That so many natives chose to go into the military for all intents and purposes for people that tried to take so much away from them, their language, their culture, their land, the forced Indian boarding school program is a tragedy. Respect to an extraordinary people.
I will be coming to Dubois to visit my friend this summer. I am so happy this is happening with the buffalo! Love the Native American culture! Had studied it in college and worked in the museum giving tours. I hope to visit and take it all in!
