This movie was groundbreaking. If you weren’t there to see it at the time of release, you will never truly understand how different it was from anything else before it.
“Dark City” is “The Matrix” a year before “The Matrix” came out.

Fun fact: Oracle never said Neo is not the one, he said it himself. Also: she correctly predicted he needs to die in order to become the one by saying he's waiting for another life. That script is on another level.
Yep and fundamentally, Neo isn't the one until he believes it himself.
And her bringing him back wasn't just some magic trick to bring the story to a desired end. The disconnection between the conscious and subconscious that Morpheus alludes to earlier in the movie ("the mind makes it real") explains his regeneration. The only reason the body dies in the real world if the mind dies in the Matrix is because of the mind's inability to fully accept reality. The conscious mind is "freed" through training, but the subconscious still hangs on to the delusion. This is why Morpheus and Trinity and the others aren't as fast and powerful as the agents. When Neo died in the Matrix, his subconscious was accepting its fate, hence bringing about his death in the real world. Trinity's kiss was at just the right timing to communicate to his subconscious in the Matrix that what he just experienced isn't real. It's like if you're dreaming and something suddenly happens to make you realize you're dreaming. In a lucid dream, you have some control of what's going on! Neo's subconscious is freed from the Matrix at that moment, and recognizes that he's not dead in reality. He's regenerated, and now with the power of his mind *fully* freed from the Matrix, is able to exercise some measure of control *over* it.

@@Oleoay The message is not about "believing in oneself" (per see), it's about letting oneself die (spiritually), referring to the old nature, through faith in another who gives Neo his identity (Trinity/God/Jesus Christ). It is not a believing in "myself", it's death to oneself due to belief in The Savior, Jesus Christ, who gives a person his new identity in him, and embodying that identity by becoming "One" with Christ.

Otherwise, without this context, "belief in oneself" necessarily strengthens the old man (see the Matrix 4), *Thomas Anderson,* which causes him to reject Jesus Christ and be bound by the Matrix.
In other words, "believe in yourself" (which is the world's wisdom/what the world teaches) is anti-truth (it opposes the knowledge of God by its very nature). It's a deception. It is, by its very nature, the blue pill.
24 years old and still better than the vast majority of movies released in the last decade. Amazing
Lots of peeps don't notice that the Matrix scenes all have a bleak green tinge to them, where the real world is normal color.
Also, the topic of the matrix is more relevant today than it ever was. A.I.

@@mihailgromov1 I still have T2 on VHS from a yard sale back in 2000, when I was 9 years old. I can't even calculate how many times I watched it as a kid and teenager. SO GOOD! I also saw The Matrix for the first time around then. I was spoiled with great action films as a youth lol
I love when Agent Smith explodes and Neo is standing there. Neo doesn't flex his muscles, he flexes the world around him.

I remember literally walking out of the theatre afterwards into the dark and my best friend and I just stopped and were looking around. We weren't the only ones. Talk about trippy. 😂
This idea is found in both Gnosticism and Buddhism.
The Truman Show was the first lol. Late nineties had a slew of meta-reality stories. Roger Ebert said The Truman Show was the first original story concept he’d seen in a while. Which is basically just The Matrix, but kinda funny.
Imagine 3 high school kids coming out of the theatre and the first person to catch our eye is a guy in a black suit and sunglasses with a white earpiece and slicked back hair.
I don't think we could've possibly noped TF out any faster than we did. 😅
I drove home with my sun glasses on at like 12:30am. Lol. One of the best theater going experiences I ever had. Blew away The Phantom Menace the same year
Neo having to accept a cookie before the oracle will interact with him is such a fun piece of program related writing. The oracle (a program) required Neo to enable cookies.
Also, this movie pioneered the special effects that we today take for granted, but watching this back in 1999 was literally jaw-dropping.
Good theory, accept she did interact with him and only offered the cookie at the end of their interaction.
OK, I've seen the movie when it came out and my jaw stayed dropped all the way out of the movie theatre.
But the cookie bit... I was today days old.

One of my favorite pieces of foreshadowing in any movie is when Neo asks, "I can dodge bullets?" And Morpheus says, "When the time comes, you won't have to." Made the ending that much more satisfying.

