You really don't get much from these engrams. Even with 3 perks per column after fully ranking up, it is STILL a toss up whether or not it was worth the time invested.

Of course they do it on purpose. You wouldn't keep gambling if you got what you wanted. The first game of Gambit I ever played I got a Bottom Dollar and never saw another one again. It's rigged to suck you in. Great video by the way.
And friends who stop playing or come back after a long time, suddenly get the best perk combinations ON TOP of the rarest drops.
