- In this video (Part-1) I’m going to show you how I have fixed the cordless electric drill issue. Issue= isn’t run for long and short-circuit noise from the BMS. The problem is with the Push Button Trigger Switch DC 7.2-24V, which causes later on the issue with the 5S 21V BMS charger board of this drill battery pack. Throughout this video, I have done several troubleshootings to identify the exact causes of failure.

Nice video. The Part I really wanted to see was the bit you missed out. Taking out the contacts from the board and dc port and how you used them in the battery connector. I bought the bms to give good contacts for battery adapters I need

i have a similar battery for my electric saw and i was trying to charge the battery with my rc charger via jack but charger cannot find battery , should i solder cables on bms with xt60 ? if yes where do i have to connect the xt60

@Pinki Chowdhury , They are called adhesive insulation rings. If you write specific number of the lithium cell you will get the exact one. for example - "18650 adhesive insulation ring".
After done soldering, you must charge to active the bms. Learn from sorin

I have successfully used 12v car battery with 12v dewalt drill . You can try other led acid small battery?
I use the tester on the 20 A range and measure every single element for a few seconds
the test leads are schunt resistor
good batteries exceed 30A

Check MOSFET first in inbuilt bms
I’ve thought it, but this inbuilt BMS is a waste. I wonder how still it’s work with just one high power low internal MOS at least it should have 2or more to balance; poorly built. No Temperature NTC either, hence decided to move on to a replacement. Thanks
@@LahisTechLT some Bosch 18v batteries doesn't use bms,but they also works fine for long time
There life mainly depends on cells used
@@LahisTechLT There is very much a temperature NTC present which can clearly be seen @ 3.19, the small black plastic dot surrounded by white plastic protection.
The power switch have 1 ic and 1 fet , you can prepair the switch !

The test leads were too thin. Any more current or time and they would have melted.

It took only 2 hour to show you the real capacity? Mine is liitokala but it take at least 7-15h to test the capacity
If it's only 900 mAh it shouldn't take much longer than that.
All good if you are doing this as a for profit business. For the average person the cost of special spot welder, battery testers, misc tools and parts is too much. You could replace your old battery packs for new ones several times over and simply plug them in to the tool. So thanks but No thanks.