This movie was groundbreaking for its time. One of the lines that stood out to me was when Mobius tells Neo: "There's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path." You can apply that to everyday life.
this phrase is a reference to Nietzsche in "Thus Spoke Zarathustra"

I love how many people still miss that Trinity is into Neo. Maybe because in fiction it's usually guys falling in love with girls by stalking them. 😄 The whole movie starts with Cypher saying she likes to watch him
3:31 it took me way too long to realize there was a bit of a time differential in this opening scene, that when Agent Smith says "your men are already dead", it's because they're _literally_ already dead, so the agents have no hosts to jump in to.

I haven't checked all the movies to be totally sure but my theory is that the machines can't lie, that everything they say is by their nature absolute truth, at least from their point of view. The Agents, Architect, Oracle, whoever, they can have opinions and emotions but if you ask them a factual question their response isn't so much what they think as it is what they *know* based on their superhuman awareness of the state of the matrix. This means a lot of what they say can be taken more ways than it might seem at first, because the machines are accidentally delivering prophecy, not just being sassy.
The line "I think we can handle one little girl"... "No Lieutenant your men are already dead". One of the greatest action film movie lines ever.
“He went E Honda on him” was the best line in this reaction!!!! BJ , keep bringing up these old school references! I love it!!!!!

1999 was a stellar year for movies with crazy twists. "The Matrix", "The Sixth Sense", and "Fight Club" and even "Galaxy Quest" and "The Green Mile" all had unconventional and unexpected changes in the plot that set them all apart from other movies at the time.
They were all original too, not sequels, remakes, or reboots. The percentage of original Hollywood films now is a lot less unfortunately, it's mostly moved to streaming services.

Everyone was leaving it all out on the field in case technology destroyed us in "Y2K." As a 10-year-old at the time, I thought Y2K was going to be what COVID was lol

The Matrix definitely takes a few viewings to really understand the true depth of the story overall. You guys did great for your very first time watching. At this point I’ve seen this movie about 1000 times so I’m impressed how well you picked up on things the first time. Trust me, you’ll understand everything much better the next time you watch it. One of my all-time favorite movies!

They can watch it about a 100 hundred times more and still never reach the depths you're expecting them to.
There's something called knowledge and intellectual abilities, and they lack both to ever sink deep enough to touch and understand this movie's real themes. They're okay for an entertaining reaction about a puddle deep plot, but as soon as it gets a bit more complex, they're at sea and the story flies a few miles above their heads. Not that they're the only ones on CZcams, mind.
Take them for what they are, a cheeseburger when you're hungry after a heavy drinking night and there's nothing else to eat.
This was SUCH a mind-f--k when it first came out, NOBODY had seen anything like it. Besides a crazy story full of deep philosophical concepts, the effects were next level. They had to design and implement completely new camera setups and systems to get those floating-in-air 360 camera scenes and this was one of the first movies to make extensive use of green screen in a way that didn't look hokey or fake.
It's SO fun to watch people watch this for the first time, it's such a mind-blowing experience!

The whole build up from the beginning of the movie to entering the real world is absolute perfection. I had no clue what was going on first time watching. The slow motion 360 craze started with this movie. Everyone had to put it in their action movies. After a while it became a spoof.
By the way, the red switch at the end is an EMP or Electromagnetic Pulse. It is a very high voltage field that scrambles electronics within its range. When the crew turned the red switch it generated the field and disabled the Sentinels. It was their only defense against them, but they can't use it while people are in the Matrix because it would disable all the equipment that is responsible for them connecting to the Matrix as well! That's why they had to wait for Neo to get out of the Matrix before they could use it.
The fact that this came out nearly a quarter century ago and is still absolutely amazing blows my mind. I used to watch this over and over in a great home theater and some scenes would shake things off the walls.
This is the ONE movie I wish I could see again for the first time. It's by far my favorite movie of all time. I saw it in theater when I was 15. I hope you enjoyed this one.

Same. My father came back home one evening, when I was about 12 or 13, and was like "let's go, we're watching a movie, I heard it's great", and I had no idea what it was, went totally blind, not even saw a trailer (thankfully). Needless to say, my mind was blown.

