Finally recovering from tendonitis, slowly getting back behind the drums! Thank you all for the kind words and for holding out with the lack of uploads.
This one goes out to the family and friends and Twitch community that's been with me through the whole journey and the battle, being a core group of positivity and supporting me through it all. They help me discard my fear of the unknown. Oh, how things have changed.
A fantastic song by a fantastic band. Musical drumming, nothing too crazy but very fitting parts!

Oh gosh, it is so nice to be back playing some drums after many months without even touching them and barely using my right arm! Still a bit rusty, haha.

But, were you the person who a while back (years maybe) was talking about supporting small channels or upcoming drummers with encouraging comments?
ie a drummer with very low views who is really trying hard?

between 2015-2017 especially, and for a period in 2019, I very much tried to take time out of every day to check out other drummers on twitch - especially those with lower views or subs - and drop a comment of appreciation and encouragement, indeed! And I started a community where we tried to support one another as well as smaller drummers we found on the platform. It's something I'd like to start doing again, I just got to schedule time for it.. Hopefully within the next couple of months I'll start doing it again :)
So yeah, you're right! Curious - why are you asking?

I use Sibelius for the past 7 years! Been looking to transfer to MuseScore as it's free and I then can suggest/teach it to students, but I haven't made the move yet.

I don't get around it! CZcams's got a very developed audio recognition system. So it detects what songs you use generally, and then puts ads on the videos and give the ad money to the record labels. So I'm not getting around it - I'm just accepting the situation. So I make no money off of these videos :)

What is your cymbals setup? Seems to be Meinl Pure Alloy? Sounds perfect.
You're absolutely right! 15" hats, 16" + 18" crashes, 22" ride, then a 20" foundry reserve light ride. Unfortunately broke my 20" crash, will eventually switch out the 16"!

I played many many hours almost every day throughout march, then had multiple extended sessions/streams in April, so I got hit by elbow tendonitis in May. I took June off and it helped partially, but as I got back to playing it snuck up on me again. So if I've been drumming, it's been 1-armed for the past almost half year!
Working out and doing physical exercises would help build up strength to prevent it, and taking regular breaks for stretches. And occasionally switching up your setup to force your body to play differently. But yeah, in general, just don't push too far! haha!
Glad to be back, even though it'll probably take another month until I'm fully recovered.
@@maxadrums Interesting that you had an injury at the same time I did. I’m not 100% sure if my injury is drumming related (might be the fox!) but I’m taking a break from drumming also. I had a “frozen shoulder” which is basically a nightmare, because you lose almost all use of your arm, and you feel crippled. Saw a doctor, got a Cortizone shot, they suggested I start doing physical therapy at home, and nine months later I’m good again. But it was very scary, now I only play the drums occasionally, out of fear of it happening again. Cheers!
