bet the results would blow the minds of those pushing "accurate" sets, calibrations. Let's remember, we live in a society where the color science of jpgs for social media is based on clients obsession with creating FOMO not reality.
Just ordered 55inch u8h for $649 all-in…thoughts. I kind of wanted to go bigger 65 might be too big for room 60 would be perfect 55 is 5 inches bigger than current Vizio. Also, 65 inch was like $600 more
as an LG OLED owner for the last 5 years, I have two words to describe why I will NEVER buy another OLED, and of course, you probably know those 2 words. BURN IN. it's real and it sucks.
I have a 2015 OLED 1080p 55 inch TV. Its a great looking TV but its old being a 1st or 2nd gen OLED TV. I still will keep it as a backup and like the 3D. I want 4K, HDR, better processing, also size at 65 inch home theater. I really want and am strongly thinking of getting a OLED LG 65 inch at 1800 bucks , however its rarely in stock. Now I see this Hisense U8H at my local electronic stores at 65 inch going for 900 bucks. Should I forget waiting on the OLED and get 50% off to downgrade to a LCD LED ? I know OLED is better in many ways but is this TV really very close to the Black levels a OLED has ? Also for gaming, streaming, motion etc.. How good does this Hisense perform ?? I don't buy into QLED or ULED, MLED etc. These are just LCD TV's using false advertising to compete with OLED. 900 for a 65 inch TV is amazing but if it has close to OLED, high end picture then I will get it instead.
What got me was the football game. The LG looking flat & pale. The Hisense looked alive with color. The scene of the girl and the view of the mountains, I loved the depth the Hisense had of the mountains verses the LG.
Quantum you are the best man, un fortunately I can't get your settings because am in Africa. If you where to help me use your settings, my Hisense tv can be on another level. Big ups to you brother. I like your honest man.
The HDR is better on the U8H due to its amazing 1,500 nits peak brightness, The C1 actually looks hella dark and can't even compare. The U8H has the best colors of any TV Ive ever owned, I got mine last week and I regret absolutely nothing, I have never seen such a rich and beautiful picture. It is jaw dropping after you calibrate it properly. Local dimming also makes contrast ratio a non issues entirely. Looks as good as a OLED but with no fear of any burn in!
Man, the gaming features keep pushing me toward an LG or something else, but I really love the price on the Hisense. Can anybody confirm that the Hisense is any good for gaming?
Hisense is 15ms input latency. LG is like 10-11ms. Although 15 is still pretty good. Very important thing that many don't know. LG Oleds are terrible with SDR games. Look it up. It's really weird. So LG OLED is really bad when it comes to Switches
It’s not much worse . Let’s use words call it “U8HQ is NOT as Over d top premium U8H but still great “ its still gone be similar to LG Nano . It’s like Audi A3 , A4 vs Audi A6 . Just like iPhone 8 , iPhone 8C . iPhone X , IPhone XR. They r Diff phone , diff tier ! Ppl Mistake U8H n U8HQ are SAME tier , n mistakenly Calling that panel bad ! In International Markeing class. It’s Extremely common they Lunch Diff tier Products in diff Countries to TEST market n slowly upscale according to Need and preference /spending habbits on d fallowing Years ! That’s literally Western Marketing on Text book .
PC Richard & Son right now selling the 75 inch U8H for $1,499.99. The only problem is, I don't know if the panel is IPS or VA. No one has answered the question yet.
Just got a 65U8H today .....I have an 65H9g ,65U6g,,65 H1 oled ...I brought back the H1 due to burn in...Wow this damn U8H is awesome ...Im blown away ...This is damn close to the H1...I am really shocked ...Sound isnt terrible either although all Tv's should have at least a sound bar minimum ....Its insane that this is even close to a tie ...It shoudnt be even though it truly is ...Mini Led is pretty damn awesome .... Thans for the video you encouraged me to go out and buy one and Im finally not disappointed after I buy a TV no buyers remorse year..
I own the lg c1 off your recommendation and it’s amazing best tv I ever own. I also have a tcl 6 series both in bedroom. I am looking for a living room tv for 65 or 75 inch and it seems the hisense u8h is the best tv for the money and it brings great value. Thank you for doing these videos and comparisons
I just bought a Hisense U8G and just noticed the Sony Bravia A80j OLED is 899 for a 55 inch at a local store. What do you think? Should I keep the Hisense or get the Sony OLED on sale? Thank you
The A7H isn't even close to U8H. It has very poor panel (mostly IPS), with Direct Led backlight, no local dimming, 60Hz refresh rate and 350cd / m² brightness.
I wish you and others would mention the inability for the U8H to properly render 4k at 120hz. There are known hardware limitations with this TV where it massively deterirots the picture quality at 120hz 4k. This is where it falls apart compared to the C1. No firmware can fix the hardware limitations.
What up Quantum! You know I have been waiting for 2 yrs for you to show the right TV to replace my Vizio 65PQ-F1 I use for my Xbox Series X and 4k streaming. I think this is it. I’m goi g to wait for the 75” to become available. My patience paid off. Thanks Quantum for all you do to give us the honest truth about TVs. Keep up the awesome work 🤙🏾
OLED55-H1 vs the U8H??? Anybody see a comparison please let me know,,,,,Also why u hating on the Raiders with those clips of us getting our A$$ kicked !!
Can someone tell me how that TV's are the same price? The Hisense 65" U8H is $999 and the LG C1 is $1600. This is a great video but the LG is more than 50% more expensive.
LG C1 settings: czcams.com/play/PLn799UxChSs0UvvtV48zaCWC4SJZF_HPU.html