I am a proud mama of young black woman, who is a 2 time black belt. I got to give a speech at her 2nd ceremony and I used the line from the Matrix. I use to watch it every night while pregnant with her (we couldn’t afford cable or anything at that time). Martial arts is about NOT fighting. I spoke about her journey, from being bullied to 2nd degree black belt, learning self control and confidence and how I told her she was learning how not to fight.I ended her speech with so when she asks me ‘you’re telling me I can dodge bullets?’ I looked at her and said no baby..now that you’re ready, you don’t have to.
To this day I remember the first time I saw this at the theater. I remember I treated my aunt. She agreed to drive, I paid for the tickets. She’s not a sci fi/action movie watcher. Tyler Perry is more her speed. She was actually engrossed and was enjoying the movie as we all were. When this came out all of our collective minds were blown.
We had a long conversation after the movie. She actually thanked me for dragging her to see it because she never would have experienced it otherwise. I think that opened her up in a way to try new things.
That was a good day.

Watched this recently with my 13 year old son, and to say he was (still) blown away by the effects and stunts almost 25 years later speaks volumes. It still kind of holds up, across the board. Few movies can say that, especially action/sci-fi.
I saw it in theaters with a friend and my dad when I was 13!! 😁👍
Still holds up amazingly well because of a really good storyline. How people know their life isn’t but a dream like the song Row Row Row Your Boat.

A good movie will always stay a good movie. They had passion about every aspect back then. Nowadays on the other hand, not so much.
Now watch Inception!
The first scene with Trinity, the 360 camera rotation effect, was the most expensive scene in history by that time, and long after, so yeah, the special effects were mind blowing back then, and so so original they still make an impression on people.
‘Agents’ are like Norton Antivirus. Neo and Friends are evasive rogue programs. The timing of this movie was perfect because it was at the height of the computer craze and they took full advantage. Great reaction guys as always!

06:00 Cinderella, LOL. The white rabbit is a reference to 'Alice in Wonderland', often referenced in other movies and song. Morpheus references it again when he tells Neo he will show him how far down the rabbit hole goes. Morpheus is also the name for the king of dreams in classic literature. This movie is packed with symbolism and little subtle things throughout.
You two should check out another Morpheus, aka Dream, in the series Sandman.
This is amazing. It’s always fun watching people experience the matrix for the first time. I wish I could have that mind-blowing experience again. I was 19 years old when this movie came out in 1999. It blew me away. ❤❤❤

This movie has stood the test of time much better than most. It was truly revolutionary when it was released, changed and influenced a LOT of things in how movies are made, and has even more relevance in the world of today than it did back then.
Even though the ideas weren’t necessarily individually original, I think it was just the right time for those ideas to be put together like this, provoking thoughts and entertaining.
Anybody else remember all the huge controversy when this movie came out? And then Columbine happened and the media blamed the Matrix for it. 😐
@@chrisofstars I forgot about that. I remember all the ties to Doom, due to the shooters playing constantly. Even a lawsuit from the parents against ID software. I constantly forget that the matrix was made in 1999. And at that point the internet was a baby. It wasn’t this social construct it is now. My 70 year old uncle just watched it and I wanna question him.
@@dojomaster1987 Yeah the Matrix launch was not all roses.. it was attacked by the media relentlessly when it was fresh. The shooter wore a trench coat like Neo so they linked it to the Matrix. I'm glad people tend to forget about all that and now we can just judge the movie on its own merits without bias creeping in. Cuz its a great movie, Wachowskis didn't deserve all that negative attention. And yes 90s/00s internet was a fun time. AIM chat and Napster. And copyright material on CZcams flowed like water.

They developed a completely new version of slow motion just for/during the making of ‘The Matrix’. And it being used for the scenes where Neo first dodges bullets is why it is called “bullet time”. I love this movie and I’m glad y’all have enjoyed it so much!
Bullet Time was in Blade before The Matrix. And probably somewhere before Blade lol.

Actually the 1st iteration of "Bullet Time" was in the video game "Avenging Angel" by UbiSoft and was later made famous by the best selling hit "Max Payne" originally released for the PlayStation (later known as "PlayStation one") after the release of "The Matrix" in theaters.

This movie was so far ahead of it's time.I have seen this movie at least 20 times and I find something new everytime.The thing that destroyed the sentinals was an EMP.The end scene when he sees all the Matrix as computer codes,Neo was one with the Matrix hence him being called The One

To say this movie was groundbreaking, and inspirational is an understatement. This movie changed everything.
The look on Asia's face when the phone in the subway is destroyed and it's just Neo and the Agent, is everything lol.
You have to give it some time, then watch it again. The amount of esoteric wisdom that is expressed in this movie is amazing. The blank screen on his desk at work. The white rabbit message. The line "my own personal Jesus Christ". The training session, "you think that's air you're breathing". Spoon Boy, "There is no spoon." The oracle and her explanation of knowing when you're in love... or the One. The list goes on and on. All of it depicts the mystic view that our world isn't real, and only when you transcend the physical world can you understand it.
It's a double semester of philosophy of religion and ontology, compressed into a lot of explosions and pretty people in tight black clothing, with a fine spray of information science to give it that 21st century gloss.

