Get the radiator braces. I know it's not a performance mod but it will save your radiators when you drop it on the trails and happen to find a hidden rock. Replacement radiators for the YZ are not cheap!
You might want to make the left side header clamp bolt shorter. In case the bike falls on a rock, that bolt won't punch a hole in the side of the head. I made a seat strap from a piece of serpentine belt, I put it under the side panels through the seat bolts. It is super strong and looks factory. And last but not least a kick-starter.
FYI reusable filters dont filter down to the same micron as paper...i bought a bike with FMF, had a DR. D on my old bike, back to back, DR gave more bottom to mid, FMF more top. Absolute must is to weld chainguide tabs , break off super easy.
Great common sense mods for this bike. I love the forks, heck I love the overall suspension on the YZ, and it feels smaller than a KTM. I just cant get past the weight. It weighs so much more than a KTM. I know weight isn't everything, but there it is. Maybe if you could cut 19 lbs??? LOL. Super nice bike tho. I would go with a mouse bib or a tubeless setup. I will never go back to inner tubes. OH oh, don't forget radiator braces/guards of some kind.
when you change the exhaust on a carburated bike you have to mess with jetting and all that, since this is fuel injected what do you do? does it adjust automatically or mess with the mapping?
Hey brother, I have the same bike and year. I love this bike i have rode it twice and it resides great. How do you like the Full FMF, I only have the 4.1 slip on but thinking of getting the rest to give the bike a little bit more bottom and mid? I did a shirt review of the bike on my channel. Do you still have the crf250r? How do you like the yz125?
Im probably getting the 2020 model of your bike when it comes out. How do you like yours?? Anything feedback would be helpful since I don't know anyone who owns one. Thanks!
Its a really great bike. The power is amazing, handles great, just does everything well for me. Biggest drawback for me is that I can feel the weight of it. This is a heavy motorcycle. The 2020 should feel lighter!
@@GOATbro_Australia I'm in the market for new bike seriously considering one of these..2019 -20... or possibly a KTM 250 xc-f. You mentioned the bike being heavy....but in earlier comments was only 5lbs more than the ktm. What other bikes you comparing it to that makes it feel so heavy?? Hopefully I can shed some weight with some aftermarket parts ...battery...full ti exhaust..etc.

Very nice! Your impeller will cool you even more. I'm torn between this and the KTM. I love Yamaha!
I have always been a Yamaha guy and bought a 2018 YZ250FX. My thoughts on the KTM was I didn't believe the extra money would make mme go any faster!

As the T-1000 said, Say that’s a nice bike. 😀👍☠️
LostInPA best comment I've seen this year😂😂😂👌🏻
Need to do a ride review...looking at this but the 2020.
More Yamaha porn please...! Really nice simple, functional mods, I wish we got the FX in the UK; we only get either the WR or the YZ250-F.
Cant wait to get mine for my birthday April 21ST WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
That looks like aloooooot of money

only 5 pounds apart, YZ is wet weight and KTM is listed dry weight, add fuel and oil to the KTM and it is about the same.
Very nice ! !
I love my 17 fx...

I have not done anything. Runs great, no adjustments to fuel injection.

Great video
Have you ridden any since installing the FMF system? I'm about to put the same one on my '18 fx and am curious how it changes the power.
Every Japanese bike definitely could do with a Magura hydraulic clutch 😉 easy fitted but not exactly cheap
Nice👌

Dope af!
What size rear sprocket did you install and did you change the front sprocket as well?
I went up one tooth. Think that is 51. No change to front.
hi man whats up i want to get a 250 im between a yz250fx or a honda crf250rx im just not sure if im tall enough im 5’7-5’8 is that enough
I was 5’2 when I bought my 250fx. The Honda is more race ready, but it only has a 5 speed and not as much low grunt.
Hey does that fan fits a 450f or just FX?
You would need to check with Yamaha. It would be a yamaha accessory if they offer it.
Fery2 good