Just found this channel awesome work dude had to Sub.
I like the look of the C1 I should have grabbed one when it was easy to find at that good price.
I got the 65 of both. Get the U8H. The color is amazing and no burn in risk.
Thanks so much for your work and effort. Check out the strawberry scene at 12:30. There are two ladders on the Hisense, and basically only one on the LG.

I have a 65' C1 OLED and my 65' U8H Mini LED is on the way. I can't wait to compare them myself! Great video and nfo! Thank you!!
how is the u8h vs the c1?
Great review and break down , the side by side comparison was clutch

I'm diggin' your videos, Q! Unfortunately, your word must be getting out because Best Buy has no 55" Hisense U8H tvs in stock in my state of MN!
Been a fan of Hisense since I bought one of their TV's from Walmart because it was cheap 10-ish years ago. I was extremely surprised when that $400 Hisense had a better picture than my $700 Samsung. Been on board with Hisense ever since.

Where can I find those beautiful settings for hisense u8h? I love the TV but got lots of blooming
Can you share the Settings on the C1 please. I like how it matched the u8h 😊
After watching your comparison, I just purchased the U8H. its color is fantastic. Thanks so much!

Got a u8g 65in earlier this year and am happy with it.
Thought this would be the best led so far. What’s the top of the list on led for now quantum? Thanks for the content
I'm looking at both of these as we speak. I just worry about longevity of the U8H.
Hello I am planning on hanging my u8h and am worried about angle blooming. The top of the tv would be touching the ceiling do you know if watching it from below would cause bloom and affect the blacks?
what is that APS option on the picture mode? I dont have that

What?!? I can't believe you got this done so fast! YOU ARE THE MAN! Shout out to you as always Q! No doubt you get the job done!
Just a qn : how will this differ if HiSense U8H uses IPS panel(where I am from that's the panel they use). Sucks they use Vidaa OS
Which 65" do you recommend I'm not a gamer just tv and movies

