A farewell request from Perez and a farewell thanks from the fifth grade PS22 Chorus of 2009 to the man who was the driving force behind putting the kids on the map. After posting 5 of their videos this school year alone, Perez Hilton has brought millions of viewers, both directly and indirectly, into the world of the PS22 Chorus. Big thanks for believing in these kids, and for raising awareness to the importance of music and the arts in education. Indebted.
So when I found out he wanted a Lady Gaga song, I was a little petrified! I honestly didn't know if we could pull something like that off. But the kids were asking for Lady Gaga themselves, so I put it on them to rewrite some of the lyrics to "Just Dance" to make it something that would be okay for school. And with just a little lyrical tweaking on their part, they totally recreated this song. I dare say ithey completely ROCK IT!!! Along with the two Tori Amos (Flavor and Gold Dust) and Bjork (One Day, Joga) songs we did this year, this might be my favorite cover out of this year's group. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! And as you see the kids do too!
Tirzah sounds absolutely amazing on the leads, and makes you remember why she won the PS22 American Idol 3 last year when she was in 4th grade with the Leona Lewis song, Bleeding Love (check it out if you haven't seen it! • PS22 Chorus Tirzah "BL... )
And Mariah does an awesome rap and adds her incredible charm and personality to the video all around! - Hudba
The lead singer is my niece. She sings even better now. God bless all of these kids.

I was thinkin they need to follow up, I have been moved to tears by this video over the years so many times!!!
She is still doing music, but it's not for free anymore.... lol. But you just might here her on your radio one day!
Oh and her name is Tirzah. If you look up ps.22 chorus you can find more videos of her singing. The following year that video was made the chorus performed at the Oscar's with Katy Perry

I am a music director at a church in Northeast Florida as well as a current composition major at a local University and I must say, that this is why we must keep music and art in schools. I can see it in these kids' eyes that they see you as a saint. Please keep doing this, they will never forget you!

who doesn't like that? God, did you see how happy those kids are? How beautifully they sing and dance during the chorus? I just found out about this chanel like, 15 minutes ago, and I'm in love with it. I've traveled the world, I've seen so many beautiful things in my life, but nothing can be as beautiful as making those great kids so happy. Well done, teacher. And well done, kids. You are amazing.

Why isn’t this on TV? Why don’t we have more of this in the mainstream? This is real. I’m just gob smacked! The only issue I have is that I needed to go bed almost an hour ago, but I can’t stop listening and watching these amazing kids and teacher do what they do. I’m dusting off my checkbook and donating to the arts right now!

I’ve been listening to this all day
I just discovered these kids and their amazing teacher, Mr. Breinberg, a few days ago, and they are now my morning inspiration. I watch a video or in the morning and they put me into a happy, positive, inspired mood to start the day. They give me hope for the future of America, and the world! Thank you Mr. Breinberg for "seeing" them and giving them hope for their own future. What the world needs now is LOVE, and MUSIC and ART in schools!!!
Me too!!! Even if I was a 5th grader 41 years ago!! Wow!!! What an awesome teacher. The children are both talented and are lucky enough to have such a terrific, dedicated teacher. I love watching the kids' faces - they truly get a great deal of enjoyment from singing! And this little girl is a superstar. Great voice!
What a teacher. The more vids i see the more I'm speechless bout teacher's achievement and engagement. Instead of fighting during the breaks, kids are convinced of teacher's work and they start to get a group passion which leads them just to be happy. The teacher is happy, the kids are happy, and we are happy while watching that.

We really need something like this in all of the schools in the U.S. What an amazing idea and concept you have here. You show your for your kids, the material, and you show how much you care. A teacher like you is what all the kids need in order to be successfull Good job!!!!

I see an amazing, incredible, inspirational teacher behind this brilliance. As a teacher, it brings me to tears of inspiration... like seeing something holy or sacred... great job, teacher, they are as lucky to have you...
Right on to teachers who put their heart and passion into their work...If only this were the norm, we would not have the drop out rate and school failures that we see all to often. These children are so fortunate to be able to have fun while learning a beautiful art. I am quite sure their love for this teacher motivates them to do well in all classes. KUDOS TO YOU ALL!!!!!

They seems genuinely happy. When's the last time we parents witnessed a school concert/recital where the children seemed really happy and involved in whatever they were performing?
Big ups to the teacher. Passion and talent is what makes things like this happen. Millions of views and changed many of the kids lives for the better.
