I really appreciate you being upfront and sharing how it's going with you guys. I've been following since the days of Comment Awards #16 or something and it's been interesting to see the evolution of the channel.
Second time cowbelly has gotten me upset. I know I sound selfish but cowbelly used to be a tts meme channel. It felt like a friend rather than a corporation.
Graham stated that he did not enjoy making those tts memes. It has gotten to the point he didn’t want to hear that tts voice anymore. Also I don’t think Cowbelly has gotten corporate and soulless, it’s just so expensive to produce a relatively short amount of entertainment. These memes that were being posted were made by individual creators, and they were paid a lot more than Cowbelly made back. Cowbelly has only gained about 1/8 of the money they put in the memes.
So I don’t know of this channel has ever done anything like this before. But this is actually awesome, I thought that “Memes By Cowbelly” was a random person who spent there days hunched over a pc for hours a day. But it is so much more than that. SUPER COOL. Also I hope that this situation can subside eventually and we soon can be back to epic daily memes💜

We understand that generating revenue is extremely difficult with CZcams shorts, especially for a channel where hundreds of creators are contributing. I will surely miss the daily memes that made our day but I'm excited to see the new content going forward.

The evolution of this channel is very personal, interesting, and sad, they started as one of the many, annoying, irritating, dime-a-trillion text to speech meme you tubers, I was so annoyed that they wouldn’t get out of my recommended list. But they ended up becoming one of my favorite subscriptions on CZcams after the original memes started rolling in. They made funny content, and while made by other people, not stolen, it was genuinely impressive, and to see only negative things come from CZcams, all the unfair copyright enforcement, it’s just sad. All the people who yell and throw tantrums about ‘tHe tEXt tO spEeCH coNteNt beINg bETteR.’ It’s so extremely sad what this channel has been put through. Cowbelly later just said "nah fuck you" just as another update was going to release. The game had only been out for 2 weeks at that point and it was cancelled. The server then went on a downwards spiral of a shit ton of rebrands and over-strict staff members, devolving into a shell of its former self. All because of that one domino struck by cowbelly