Dude, you've really have me confused now. I was really going for the C1. Now I don't know.
Hey Q hope you see this question on getting 75”U8H or 65” C1 or C2? I think you said before that 75”U8H is ips thanks brother PLEASE HELP 😊
How can I find your u8g settings
Now that the u8h 65" is $849 after rebate. Would it be the undisputed value king?
yessir! 😁👍
I'm late to the game... My Vizio M series died this past weekend and purchased the U8H in 65" as a replacement and can't wait for delivery.
Does the u8h burn in the screen..?🤔
Just ordered 55inch u8h for $649 all-in…thoughts. I kind of wanted to go bigger 65 might be too big for room 60 would be perfect 55 is 5 inches bigger than current Vizio. Also, 65 inch was like $600 more
65 inch in now at Bestbuy for $999 with a Hisense $100 back and 2 year warranty.
LG C1 Is the winner no doubt just look at the color on LG so vibrant and gorgeous 😍
as an LG OLED owner for the last 5 years, I have two words to describe why I will NEVER buy another OLED, and of course, you probably know those 2 words. BURN IN. it's real and it sucks.
Exactly what I was waiting for! Thanks!
I have a 2015 OLED 1080p 55 inch TV. Its a great looking TV but its old being a 1st or 2nd gen OLED TV. I still will keep it as
a backup and like the 3D. I want 4K, HDR, better processing, also size at 65 inch home theater. I really want and am strongly
thinking of getting a OLED LG 65 inch at 1800 bucks , however its rarely in stock. Now I see this Hisense U8H at my local
electronic stores at 65 inch going for 900 bucks. Should I forget waiting on the OLED and get 50% off to downgrade to a LCD
LED ? I know OLED is better in many ways but is this TV really very close to the Black levels a OLED has ? Also for gaming, streaming,
motion etc.. How good does this Hisense perform ?? I don't buy into QLED or ULED, MLED etc. These are just LCD TV's using false
advertising to compete with OLED. 900 for a 65 inch TV is amazing but if it has close to OLED, high end picture then I will get it instead.
You’re a wonder worker
Im choosing between U8G and LG C1... Ik the U8H is better because mini LED.
U8G is $649
LG C1 is $799
Need to know by tomorrow. Please lmk.
What got me was the football game. The LG looking flat & pale. The Hisense looked alive with color. The scene of the girl and the view of the mountains, I loved the depth the Hisense had of the mountains verses the LG.

Man, the gaming features keep pushing me toward an LG or something else, but I really love the price on the Hisense. Can anybody confirm that the Hisense is any good for gaming?
Low end LG OLEDs are 60 Hz, so might not be the best for high frame rate gaming.
Hisense is 15ms input latency. LG is like 10-11ms. Although 15 is still pretty good. Very important thing that many don't know. LG Oleds are terrible with SDR games. Look it up. It's really weird. So LG OLED is really bad when it comes to Switches
id get the hisense but the 65 inch costs $1300 right now in canada... what a rip off
Just ordered the U8H from Best Buy today… it was priced at $699!! $450 off!
Any1 with C1 go picture hover on select mode then press 1113111 switch colorimetery to bt2020 and enjoy the pop colours. Only setting needed.
C1 looks better hands down. I just bought a u8h though.

Hi Q! Which C1 Setting were you using for this comparison?
Actually gonna get the NEW TCL MINI LED 85 inch just out for f*n unbelievable price $2000...i think is better an both of them in pic & price wise
The fact the Lgc1 is still holding up against all these great tvs , for a great price, I can’t find a reason to pay for anything unless it’s the s95b
S95B has a setting in game mode to bring out the enemies and the FPS at 120 is great.
PC Richard & Son right now selling the 75 inch U8H for $1,499.99.
The only problem is, I don't know if the panel is IPS or VA. No one has answered the question yet.
What model would this hisense be in UK?
Just got a 65U8H today .....I have an 65H9g ,65U6g,,65 H1 oled ...I brought back the H1 due to burn in...Wow this damn U8H is awesome ...Im blown away ...This is damn close to the H1...I am really shocked ...Sound isnt terrible either although all Tv's should have at least a sound bar minimum ....Its insane that this is even close to a tie ...It shoudnt be even though it truly is ...Mini Led is pretty damn awesome ....