The switch they turn at the end is an EMP. They discuss it earlier in the movie. It doesn't just "kill the signal," it disables all electronics in the blast radius. So it disabled both the sentinels and their own ship, which is why they couldn't use it until Neo was safely out of the Matrix.
Not disables, it fries it, especially semiconductors. Only very primitive electric parts or heavily shielded and specifically designed electronics can survive EMP. It still depends on the pulse power though - really nasty ones can even burn wires, but such power currently could be only achieved by a nuclear blast, so the electronics would be destroyed together with its users anyways.

@@jeezuschryst still too much ambiguity - people tend to think that something being "disabled" by EMP could be "enabled" shortly after, often on its own, which is not the case.
@@evilbabai7083 You'd think the AIs would have guarded against it lol but hey its a movie and we could for certain make an EMP that powerful without a nuke wouldn't be easy but it would be so powerful that it wouldn't be useful too widespread but these days things even common things are somewhat more hardened against low level emp
The fact that the oracle said "You got the gift, but you waiting for something... your next life maybe" makes much more sense at the end.
BJ with the best references, "He better call Saul." Time to react to the rest of the series.
What will really blow your mind is that The Matrix is a Buddhist film. Getting out of the Matrix equates to the realisation of "emptiness" through meditation, and Neo becoming The One at the end equates to the realisation of your Buddha-nature and becoming an enlightened being. We all need to walk this path and wake up to our true nature.
This one's in my personal TOP 5 of ALL TIME.
1 viewing simply isn't enough for this one. It's DEEP and WAY ahead of it's time!
I think you might enjoy Brain Scan. Written by Dee Snider of Twisted Sister and stars the kid from Terminator 2. Edward Furlong.
Oh and a Canadian movie called CUBE. I'd go with cube over brain scan but both are good.

This is the most Buddhist film Holywood has ever produced, apart from Kundun.
@@robertcampomizzi7988 Temet Nosce can be seen on a sign by the door inside the Oracles kitchen.
I am not certain with the 303 but I've always felt it to be a multi-part meaning. If Neo apartment is 101 then the room Trinity is in at the start of the movie being 303 fits. Additionally, 303 is also used when Neo is attempting to escape from the agents. Since Trinity is in love with the "1" that in turn makes her his escape.
Also, 303 is a synth board commonly used in 90's techno and tracking. Thus, the use of a 303 in a 90's elctro-punk-love movie is fitting. If I am not mistaken a few of the songs used in the film had common use of 303's and some might have even mentioned it in their lyrics
It's hard to imagine, but this was when a theatrical release got even more attention than, say, Stranger Things or The Last of Us or Squid Game -- everyone knew about this movie and went out to see it ASAP, and it had this ripple effect across the whole industry. It was a different time.
Was it one of those everything tried to be it movies? Like when movies were all trying to be dark, gritty and Batman.
Coulda been close to a starwars level event, it's just we had a bit more channels and options so it wasn't as all consuming. . . even though it did seem to endless eat for a few years

@@jayeisenhardt1337 The first one took everyone by surprise to be honest. The trailers were really good, but the story was vague at best. When the second one released, entire movie theater complexes were dedicating as many theaters as they could sell tickets for to the midnight release. I remember we went and got let into the theater at 10pm and had to wait until midnight. One of the best experiences I've ever had at a movie theater. as far as theaters, I believe they sold out every seat in every theater, this was in Las Cruces, NM.
The trailer was very memorable and created so much buzz, mostly for the Bullet Time scene while also avoiding any spoilers.
Agent Smith knew where Neo was going at the end because it was the same room Trinity was in at the beginning of the movie, The phone for Trinity to get out of the Matrix was in room 303 the room she was watching Neo from, I think it is the first sign of Cyphers betrayal, He says to Trinity you weren't supposed to relieve me, I think he was expecting Morphius to relieve him and then the agents who were tracing the call, she asked him if he was sure the line was clean, she heard the trace start. When Morphius was talking to Trinity he said they cut the hard line you'll need to find another exit. So I think Cypher was supposed to give Morphius up in the beginning of the movie and Smith remembered and was waiting in the room where he was supposed to be before where the movie starts with Trinity instead of I think Morphius who Cypher thought was taking over from him watching Neo.

