Great video thank you. You have fantastic rhythm and tempo with your swing. I think you would have a very even temperament on and off the golf course to. I lived in Ireland for two years and played some of their best links courses.
Hi Direk. Im an avid 17 year old golfer from Australia and would highly recommend playing Lahinch, Portrush and Tralee. The courses near Killarney and Waterville are also fantastic
Hey Chin. Thanks and yes, Lahinch, Portrush and Waterville are on my list for my next Ireland/Northern Ireland golf trip. Plus a couple other courses in Scotland. :)
Hey Darren. Hands down RCD. RCD is my new favorite course to play (have played other great courses like the Old Course, KIngsbarns, Pebble Beach, Whistling Straits, Bethpage Black, etc). While I enjoyed the breathtaking views at Old Head, I had more fun with the tactical challenge and difficulty provided by RCD. Also a breathtaking course with beautiful backdrop but in a different way. I see that you have also played RCD before.
@@allanbrj That's a great bucket list! I live in Cork and used to caddy in the Old Head when I was younger. I've been lucky enough to play it multiple times. Maybe due to that personal connection, I prefer Old Head. It is hard to compare when it's not a true links. The one thing I didn't like about RCD was the number of blind tee shots. We didn't have a caddy so maybe we missed out due to that aspect. If you ever get the chance to come back here, check out the courses in Kerry. Ballybunion, Tralee, Waterville and Lahinch (further up the course in Clare) are - in my opinion! - better courses that both Old Head and RCD. I'm looking forward to watching the other courses you've played.
It was raining, windy, and very foggy for most of our round in Old Head. That probably took quite a bit of the enjoyment and beauty of the course plus I don't like playing in the rain :). Would be good to play Old Head again in excellent conditions. One thing I enjoyed the most though is the knowledge and friendliness of my caddie there. I say that the caddies in Europe are generally much better than the ones here in US.
+Darren Hayes, and yes, there were quite a few blind tee shots at RCD and usually I also don't like them but somehow didn't mind it at all that time. I was also OK with the blind tee shots at the Old Course and think it was due to the help of the caddies. Yes, Ballybunion and Lahinch are on my bucket list, but only heard of Waterville only recently. We actually passed by Lahinch on our way to Cliffs of Moher. Ballybunion is a little too far from Cork. But those are definitely on my plans as well as Carnoustie and Muirfield for the next Europe golf trip. Hopefully soon. :) If you're ever in New York City hit me up. We can play Bethpage Black, the site of next week's PGA Championship.

Old Head is on my bucket list. What a golf course
Indeed! The course with the most amazing views, at least of the ones I've played so far.

Beautiful. He's got game too, his rhythm stays the same on every shot.
Thanks for the kind words :)
Which did you prefer...here or Royal County Down?
