  • Hello, so I've heard this song before when it first came out, but I have not seen the MV. Today I'm finally reacting to the video and seeing it for the first time. Please enjoy!

Yeah, have to agree, From Now On is a fantastic composition. I'm not much into ranking the instrumentals, but I think FNO just has as different mood, with all the ascending and descending lines, then ending with that soaring climax.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this song performed flawlessly in Tokyo as 12th song in the setlist and Band-Maid played it in 12 out of 13 US concerts as 8th to 11th song. (It was the 9th in San Diego you saw). Most of the audience at those venues had, of course, already known their skills and talents. When I heard that they played this instrumental piece as opening at Aftershock on Oct. 9 and at Saitama Super Arena on Nov.6 (as support to Guns N' Roses), I felt very proud of them. Yeah! they showed off their skills and talents to the audience who did not know who the girls in maid outfit on the stage were. I felt as if I heard them screaming "Hey guys! Listen to us and open your eyes wide! We are not the persons that you think ! Salute us!" 😄

    Thanx for sharing!
Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" was featured in the movie "Mighty Thor". AC/DC's "Shoot to Thrill" was in the "Iron Man". Then, what movie would be suitable for this epic instrumental song by Band-Maid?? Godzilla?
Also, I couldn't agree more about Kanami's playing style. When I watched the guitar cover for "H-G-K" (it's hard to find the videos featuring Kanami's hands focused), I was like, jaw dropping. There were so many different type of technics were played in just one song.

MISA MISA MISA!!!!! I heard (can't find the source) that MISA uses capitals to differentiate between Herself and all the Misa Guitarists (apparently there are a LOT)

I call this the Mincho Effect, Po! "...They found that experienced guitar players were found to deactivate the conscious part of their brain extremely easily meaning they were able to activate the unconscious, creative and less practical way of thinking more efficiently. This particular area of the brain - the right temporoparietal junction - typically deactivates with ‘long term goal orientation’ in order to stop distractions to get goals accomplished. This was in contrast to the non-guitarists who were unable to shut off the conscious part of their brain which meant they were consciously thinking more about what they were playing. This isn’t to say that this unconscious way of playing can’t be learnt. Since the brain’s plasticity allows new connections to be made depending on repeated practice, the guitar player’s brain can be developed over time but it’s something about playing the guitar in particular that allows this magic to happen." (Marchal, 2019). The article and research study (linked) is cited here: Marchal J. Science says guitar players' brains are different from others'. Now, go and meditate with your band, Po! 🧘🦍