OMG yes!!!! this movie was groundbreaking and you'll see why, it literally was the first of its kind. This movie quite literally marks the New Age of how movies would be made in the future. Casting Lawrence Fishburne in this movie was the greatest thing that they ever did. He brings a certain energy to this movie that is unmatched, he will forever be Morpheus, and no one can take his place. In my opinion one of the greatest top five fight scenes of all time in a movie is the simulation fight scene between Morpheus and neo. Freaking amazeballs!!!!!

The slow mo cgi shots in this film completely changed the face of cinema as we know it. It was first of it’s kind back then everyone was talking about it no one ever seen anything like this, those effects aged so beautifully!

This movie blew our minds, opened our minds, you name it; especially since we were right before the millennium and everyone was guessing what would come in the year 2000. you can watch part 2 and part 3 if you want, but imho it's not necessary at all. This one was the one 😊 just like Neo.

The philosophy of the Matrix was so different..." Is this world real?"...it was groundbreaking. Some colleges offered actual classes to talk about it. This movie had that much of an impact... Way ahead of it's time!! Great movie to react to, and awesome that you enjoy it!!

The trilogy is interesting and pretty fun to think about. (I haven't seen the fourth movie yet-- someday soon!) But the first movie, as a standalone story, is amazing and revolutionary. Cyberpunk was already 30 years old but as far as revolutionary takes, it's basically this and TRON.

When this came out, I was 16 and went to see this in the theater. And it blewwww my mind. I immediately fell in love. So amazing ^_^ I'm glad people are watching it now, but I do wish they could have seen it under the same context as we did in 1999. It was so revolutionary. Although the subject matter is relevant as ever
It was an "Electro Magnetic Pulse" weapon, when they use it it disables all elecronics so it kills the sentinals but also would sever the connection to the matrix so they had to wait for neo to get out before they used it.
Watching that transition from the Matrix into the real world was like a paradigm shift. It turned everything that what I thought was happening completely upside down. I liked the clues before that, like calling Neo a "coppertop", like he's nothing more than a battery powering the Matrix. I was thinking hair color at the time, which didn't fit. It was amazing watching this the first time.
Almost 25 years old now and STILL one of the COOLEST MOVIES EVER. Wish I was old enough to experience it in theaters in ‘99. If they re-release it, I’m THERE!!!
There was a pirate copy of the film around 1 week before it was released and the quality was horrible, but my friend and I wanted to watch it anyways. After the first scene we decided to wait for the theatrical release, and boy, we were right. It was something we've never seen before on the big screen. Both of us beeing huge behind the scenes nerds we were discussing how the f**k they did all the effects
This movie is so perfect. Watch the next 2 back to back as one experience and it helps a lot, these movies are deeply philosophical and a great experience. It’s been 20 years and I still think about this movie all the time

