- Here's the last tribute for the Insomniac Spider-Man series before I start playing Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Today we have Otto Octavious aka Doctor Octopus! Really enjoyed this more personal take with the character, showcasing his relationship with Peter before his turn to villainy. Would like to make another video in the future that would be more focused on Peter and Otto since I enjoyed the chemistry and tragic story of the two.
But yeah, since I got this video done, I will be taking a bit of a break tribute making wise, Since I will be focusing on my Let's Play in the meantime. Be sure to check the community tab for video links to the playthrough soon.

I love the irony of this version of Otto, for all his bluster about Norman lying, he’s been doing the same thing to Peter for most of the game. Awesome tribute to one of my favorite versions of Doc Ock, Michael!
Yeah it is a very sad and ironic downfall, in his pursuit to trying to bring “justice” to Norman, he basically becomes just as bad as him if not worse.

A heartbreaking, but well-selected, distillation of this incredible Doc Ock. I’ve played the game 4-5 times, now, and what I love about this take is, if
you choose to, you can explore the lab at several points in the game and see Otto’s plan slowly developing.
Personally, though the fall from grace is arguably the more palatable take, I read those moments as Otto’s true intentions from the start. He was always going to enact this plan, from the arms to Devil’s Breath, and was simply manipulating Peter for the very beginning, that’s in line with the character and makes the eventual reveal (in my opinion) more heartbreaking.
That's the second father figure Peter's destroyed.

This was a great tribute to Doc Ock. I felt it was deeply emotional and portrayed more the human side of him which is rare for most villains. Great work on this. You're so close to 34K!!
Great video! again i'm not really sure what here specifically to compliment, but you did a real nice job, i loved Otto's character, and i thought the personal relationship he had with peter is probably one of the most compelling friend(or just a close person) to villain relationships in just general spiderman media we've ever gotten, i think that he's kind of better than raimi's otto since we got more time to see him being a really great guy with pretty realistic issues deteriorate into the villain we all know. I think its super tragic that all peter and otto did to help others got completely thrown out the window because of otto's darker desires. I guess it may not all be for nothing since spiderman 2 has the lizard, so i guess peter could try to revive his work with connors, but i'm not sure they woud've thought of that, also the iron spider legs he has in all the trailers and stuff were probably inspired by his and otto's work, which is kinda neat. Actually now that i think about it, i wonder if peter and otto will have any interaction in the new game, since the symbiote and doc's arms affect their negative traits, maybe that'll be one of the things that pulls peter back, seeing himself become more like otto or something, anyway I haven't gotten spiderman 2 yet but man am i so excited to play it, hope you enjoy it too!

Man, if you knew half the crazy things that took place in the second game then you would know that everything Otto did priar would like childsplay.

Yeah that will be something I’ll make soon. I did hear there’s no new game + mode/mission selection right now but once it’s out I’ll get cracking on Venom.
This is by far the best version of Doctor Octopus since the movie version 🐙
