He did write in one of his Doctor Who production diaries that he has a problem with crowds, but in this case I would guess - and I emphasise it is a guess - that he is in a state of nervous breakdown at the very low viewing figures. I say that from personal knowledge of a breakdown. He is putting on a brave face but he must surely be stressed to breaking point as the showrunner. He is sweating profusely and words are just tumbling out of his mouth on an instinctual basis rather than with any consideration. I doubt the BBC will be around by the time the charter comes up for renewal in 27/28, and Disney is currently bankrupting itself with a series of costly failures so both corporations will be looking to cut costs, so a series with ratings as bad as we saw with DW episodes 1 and 2 will be of prime consideration. The two episodes were shown one after the other and still managed to lose 200,000 viewers. Not good. I really hate what he has done with the show but I feel sorry for him too.

Bringing back RTD to DW was a massive mistake. DW is meant to be escapism, a fantasy about a time travelling alien called the Doctor and not RTD"s wet dream about social justice. He's completely sold out and let us all down by bringing Disney into it; it's a family show not a children's show, there's a difference. If only we could go back in time to Peter Capaldi's exit and take it from there; that way there would be no Timeless Child and no destroying River Song's backstory. If RTD had wanted a show about social justice he should have written one not hijacked DW.

A black transfemme disabled Jesus? That's telly right there! At least one of those descriptions would be closer to Jesus than he's usually portrayed in Western culture. It could be a sitcom with Gyles Brandreth as Satan and a whole host of diverse and inclusive actors as the disciples. I'm being facetious, but come on! You're a grown up (presumably); it does you no favours being all petty and cruel for the sake of it.