If you want the backstory of the Matrix, you need to watch the _Animatrix,_ a series of animated stories about the Matrix, especially the ones entitled "The Second Renaissance" (Parts 1 AND 2) which tell the story of how the war started and how it ended.
I remember when this first came out; there was nothing like it at the time. I saw it alone in the theater and I didn't know what the movie was about at all. I friend recommended it, but refused to say anything more. Talk about being blown away! Even today and after a few sequels, this first one is still excellent.
Great reaction! The reason the agent knew where the phone was because it was the same room from the beginning where Trinity was. Every time I rewatch it I appreciate the Oracle scene more and more. Whether it was self-fulfilling prophecy or not is a great discussion but she was right: Neo had to wait till "his next life" to be The One. Another great moment was when Neo decided to save Morpheus. At that moment in time Neo still thought he wasn't the One but he was starting to believe the Oracle and she said that Neo would chose who dies between him and Morpheus so Neo truly believed he could save Morpheus at the cost of his own life which is exactly what happened. The whole movie is filled with very settle and unsettle messages about believe.
P.s. The whole trilogy is great. The second and third movies are part of the original story concept but they were filmed a bit latter and expand the story quite drastically which causes a perceived disconnect between the Original and the sequels but keep in mind that it is one whole story and a great trilogy that comes full circle at the end of film 3.
They had other parts in the animated one and the game actually that gives you more information about stuff in the background that was going on, it was brilliant!
The story is mostly great, but there were several scenes in both sequels that dragged them down a bit.
Actually the trilogy is tact on and generally poor. When you make a character have full control of the Matrix where he is light years faster than Agents in fighting, can blow up agents, can fly, and can stop bullets, it is kind of hard to make a serious sequel. You end up having to stick with he can only do the specific things he did in the first movie and not even all that. Basically in the sequels he is no longer faster than everything including agents in the matrix, can no longer explode agents, can stop bullets but for some reason has to participate in sword fights where he moves at normal speed, and other corny bits.
@unidentified guy The reasons given for why he can do things make sense within the story. While they're not as good as the first one, I think it's an overexaggeration to call them tacked on.
The Oracle knew Neo wasn't the One, because the One is actually Agent Smith.
the thing he turned at the end was an EMP charge, they said something about it earlier in the movie, that essentially killed any of those sentinels that were in the area. BUT they had to wait until neo was out of the matrix because it would fuck up their systems also and wouldnt have been able to recover him.
50:20 - to clarify, when Morpheus talks about the battery, his point is that the machines have turned People into batteries. The amount of bio-electricity produced by the brain and body is harnessed and used to power the machine city.
The soundtrack scores of the Matrix series are absolutely timeless!
The only soundtrack that I bought myself (I have a few, but except for that one, they were birthday/Christmas gifts). It's always in my car, it's just the perfect music for driving on the autobahn.

The language from The Matrix has become daily language, so it was really cool to see you both realize that you knew certain terms but didn't know you knew them from here. B.J. on the red/blue pill, Asia on "living in the Matrix." This was one of several movies that were released in 1999 exploring the theme of the white collar malaise and the office cubicle as jail cell trope, and the one that stuck most in the culture.
I really love how you talk about the movie after it’s over!! It’s about belief - letting go of what you see and trusting what you know and believe. At the end he finally believed that it all wasn’t real and then he could control the outcome. Seeing isn’t believing- Believing is seeing! This is one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time- I saw it in the theaters and I’m still thinking about it!! 🤩

When this movie came out it was such a new thing. The word Epic comes to mind. The clothes they wore, and especially the sunglasses, were (and still are) fashion!
Those sunglasses including the handle free one will always be in fashion and as anticlimactic as they say the outfits were it’s actually not leather and not just latex it was a special blend of fabrics that allowed flexibility of movement so they did consider mobility factors not only fashion. This is just a masterpiece and will never get tired of watching first time reactions to it.
I’m going to provide some context: “The One” is a being with restrictions turned off. Once Neo understood the code around him, he could see it and manipulate it around him (turn off gravity to fly or stop bullets). Agent Smith is a program that has become too self-aware of his situation, that being: once Zion (the last human settlement is destroyed) the machines will have no use for Agents like himself. In the end Neo attempted to overwrite his code and destroy him. Keyword is *attempted*. You’ll have to watch the sequels to understand more. Oh and don’t worry I WILL RETURN to provide more context.
The robots that were attacking them at the end didn't just disappear. The EMP pulse destroyed their circuitry, it just permanently disabled them. So they were still there, it just didn't matter, because they were all broken.
I have recently found you guys and really enjoy watching these. Thank you. I was about 25 when this came out. Still an amazing movie in many areas. Love watching your reactions.

The "button" was the on off switch to an EMP device. The button sent out a wave and the blast made all electronics within it stop working.
love watching yall watch these movies..after this movie Keanu said the Matrix isn't a movie, but a documentary..if u think about it, we might not be physically plugged into a matrix, but everything we do, hear and see comes thru a screen or computer or some digital form..we're told what's true and what to believe and to a great degree our minds are controlled as far as what info we get and how we get it..we live lives that aren't even totally based on reality anymore..hard to describe exactly in words..like we're connected wirelessly to the internet and only when we free our mind to think for ourselves do we start to wake up to all the lies and BS..anyway, yall great together👊

This movie is an actual gamechanger with ripple effects still being felt to this day. Amazing stuff.
What they did differently and unique for the first time in this movie was in the recording of bullet time. They created a framework which held over 100 still cameras (film type, as digital cameras didn't have the resolution then). They fired the cameras in sequence by computer, processed the film, and then stitched the individual frames together to make the video.
Asia's face during the rebirth/awakening scene is everything!!
