- Daniel Lozakovich has been dreaming about recording the Beethoven Violin Concerto since he was eight. He first performed it on stage when he was thirteen, and at fifteen was invited by Valery Gergiev to perform the concerto with him in Moscow. A few short years later, he has reunited with his mentor Gergiev to record the concerto with the Münchener Philharmoniker for DG.
Lozakovich was clear from the start that this should be a live recording: “There’s a particular magic about a live concert,” he explains. “The audience creates a unique atmosphere, without which, in my opinion, it’s almost impossible to produce a performance that will stand the test of time.” - Hudba
It simply doesn't get any better than this, the Beethoven concerto. I hope Daniel Lozakovich will make a recording of the Mendelssohn concerto in the near future with all its sublime exuberance.
I always forget Daniel's physical age because he's so in depth with his music, playing with a soul that understands and expresses like he's got decades of experience. I hope to see and hear him perform LIVE one day.

I don’t quite understand either. I got it through iTunes. But I cannot see it in North American, only audio. So I went to UK and the video is shown on all the platforms.

It’s less than $10. Less than the price of the audio. For me I love watching his performance which Is elegant like his music and never display any over dramatic movements.