Lol that’s a coincidence because my c1 is in the living room and tcl 6 series is in the bedroom
@@kingljay2330 my C1 77 is in living room and 75 inch Q90T is in master bedroom and I have 65 inch LG B7P upstairs
What would you pick out of the Hisense U8H (VA) vs Samsung QN85B (IPS)?
Hisense 65U8H vs TCL 835?
After using the LG C1 like an idiot ill pick the hisense this time around :D Got burn in BUT its my fault for leaving the TV on for 12+ hours a day
TCL c835 vs Hisense U8H please
can you compare U8H or C1 with QNED91 and the calibration on the QNED91, I'm sure gonna join your gang for that.
Thanks so much!! Really was hoping to snag the U8H.....but we watch a lot of football and hockey....so a bit concerned now compared to the C1.
Would the processor in apple 4K tv or shield help the motion in sports action on the Hisense U8h?
Well an OLED at the same price is a no brainer
U8H has warmer color overall
I just bought a Hisense U8G and just noticed the Sony Bravia A80j OLED is 899 for a 55 inch at a local store.
What do you think? Should I keep the Hisense or get the Sony OLED on sale?
Thank you
The hisense u8g is the better TV,
I’m happy the Hisense held its own against the C1 cause like many the C1 is out of budget for me and I see value with the Hisense
I hear that brother!
In UK we dont have U8h, but there is a7h and its similar to this one
A7h is garbage bro
The U8H is available in the UK. Check out Hisense website, 55 "is for £ 899, 65" is for £ 1199.
The A7H isn't even close to U8H. It has very poor panel (mostly IPS), with Direct Led backlight, no local dimming, 60Hz refresh rate and 350cd / m² brightness.
Do a motion comparison between the U8H vs the Sony A80j.
I wish you and others would mention the inability for the U8H to properly render 4k at 120hz. There are known hardware limitations with this TV where it massively deterirots the picture quality at 120hz 4k. This is where it falls apart compared to the C1. No firmware can fix the hardware limitations.
I just picked up the LG oled c1 65” at Costco for $899.99 plus free extended warranty
How? I just saw it online for over $2000
where you guys are buying the C1 for 1199 ? i cant find it at any price (the 55" model) like for almost a month
Try Best Buy open box, I picked up an A80J for 1100, 65 inch. If you open to that you can save hundreds. Got rid of my U7G to go oled
So uh lol not that I'm complaining but the U8H is already on sale at Amazon..... like cheap. Is that something to be worried about?
Yo, Quantum! Best Buy just dropped the 55" U8H to $699, and listed 65" @ $1399.
C1 is MUCH BETTER!!! Put the C1 on standard mode and it will blow the UG8 away.
Keep up the awesome work 🤙🏾
Warning DON'T buy tbe 75in! Its ips
Will you have settings available for the Hisense U8H uploaded soon?

Respect man 👊🏼big ups on the information as always
Anytime man! Glad I could come through for you!
how about U8H vs A80J/K. LG color by default really sucks.
Hisense image looks like yellowish color… C1 looks like more accurate color and more details on image…
Maybe get your eyes checked
one on the right looks best the OLED c1
My word. The difference between the two TVs rendering the valley in the background of the girl and the paper airplanes is astonishing. 16:30.
Really thinking about selling my c1 for the u8h for gaming I know it sounds stupid but oled for other things ain't the best.
Hisense is better
Hisense use mini led tv
@@anjumshanu7418 Which has more longevity Oled or mini led?
OLED55-H1 vs the U8H??? Anybody see a comparison please let me know,,,,,Also why u hating on the Raiders with those clips of us getting our A$$ kicked !!
Colors are subjective
After watching many of your reviews and comparisons I bought a C1.
C1
An excellent tv
Can someone tell me how that TV's are the same price? The Hisense 65" U8H is $999 and the LG C1 is $1600. This is a great video but the LG is more than 50% more expensive.
