You still got this car man? I'm looking to get a VQ Q50, how has the infotainment been on it? Has it been laggy or slow at all? Not really a deal breaker for me just curious, how has the reliability been ?
Car reliability has been great thus far. No major issues with drive train, chassis electronics or interior electronics. The infotainment system is what you've heard it to be, but as you said, it really isn't a deal breaker considering the cost of these cars on the used market and the engine you get. It's a slow system out of the box but you get use to it. If you're coming from a older car, you won't notice a thing.. however if you coming from a car with a much newer and faster system, you might get annoyed... then forget about it cause you'll have more fun driving the car.
Specialty Z. No pops and bang map unless running test pipes, but I think you can request it 8f you really want it. Not sure how loud it will pop with stock cats on.
Some low budget muffler hack shop 😂, nothing special. Let me know if you have any questions about it, I just went for the cheapest place. Getting a new custom made exhaust system since I recently out in HFC.
There is audible drone between 1500-2000rpm especially when driving local driving in 6th gear. I often find myself driving in manual mode and keeping it in 5th gear (2000+rpm) to get rid of the drone. So yes there is drone, but it's either masked by the above method or with music.
I also want to add, for $150 to get it done, it's worth a try. It was one of the first 'mods' I did and still enjoy it 2+ years later. I am considering a HFC + custom wider cat-back system + retune in the future.
@@SteU4IA I agree about keeping it in the manual mode. I own a 3.7L ~335HP Infiniti QX50 and currently have the muffler delete with the double walled Magnaflow exhaust tips, and it's very noticeable in the RPM ranges you said. One of my favorite things though is when it rev matches when down shifting correctly. These cars sound crazy though compared to silly ricers.
I don't think it makes the car slower. The car has large amounts of back pressure from the small diameter exhaust system ( example, 1-5/8" Y pipes), if anything taking away the large, restrictive turbo-stylr muffler should reduce some back pressure. The mind expects the car to go fast when it's making that much noise. The first week I got the delete I felt like j was going slower, either it was the false perception or it's me going easy on the throttle because I wasn't use to the noise.
There will be some drone in the 2500rpm range while at slower speeds in a high gear. No drone on the highway. If you're on a budget, a muffler delete is a low cost option if you want sound. It is a bit loud though.
I drove with it for 2 years and it was manageable. I recently got HFCs installed and running a muffler delete with that is LOUD. How much sound one can tolerate will vary, best bet is to not pay too much for someone to do this in case you truely dislike it. Maybe have them take off the muffler at the flange and do a test run down the road?
Turn the music off if u recording a sound clip bro
Will do next time! Wasn't expecting to post some of the videos, I was just doing pulls for the ECUtek tune.
@@SteU4IA rich brian life tho
car sounds good man!
Thanks! I really like how yours sounds as well and your suggestion with buying aftermarket mufflers/resonators has inspired me to do the same.
Car sounds amazing bro, what brand Y-pipe? And how much difference did the Y pipe make?

Where’d you get the car tuned from, also is there any backfire map?

What kind of test pipe ?
Where'd you get the splitter and diffuser with red liner on it ?
Just the regular ol' q50 splitter and diffuse. The red is from vinyl tape.
@@SteU4IA Looks sick bud.
and don’t forget the side skirts wtff🔥🔥🔥
Your transmission is shifting fast as hell, how ????
It has a ecutek tune, but I can't imagine the shifts being that much quicker. Is yours different?
Yes my 7speed in my fx50 shift slower than yours...
I believe they use the same transmission. It would possibly be the tune.
hi, where did you do your muffler delete?

muffler delete will make NA car even slower at slow speed, I am so regret that deleted the muffler on my coupe 3.5
